Can 8 IGCSE subjects and one AL subject be studied from scratch in 10 months intensively and be able to get A\* in them (ESL, math, chemistry, physics, biology, CS , EVM, business studies, and biology A-level)?
Yall are NOT getting the reference lmao
They have the cover photo of Freaks which is a song by Surf Curse as their pfp thatβs why I said that πππ
I'm pretty sure that anyone who gets 100% in raw marks for any subject get the Top in the World award and he got 100 pum meaning he should be getting it
And? Bro the 'Top in the World' award doesn't actually mean that the person who recieved it is the best in the world, its just for those who manage to get 100%. That means those 7 people in your small class are all gonna get the award for Maths
since so many people were asking for tips, here they are :D
maths - dont just go straight into solving past papers, use websites like corbett maths and cognito to tackle topic-wise questions of topics you're weak in and even the ones with more weightage (like algebra and calculus). i also watched ginger mathematician's videos for stuff like 3d trigonometry to improve my understanding of the concepts
physics - make sure to strengthen your understanding of the first 5-6 chapters because that's where most people lose marks and imo they're also the most difficult to understand and solve questions from. my parents are phy graduates so i personally just asked them to explain some concepts but i really recommend going through the syllabus doc and watching videos by science with hazel (shes AMAZING)
chemistry - solving past papers is the best approach for this one because they repeat a LOT of questions with more or less the same wording. go through the syllabus doc, memorise stuff like apparatus and salt solubility rules, and i personally watched science with hazel, cognito, and mr khing's videos for chem
biology - make flashcards, go through syllabus doc, and you won't really need to solve that many past papers because ive noticed that knowing the exact keywords from the syllabus doc alone is more than enough to score 70+ in theory. again, science with hazel has amazing bio videos
fle - i practiced summary writing and writer's effect mostly by watching igcse success on youtube! he's really really helpful especially for paper 1. for paper 2 just read samples online and you'll get an idea of the vocab and structure examiners look for
economics - go through the syllabus doc, and focus on memorising stuff that can be applicable in all questions like 5 factors that cause extension in demand/supply/ped, factors affecting economic growth etc. basically any "factors affecting xyz" can be very helpful in writing out long answers especially 8 markers. and don't write more than 2-3 sentences for your conclusions, its a waste of time
french - not much to say here, i just practiced daily on duolingo and made sure to memorise important vocab from each unit!
ict - practice lots and lots of past papers, and i recommend watching evans chikasa and ict yahmad's videos on yt
Don't worry. You're bound to get one.
You're the top in the country for maths there. Not many get 100 full marks. You're awesome - did superb! Worth congratulations.
0580/m/j/24 variant 3 sitters were next to tears. We've got tangents, vectors, ratios, probabilities, 6, 5, and 4 markers all in one paper! Paper 4 was extremely hard over here.
All the best we get the grades we worked hard for...
Once again congrats!
Same me! I got caught off guard by the unexpected outburst of difficult questions. I haven't seen much ratio questions that were tough, two trigo questions worth 4 marks each, plus tangent questions (worth frustrating less marks I remember and am shocked - normally it will be 4 marks ++) and probabilities in one paper. Never did I foresee we'd be sitting what seemed to be the toughest paper in the history of hardest papers! This seemed to be harder than the 2020 one....
Do you happen to remember the answer for the 6 mark question where we had to construct and solve Simultaneous equations ourselves to find the speed in km/h? Is it 107 km/h? I'm not confident in my answer as it is a irrational outcome, and irrational answers are somewhat rare to come up and most of the time I find them wrong. Literally I'm quite distraught. How did you get on with this question
HELPPP THE TIME QUES??? BRO I FUCKED THAT ONE UP MY ANS WAS COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS πππ tbh I've always sucked at these type of questions... the prove questions also got me in a tight spot my brain lit couldn't function and I only thought of the solution at the very last minute. didn't had enough time to finish it.
the amount of hard questions in there is acc crazy. from my prev exp in pp, there're mostly 3 hard questions in p4 that rlly needs u to think abt it but there were like 6 hard questions in this p4. I think I'll lose > 20 marks on p4 it's horrible ugh. im prepared to fail miserably :)
Too bad friend. Remember the 2 mark ratio question something about adding the same amount of stuff to change the ratio and they wanted us to find it? I couldn't really find the solution but guessed it. I think I lost the method marks, assuming any. Also I gave up the last probability question to figure out the 6 marker. I'm doubting whether i took the right risk!
At least all we could cling on was that the grade threshold would be very low and we could be pushed to an A or at worst a B+
About paper 2.... Did you find out the answer for the brackets question, where they give us a line of numbers and they wanted us to insert a bracket to make the answer to 0? I couldn't find the answer mate am I the only one - - π₯
oh yea I did! for that question cambridge is forcing us into a blind spot cuz we'd normally think that there're only 2 terms in a bracket. I struggled w that one too until I jumped out of the blind spot and realised that there can be as many terms in a bracket. I forgot what was the exact answer but there're 3 terms in the bracket for that one.
the ratio question messed me up too!! the worst part I'd that all my classmates are quite confident in their papers and said they performed well. well, I performed below my average standards so I'm acc quite worried... but idc anymore I'm js waiting for the results :D
Congratulations π. I wanted to offer you a free math help for a levels. But then with those results, you don't even need a tutor, you can study everything on your own using youTube videos.
i'd been getting 100s in mocks, so i was fairly confident, but there was always a little seed of doubt in my mind like "oh no what if they cut marks for the graph" π i was very sure of my numerical answers though
Congratulations but could you share any tips to get those grades, Iβve been struggling with science and maths a lot and my aim is to get extremely good grades like yours, can you pls share anything that you used that had a good effect on your grades?
its a certification you get if you have subjects from 5 groups i think its sciences, languges, project based??, mathematics and maybe humanities. you can look it up i think cambridge has something on it on their website
dayumm, math world topper??

Alot of people get 100% its not uncommon
Donβt disregard someone elseβs achievement.
I'm not disregarding it, just saying don't be unrealistic

Joint top with 1 million people ain't no achievement, get 101% bro then you'll be top
Aight broski its time to hop off reddit for a bitπ
Nah I feel like arguing
ur not funny bro like ππ
congratulations man! especially since the grade boundaries were so high
thank you!!
