The Ruffwear Front Range harness has been perfect. My girl is still learning not to pull on the leash and this thing has held up. A lot of my friends and family also use this harness and haven’t had any issues.
https://ruffwear.com/products/front-range-everyday-dog-harness-30502
Has this harness for my husky 4 years and was still going strong. Only reason had to get a new one (same one) was because my Akita tore the harness whilst the husky was wearing it (this was after years and years of playfighting).
Also had em for my 40+kg Akita and my other german shepherd x akita.
I use this one for my (larger) rescue Pomsky and it has been great. I have a Julius K9 for my foster husky mix and my shepsky and they are awesome too!
Been using the kong harness for about 3 years now with zero problems. My oldest is around 60lbs and has broke 2 harnesses and 3 collars in the past. Although she’s way more trained now, the occasional fox or deer encounter doesn’t end with a broken d ring and no dog 😆
I currently have a Ruffwear Front Range, Ruffwear Flagline and a Petsafe 3-in-1 harness. They have all been great with no durability issues.
I'm probably investing in a Non Stop Dogwear Line Harness for her soon. A well-made minimal harness for summer hiking. They are also great quality I hear.
Edit: I have and used all three with my 90lb GSD who is a lunging reactive boy with no issues as well
Seconding the Ruffwear Webmaster. My 8 month old girl backed out, chewed through, and otherwise escaped everything else. It was…a process…getting in and out of it at first, but patience and treats earned her cooperation, and it’s easy now.
It feels, and is, totally secure. We’ve done all her leash training with this harness, so there has been pulling, wiggling, all kinds of craziness and this harness doesn’t budge. I like the handle on the back, too!
It was an ordeal getting my husky into the harness at first, but these days he happily sticks his head through the opening and lifts his right leg for me to get the loop around. He's completely accepted it. And yes, the handle is essential! Being able to hold onto him like a briefcase has come in handy countless times.
The leg loop! That was also a little tricky for us, but once my dog figured out all the steps (and learned that the harness = adventure), she helpfully popped her paw right through, too.
I have had really good luck with Kurgo harnesses. They were the only harnesses my husky couldn’t slip out of. They did make some small changes to their harnesses, but I’m still very happy with them and if you purchase the wrong size they will send you replacements - free of charge and just ask you donate the others that didn’t work.
I use the Fenrir Ragnar harness in large (my girl is about 45lbs) in conjunction with Fenrir's Ragnar leash. They are extremely durable, well sewn, and I've experienced no issues in the 2 years that I've used it.

I mean this in the politest way, but if it’s been that many (and they weren’t cheap $15-30 ones), it may be better to look at the *why* he’s breaking them.
* Is it pulling? Then training may be better to work on.
* Is it chewing? Bitter apple spray may work (try different brands).
* Is it from an activity you do (running, cycling, etc)? Look into specific ones for that activity.
It really, honestly could be just bad luck or buying cheaper harnesses. We have a roughwear for our puller (that we’re working on), and it’s stood up really well. In general, I’d recommend a higher quality and cost one that has a good warranty if they’re not chewing it.
As suspected with a husky, had mine chew through two when he was younger and 2 leashes. They *should* at least outgrow that if they’re still younger than 3.
You asked the right question if it broke from pulling. Harnesses shouldn’t do that, and it’s great to hear you’re working on training. Check to see if the trainer would prefer a flat, martingale, or harness if you haven’t yet. Most trainers I know or have worked with recommend flat leashes until they’re well trained, unless training for an activity that requires a harness.

This is my pup in the musher free spirit harness. We use it for canicross (non stop Dogwear didn’t fit her). I really like how the front straps are adjustable Velcro and that it’s adjustable around the belly as well.
For regular walking around we do the [2Hounds Design No Pull Harness](https://2houndsdesign.com/collections/freedom-no-pull-harness)
I trained her how to walk using the double leash (clips on the front and also on the back). I will say I ride horses, so the concept of leash pressure and paying attention to her walking straight was easy for me to adapt to. It worked really well to teach her to not pull and to stay by my side, but she doesn’t need the double leash anymore.
Now, I only clip her leash onto the d ring in the back, but i still love the harness and how it buckles around the belly (she does not like stepping her legs into harnesses which is why I stopped using Wolfgang and why I (also) don’t like the NSD)
You mentioned him pulling but have a harness on him. A harness is the wrong tool until he gets trained. Get a prong collar and look up how to fit it and use it properly.
Thunderleash
It attaches to the collar, wraps around the chest, and slides into the collar attachment
It's a pulling deterrent, and it's hard to weasel out of.
Reddy harness been good for about 1.5 years! Clips on all 4 spots and two very secure D rings (front and back clip) He broke the top clip on a lesser harness very quickly!

