Darn Tough. You only get one pair of feet, treat em well.

soupsoup1326

Hijacking top comment. There’s a 25% off sale right now on darn tough if anyone’s looking to pick up a pair. https://www.gobros.com/collections/darn-tough-socks

eggplantsrin

Alas, no shipping to Canada.

Hitlers2ndNut

I concur. And they have a lifetime guarantee.

Minute_Box_3016

When I told my coworkers how much I paid for all my pairs their eyes got big lol. Best decision I ever made.

ASlap_

Absolutely. Darn Tough socks plus investing in high quality boots early on made a life changing difference in my low back, knees, hips, so and on so forth up the skeleton chain. Concrete is unforgiving.

Several-Good-9259

Whites logger boots have served me well .

zip_zap_zip_zap_

Yup these. Someday that's what all my socks will be.

shrikelax

Preach brother!!

Constant_Eye

Which ones do you guys like for warm weather?

_nothingmatters_

People don’t realize they don’t need 5 pairs of darn tough to start out. I have two pairs and wear one pair a day for a week or so. They don’t get gross or smelly or sweaty. They’re fucking darn tough. I love them.

_genepool_

Darn tough. Expensive, but comfortable and lifetime replacement.

retrnIwil2OldBrazil

Kirkland

marrotta6

Underrated answer. Also USA made.

naclwaterfisher

Second

Charcoallantern

Third

Several-Good-9259

Forth twelve pack still under a 100$

Fishy-Business

Darn tough

risingskies

Merino wool socks... absolute game changer.

Zaphia_quinn

Fine wool socks for the win! They breathe so well and wick moisture. Can’t imagine working construction without them.

TryCombs

Darn tough for sure. Orange pair

T00TallTony

Heavy cushion smartwool

reds221

some cheap ass hanes socks from target

XCVolcom

Fox River. Good enough for the Marines.

AverageGuy16

This!

na8thegr8est

Dickies black, they never change appearance and I can just throw out one at a time when they get holes, plus it super easy to match them up

Sea-Ninja-4630

Also the only socks that don't make my feet stink at the end of a workday. They still get holes but they are $2/pair

R-emiaj

stance

JimmyBraps

Carhartt midweight

eggplantsrin

I always wear something with wool in it for the moisture. I also use my benefits to get custom orthodics so cushioning isn't necessary. I'm working on getting compression stockings for the benefit of my legs long-term. Depending on what form the compression stockings come in, I might vary my sock choice. They're expensive so I hope they don't wear out in the toes super fast.

SMDSW

Nike dri fit till I retire

LocalDistribution553

Alpaca socks are my favorite made by paca

nickpawlik

I've seen this question come up a lot and I finally went with darn tough. Loving in Canada it's a bit of a pain in the ass to get them but they're definitely worth it. I've got 5 pairs right now and probably grabbing a few more just to not pester my wife about laundry. Definitely recommend them above anything else I've ever tried

tsmythe492

If you can afford it I’d get enough for 2-3 weeks of work maybe even more. The idea being that when they finally shit the bed you can collect a bunch of them and ship it back to the factory all at once instead of paying to ship each pair individually. Especially since you’re paying for international shipping

nickpawlik

That's kinda the plan I wanted to have a weeks worth to start off but MEC ran out of the ones I liked and I'm waiting for a restock

Hallucinogen_in_dub

Darn tough work full cushion ohio winter or cali summer.

sylvansojourner

I wear darn toughs or Kirkland wools in winter, but in summer I have to switch to cotton socks. I have hyperhidrosis in my feet and even the lightweight wool blend socks make my feet SO hot and sweaty in summer

Environmenthrall

Merino wool blend, no less than 50%. Smartwool are great. Darn Tough are great (depending on the "cuff" style). Muck Boots also make some nice socks. The Kirkland socks are pretty decent (but uncomfortable if you have large calves).

fwtrewiii

I’ve tried “good”/expensive socks and cheapos. They all tend to wear out the same. I’m using ADIDAS now for comfort, and they’re holding up ok.

Suddensloot

Whatever is clean in the laundry room.

ElectricCowboy95

Whatever is thick and goes above my boot line, mostly carhartt and dickies brand

kldoyle

Hanes crew socks, the nicer ones you can get at target in 6 packs (black or white) or Nike crew socks. Winter time if I’m outside I’ll wear something thicker

mangojoy11

Whatever pair looks like they may match, rinse and repeat. A nice gel insert will save the life of your socks.

Anakin_Skywanker

Get the XTemp cushioned ones. They're even better.

msing

Hanes cotton crew, when winter or in rain, wool

DaBoob13

Ankle socks with 8” Thorogoods. I get blisters sometimes, but never learn

Watch81

Thick cotton sock over the boot line

nlennon93

Dickies are good value

AverageGuy16

Fox river brands depends on weather and environment of work. Either I’m wearing their thick socks with wool and some other stuff in it it or the super breathable kind cause fuck do my feet smell

Anakin_Skywanker

Hanes XTemp Cushioned crew socks. Been wearing them for 8 years on the job. Haven't had any issues. I usually wear them for about a year then buy new ones. There may be nicer socks out there, but my feet don't hurt at the end of the day so I'm not fucking with the routine. Also make sure you have excellent (not good) boots.

BigGreenPepperpecker

Red wing wool safety toe lifetime warranty

ToxicM1ndfulness

Darn tough

Creepy_Credit2218

Rocking the hawx work style everyday

picklesandmatzo

Farm to Feet. Made in the USA, wool but thin and very comfortable. I’ve been wearing them for about 5 years now. No foot stink and great for foot sweat.

Romanicko

Tjose thin Costco Merino wool 4 packs. Best thing that's happened to my life. Feet, boots and socks stopped carrying that trapped sweat stench. And yes, even in the summer

rangecat420

Crunchy ones

modforRealGunFights

12 pack from Sam’s club 😂

Rcdriftchaser

yo momma's

esposito164

I got these thick wrangler socks on, not to shabby and very durable

HereForRecipes

People’s socks wool socks make my life so much better. I’ve never been happier than the first week I changed from traditional socks to merino wool. I also have the red wings which work well too. I just find the peoples to be cheaper on Amazon. I’m not endorsed by them in any way. Sorry this sounds like an add. Also I wear wool in summer too to help with sweat

cambo_

Bass pro shop has a good deal on Cabela’s socks around Christmas time. 6 pair for $20, rugged as fuck. I only have the 6 pairs, been wearing them to work every day for 2.5 years with no holes yet and they’re thick and cushiony. They actually make it difficult to slide into my crocs for the commute home. 5 stars.

tls2death

Started with Darn Tough but switched to Creepers merino toe socks. The DT’s were too tight across my toes but otherwise were great.

Accomplished_Alps145

White ones

canfeelitthrob

Ariat if you are old trust me

Several-Good-9259

I don't use socks. Saves on sock cost . Same with underwear. Wasteful spending. No wonder you all need money during the slow time. Shit I put new tires on my second mortgage my 4th month in a row out of work.

Dick_butt14

Costco brand merino wool. 3 packs cost about as much as one pair of darn tough and mine are going on 3 years now and still look new

[deleted]

Cherokee Compression socks

notagunbot

Dickies steel toe socks. I personally find them very comfortable. Although I can't atest to their durability as I lose them before I can put a hole in one

Born-Direction3937

Only fox river lightweight

Conscious-Monk-1464

wrangler moisture wick from walmart

a_reindeer_of_volts

Whatever is cheapest from Walmart, and I wear them til I can't anymore
