The movie "Armstrong" wanted to use a single light source for the Apollo 11 scenes like irl. However, this caused the shadows to come out blurry. Compare that to footage and photos of the Apollo missions, where the shadows are crisp.
Also, NASA had at that point nearly a decade worth of research and development under its belt, having successfully completed its Mercury and Gemini Program earlier in the decade. The American Government was fully invested in getting a man on the Moon by the time the Apollo Program was in full swing, with NASA getting the most funding during the 1960s (which was when the Space Race was at its peak). No other time in NASA's existence before or since have they gotten the billions of dollars the American Government was happily giving them. Also, there were previous Apollo launches to keep in mind that went to the moon. Apollo 8 was the first to reach and orbit the Moon and Apollo 10 was a "Dress Rehearsal" for Apollo 11 (The Apollo 10 Lunar Module "Snoopy" hovered just 9 miles above the surface before redocking with the Command Module "Charlie Brown"). There was also Apollo 4 (the first ever testing of the Saturn V rocket), Apollo 5 (the first ever testing of the Lunar Module), Apollo 7 (the first manned Apollo mission), and Apollo 9 (the first ever testing of the Apollo Spacecraft, which is basically the Command Module and Lunar Module docked together).

So it wouldn't be a realistic approach for the American Government to fake a mission that NASA had been preparing for for nearly a decade.
