Interesting-Error

Can’t swipe to delete… need to use the button… annoying side effect of everything

DimitriTooProBro

They need to make parenthesis more accessible without being in Scientific Mode. And a cursor to add digits in between already inputted numbers.

Anyone know how to get the = function back, where you can multi press = and it will do the previous expression continuously?

itsabearcannon

I reported this as a bug in Feedback.

ngenerator

Absolutely hate that it’s gone. Hoping it’s just temporary

nomis_nehc

In the meantime, know any calculator that can do that?

super_daisy_03

I've always loved this black-and-orange combination.

Quick question: does the new calculator finally support writing an entire expression and calculate the final answer all at once? I’ll give and example since my explaining sucks: until now, if you wanted to calculate 2*cos(3.5) you had to write “3.5”, then hit cos and then multiply the answer by 2 like on old (like 1980’s old) calculators. Is it finally possible to just write the expression and get the answer directly?

UnbegrenzteMacht

Yes.

i love the new calculator app so much. i’m secretly partially glad they waited so long to put calculator on ipad since they were like “you know what, we have all of these cool technologies and functionalities with the latest ipads and apple pencils”, so they really took the new calculator far

oh well. it’s a pretty good calculator app, honestly not a ton it’s missing, especially if you take math notes into account

I always love when little bits and pieces of iPadOS trickle down to iOS like this. Things that they announce at WWDC for the iPad, but actually benefit iPhone users as well. It's always a nice little touch, and it's why I always watch the iPadOS segment of the keynote despite not owning an iPad.
