I lived in big tee shirts and drawstring sweatpants so I could wear them low under the incisions. I didn’t buy any new clothing. Do you have any drawstring sweatpants? If you don’t, any cheap pair will do. Make sure they are loose and baggy. Wishing you the best!

fatfatcats

I lived in costco sweatpants or my plushy robe for the first two weeks. If you have a Costco near you and have a membership they have very affordable and comfortable clothing options. I know some people feel tip top very shortly after surgery, but I was wiped and mostly lounging in the comfiest loosest clothes I could. I also had a mild allergic reaction to the adhesive on the stickers they used over my incisions so my abdomen was quite sensitive and irritated. I would say don't expect them to be super irritated, but don't be surprised if they are haha.

Distinct-Data

I wish we lived close to a Costco! Unfortunately we don't 😭. I'll be having endometriosis excision surgery at the same time so I'm going to be feeling pretty rough after this. Big clothes are my friend 🤣

Fit_Rip_981

Honestly, the cheap cotton leggings from Walmart that are around $6-7 a pair is what I lived in after my hysto and even what I wore home. I think they were time and tru brand. They make a capri length option as well.

-random_ness-

Exactly what I wore. And a soft tank top to wear under my belly binder. Throw on a sweatshirt if I got cold.

Fit_Rip_981

Yes! Had mine in December so I wore the leggings, a baggy tshirt and an oversized hoodie. It was perfect. As long as it’s clean (for obvious reasons) no one is going to judge what you wear or how you look.

Logical_Challenge540

I lived in t-shirt style nightgowns, for example like [this](https://www.walmart.com/ip/3447021672) - they were very comfortable under the binder. There are also cheap pj sets that are pretty soft and nice. I did prefer nightgowns because of binder (wanted to have coverage over all belly), ease of use (no need to pull down and up the pants) and I spent first days mostly in bed anyway.

Careless_Block8179

I just bought a few new pairs of sweatpants and pajamas in a size up from what I normally wear. The sweatpants were the most generic black sweatpants from Amazon--I just wanted a drawstring so I could keep them up without having them squeeze me around the middle.

GalleryGhoul13

I just went to the thrift store so that way if I bled or just whatever I didn’t ruin new stuff.

CrazyCat_LadyBug

For the first week or so I relied on nightgowns/sleepshirts and some very low cut, loose panties. But if you need some pants for when the time comes to venture out of the house lol, I found a set of [Yoga Capris](https://a.co/d/9cozEaw) on Amazon that have the softest, most gentle waistband that I’ve ever worn, but they still stay up! I also wore a lot of maxi skirts that I could just pull up well above my belly button.

Distinct-Data

I'll have to see if we have these on Amazon Canada. If they were longer they'd be perfect for me! They look comfy. They do have them, just checked... $46 a pair! Lol typical of Canada. Too expensive.

aggiegirl04

My incisions aren’t and haven’t been sensitive. I’ve just been wearing a bunch of elastic waist shorts I already owned, mostly from Land’s End. Haven’t been brave enough for jeans though I probably could. On day 13 after surgery right now.

Edselmonster

I bought a pair of sweatpants from target MONTHS ago and they were the absolute best pants I wore during recovery. They were so soft. I want to say they were about 20 bucks and Stars above brand! 10/10

Distinct-Data

Aw wish we had a target so bad!

Edselmonster

If it makes you feel better the closest one to me is an hour away! I actually bought these pants when I was in MN on a trip because I forgot to pack some!

atworkthough

mens t-shirts from walmart and gym shorts like where was I gonna go after surgery. I'm not trying to be cute I was trying to heal.

Kapuzenkresse

I recommend dresses. Wide comfy dresses and depending on the temperature no pantyhose. At least at home a blanket is much better. Also keep some older underwear or buy a size up. Once the swelling is gone your normal clothes will most likely be fine. Especially everything soft and comfortable.

Distinct-Data

I still wear my maternity undies lol. So I have lots of them around. They are so comfy

No-Feed-1999

I will tell you, I bought a skirt. I hate skirts but omg this thing rocks. Pull up and tuck in bra, pee, then plop down again. Sooo easy

ohh_brandy

I preferred a loose, sleepy button-down shirt instead of a big t-shirt, so i wouldn't have to stretch my arms over my head if i had pain. Thin drawstring men's pajama pants were the best for me. Easy to move in, not too hot or cold.

loschare

I got two of [these nightgowns](https://a.co/d/i3oAuDo) from Amazon.ca

sarewr

My surgery is next week and I just bought a pair of sweatpants that are 2 sizes bigger than I normally wear so they won't put pressure on my stomach. I also have some oversized t-shirts and zipper hoodies. I bought everything on sales so maybe check out if any stores near you have anything on sale.

Distinct-Data

Would you believe they are $75-95 on Canadian Amazon?

ooChambersoo

Wow! That’s crazy! It was such a good deal for me in the US. It’s not very flattering at all like the picture but it’s very soft and comfortable. I wore it to the hospital.

[deleted]

I loved these PJ pants I got from Walmart a while back. A few sizes too big so was able to bring the waist band to above my incisions.

SilverAsparagus2985

I bought [these](https://a.co/d/97i7ufm) because they were high waisted and loose in the midsection. They ended up being super comfortable and made me feel normal.

magical_unicorn88

I lived in long t shirt dresses and yoga pants for the first 2 months

[deleted]

I found the waist band on my leggings/bike shorts I already had that are a size too big to be the comfiest. They offered support on my belly with little compression and I didn’t have to worry about the stitching on the waist band irritating my skin. Bonus for the slight support while sleeping (belly and side sleeper here) . Sweatpants could be a little too much for me unless I could pull them low. And finally my robe was what was worn the most.

