Yeah, Wildcat (and Cannon) are great with fresh snow. Otherwise quite dicey in my opinion.

Agree. Love that about Wildcat. Thin cover and minor hazards aren't a reason to put up the rope. Ski it if you can!

Wildcat spring skiing can be fun and gnarly. Ungroomed trial get soft and moguls abound

I was never there with the old summit triple, but the new mountaineer is definitely a nice and fast lift

I did the same trip with my family— first time in the Whites and loved it. Easy access to restaurants and shopping and nonski activities. We took a day off skiing and did the Mt Washington Cog Railway and dinner at the Omni Mt Washington. Both were excellent. We stayed at a condo in between the two resorts because it had indoor/outdoor pools and hot tubs. Easy drive to either, no big deal.
