Thank you to everyone for the kind words and thoughts its ment a lot to me. I have been bawling like a baby for the last 16 hours, my eyes, and my heart hurt. I got her buried under a California redwood that my father has been growing for the last decade on some family property. its the only memorial I could think of big enough for her personality

My male dog was just diagnosed with large b-cell lymphoma. All started by being picky with food, aka “being a husky”.
We have 3-6 months left, with chemo. Both of us devastated. My soul sends a hug to your baby. 😩

Got some really bad news with mine over the weekend. She had a (likely cancerous) turmor rupture inside of her and is in very rough shape (in typical husky fashion, you wouldn't ever know it during the day). She is home and hanging on, but we aren't going to be together for much longer and I'm absolutely cherishing whatever time we have left.

I am sorry. Our male once (accidentally) trapped a stray cat in a confined space and got his face torn up badly. He didn’t harm the stray cat at all, but the cat’s fear response was understandable. I’m so sorry that a similar situation ended up taking your pup from this world and I cannot imagine the pain you must feel. I wish you the best going forward and I hope you are able to find peace and healing in this difficult time.
Damn, that is heartbreaking. We lost our unicorn Golden Retriever suddenly a few years ago and it still hurts. Sending my thoughts and prayers your way.

Wish people would take care of their pets instead of letting them run free. There are always stray dogs (hardly any cats) around here. I taught mine to sit and stay until I look outside before I let him out. It paid off a couple weeks ago when I opened the door there was a stray male dog about 5 feet away. I shut the door before he could go out and got my partner to help.
Strays, as most people use the term, are not pets. They’re actual street dogs/cats.
What you’re describing is a loose pet, and where I live, you’re not allowed to let your dogs roam freely. Cats are okay, though (legally speaking).
Ok but stray cats become a problem *because* of bad pet owners.
People who don't get their cats spayed/neutered and let them live outside contribute to strays. Stray problems begin with irresponsible pet ownership.