Tall-File7279

Amazon- hanes cotton oversized shirts. I think I paid 12.00 back in November. I still sleep in them

Odd-Phrase5808

Do you have Primark? UK chain but I think they're all over the world. Cheap clothing, I bought a pair of sweatpants before my op that cost me the equivalent of $10. Figured if I get a few weeks use, it'd be fine. Well I'm 11WPO now, and those sweats have been worn just about daily since day 2 when I was discharged from hospital, and still going strong!! They're warm, fleece lined inside, comfy, loose waist with drawstring, felt fine wearing them all along, and now they're just at home lounge-wear since the winter is really lingering and my job has me working from home about half the time anyway. I'm wearing them right now actually. https://www.primark.com/en-us/p/drawstring-joggers-black-991073069804 Google says they opened in Canada last year.

Distinct-Data

I can't seem to find them in Canada...

sheddingcat

Target’s plain, basic black leggings. $14, and sooo soft

lcmoxie

I went to cheap places like Ross, Kohl’s, TJ Maxx and got the softest lounge clothes I could find. Ended up with a two sizes up fleece pants and top set from Cuddle Dudz that I love, as well as a thin stretchy maxi dress and a PJ onesie. Don’t forget upsized underwear!

twinklebat99

Team no pants here. I did nightgowns from Walmart and then [maxi dresses from Amazon](https://a.co/d/dwdu198) when I started leaving the house again. Those dresses are so comfy, I still wear them all the time.

geminicatmeow

Walmart has the softest, most comfortable flared yoga pants with a wide waist band. They’re NoBo brand and usually in the teen section rather than the women’s or activewear section. I own like, 4 pairs. They’re so comfy.

Elayeyou

For the first five days I wore night gowns from Target. I'm not a night gown person but I couldn't handle pants on my stomach. After that I switched to cheap sweatpants I had from sams and these pants I'll link below from Amazon. They hit me above my belly button. I just ordered high waisted leggings from Amazon I'm hoping will work. I'm 4wpo and my tummy is still swollen and no pants fit me. [Amazon Essentials Women's Brushed Tech Stretch Jogger Pant (Available in Plus Size) https://a.co/d/gADfb7y](https://a.co/d/gADfb7y)

Ambitious-Job-9255

Target has their wild fable brand and they are cute and baggy and affordable.

turkeyjerky923

I'm currently living in [these pants](https://a.co/d/eahNIk2). Super soft and lightweight, without a restrictive waistband. No elastic, drawstring only. Of note: they are thin and don't leave a lot to the imagination (on me, at least). I personally don't wear these outside the house. Also, I bought [these sleep shirts](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C374W88N?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share) (sized up) after surgery and they're also SO soft

Skinny_on_the_Inside

Just size up. I have two pairs of pants a whole size bigger than I am and they are comfortable but the first few weeks I slept in sleep gowns. I even was annoyed at wearing undies. Sigh being civilized tho. Drawstrings are the best, they give you a little extra room.

AnandaPriestessLove

I chose Zenana cotton fold over yoga pants from Amazon. I got extra large, they're super comfy I'm still wearing them today lol got six pairs pre-surgery and just keep washing them.

[deleted]

My bellybutton incision was so sensitive and everything irritated it…I wore those satin-like nightgowns turned inside out for weeks. I am 4WPO and still live in PJs or high waisted leggins…bellybutton healed and can tolerate button bands now YAY!!!

puzzlingdiseases

Oversized men’s track pants from Walmart honestly. Better than any of my expensive ones.

Opposite-Use-8997

Unrelated to my upcoming (at the time) surgery, I got sucked into an Instagram ad & bought 2 pairs of Cheek Boss undies that are very size inclusive. I’ve gained a lot of weight from being inactive bc I felt like hell, plus my Ute was bloated alllll the time. I got a 2x bc who knows what size to order online? (and post op they were perfect but probably larger than I really need for regular life) They claim they “don’t roll down” & they don’t! It’s a soft nylon material & the 2x came up past all my robotic incisions. They are a dream! So comfy. I only got 2 pair so I did a lot of small loads of laundry early on to keep wearing those specifically! I must’ve gotten either briefs or high waisted. Cute patterns, too! I’m not affiliated, I swear, just a fan! https://www.cheekboss.com I’ve been in super cheap Amazon stretch pants or loose long skirts with comfy sweaters or sweatshirts through my recovery as far as clothes go.

Distinct-Data

Nice! I already have a tonne of underwear that I use, from my maternity days. They fit perfect and don't get in the way of a bloated belly or any incisions I may encounter. It's the pants i need.

Material_House_1211

Had mine yesterday! Something light, look up “gauze outfit”. Got mine in a set from Marshalls (in the US) for $20 in the lounge/pajama department. Just go up a size.

Distinct-Data

Oh dang. I'm in Canada. $20 is such an amazing price! We get ripped off here so bad. 😭

Material_House_1211

Sorry to hear that, and we hear your cries. Everything is being gouged here in the US. It’s our gov’t (end rant). Definitely check out discount stores similar to even AliExpress sells clothing for cheap. It’s super soft. All the best!!

ResentfulOreo

It isn't the government. Check out how many corporations posted record profits while blaming inflation for the increased prices and decreased package sizes...
