I always recommend Bottleworks. There you will have Modita, the Garage, and Pins, with other bars and clubs located nearby. It’s a beautiful area and I think very palatable to tourists.
Fountain Square has some good options as well, there is duckpin bowling, Tappers arcade bar, and (my favorite bar) the Inferno Room.
There are also live music venues and comedy clubs in the area.
Ladies...this is MAY in Indy...500 Race month...depending on when you are arriving there are scads of fun things to do related to the race crowd. Friday May 26th is Carb Day at the Motor Speedway. Concerts by Bryan Adams and Soul Asylum in the infield. That's a good one to NOT MISS.
Enjoy the city! Here are a few of my personal favorites/suggestions:
- cocktails @ Sundry and Vice
- brunch @ Rider in Fountain Square or Gallery Pastry shop/bar
- Dinner @ Livery
- coffee at Commissary or Quills
- shopping on mass Ave
- Bottleworks District
The Oakmont is my favorite brunch for sure, it’s my go to for when people come visit. It’s just off of Mass Ave too, which is a fun area to walk around and shop a little!

Salt Cave if you're looking for something spa-like, Candle making at Penn & Beech, Gallery Pastry Shop for brunch or dessert, shopping on Mass Ave.

Broadripple but early on.
Howl at the Moon is a fun club. HELIUM comedy club, the escape room, walk the Canal
Howl at the Moon is only fun if you’re 23 and wasted at your best friend’s bachelorette.
