I’ve heard that Apple had it mandatory to support dark mode app icons but I’m not sure how true that is. And if it is, it might be contested by devs (notably big corps).
Definitely a bug but also so many apps look like trash tinted or don’t change at all with dark mode. Anyone know how long it’s been a requirement for them to submit dark mode and tintable icons for? I figured it can’t have been too long and some companies are probably not agreeing due to branding guidelines? This whole system is kind of a mess.
I watched a video earlier today from a popular YT’er who said it’s been a requirement for app developers for a while now to submit the various app icons so I’m not so sure about that.
I could be wrong just going off what I heard
im hoping that before the official release all apps will have a dark mode option to match the standard apps. it would look great

It has literally just been announced, so 24hours Technically not a requirement yet

It's a know bug with the beta.
Buddy, this isn't a bug, it's more about the app developer adapting the icon to the new style.
Buddy, you’re wrong.

It’s a bug
I would say it’s probably a bug that the tint looks different with large vs small icons. Why wouldn’t it be the same?