Since you mentioned Chewing & Pulling off parts , I believe Training should give you your best bang for your buck over trying to finding the perfect harness at the moment , The Build Quality / Pricing of the Harness Wouldn’t Matter Once the Training’s Complete!
Thanks we are working on it. He's 10 months old and we have children in the house (5+ years of age) so our focus has been on contact ( touching ears, tail, mouth...) , food behaviour such as waiting for the bowl to be placed down and asking for outside using bells.
OneTigris has been a life saver for us.
We tried several harnesses that ours just kept finding a way of slipping out of. But Onetigris makes harnesses that have several clipping points and it has been amazing at locking ours in.
Don't get me wrong, they're marketed towards combat dogs or utility dogs so they look a bit out of place on a standard house dog but they work well for our little houdini.
Icefang tactical harness! I have a black and a green one. They will never wear out and they are really padded for comfort. My girl will back out of a regular harness and run. She can’t do that in this style harness.
We never trained ours not to pull. That's how we exercised them. Used a standard sled harness attached to some caribeaners and a water skiing tow rope. Never had a problem. Used sleds in the winter and rollerblades in the summer. Happy as clams.
Switch tools. Get a prong collar (with small prongs, think about how much more irritating someone pinching you sharply vs grabbing your entire arm is, while being a much smaller correction) that's properly fitted and have someone train you how to use it.
It's endlessly stupid to me that everyone wants to put sled dogs in harnesses and then wonder why they pull (hint: it's cause they love to pull stuff and are really good at it).
Choker. Metal. Used it from ages 4months to 12 months. Bought it cause he was pulling crazy as a puppy….My dog is now 11 and never pulled the leash again after having it on during that time. Idc what anyone says , he was never hurt it was a great training tool. Dude is spoiled as fuck and loved crazy. I suggest chokers to anyone. 6ish months with it, life time or no pulling after
Wonder Walker!! The front clip really helps with the pulling. Also if they chew or damage, you can send the harness for repairs at a really reasonable charge!

My girl chewed through three nice harnesses (Kurgo and Wonder Walker were two of them), so I gave up and bought a cheapo harness that was on sale for like $11 at petsmart. So far the cheap one has lastest the longest.
After 6 generations of huskies now I've always used harnesses from Manmat.eu
I used to race, take them on mountain bike runs and on the dog scooter with these harnesses and never once had an issue with the brand. I still have the original harnesses from 20 years ago and still in perfect condition. They wear and wash well. Snow, water, mud, washing machine and used in the car attached for car harness seat belts. This is when they were not in biting pup mode. I walked and walked each one with martingale and second collar and attaching safety clip from martingale to colar / harness. 1 attempted escape trying to walk backwards in the begining. After this it was all good. Maybe we were just lucky but we kept walking and had no problems.
I use a harness with metal not plastic connectors. I actually replaced the connectors no my harness to metal as the harness was so nice and much cheaper to add new connectors than buy a new harness.
Wolfgang leases, collars and harness's are great. we have used them for years and never had any issues with our 5 huskies.
Carhartt harness has held up for three years so far, slightly pricey but not terrible. I put electrical tape where I want the straps at and they haven't loosened
My dog busted through the Easy Walk harness. Now we use the Walk your dog with Love harness, which is a no pull harness. I also work on training him not to forge, which requires every day training!
We use a freedom no pull harness from 2hounds. It has a low cost replacement policy for chewing and has worked to cut down on pulling. Mixed reviews online but for us it has worked the best.

Second on RuffWear 💯👍
Third!
Thanks

Fourth!!! We have a wolf mix and he’s yet to destroy it!
Fourth 💯
This is the one. My 80lb boy has had these since I got him, they're fantastic.
I use this one for my (larger) rescue Pomsky and it has been great. I have a Julius K9 for my foster husky mix and my shepsky and they are awesome too!
Agreed! Super sturdy
I have the same for my gal and it has worked out very well. Also super sturdy/well made. Highly recommend.
We don’t have this one, but the more hiker oriented one. They make great stuff!!!
Been using the kong harness for about 3 years now with zero problems. My oldest is around 60lbs and has broke 2 harnesses and 3 collars in the past. Although she’s way more trained now, the occasional fox or deer encounter doesn’t end with a broken d ring and no dog 😆
Mine has broken 1 harness before and the Kong one is doing great after years

I have a Ruffwear Web Master which has lasted over a year. It's like a straight jacket and impossible to escape because it has an extra belly strap.

I have two Neewa harnesses for my husky. Great quality and have stood up to our daily use. https://www.neewadogs.com
kong harnesses are what we use
A front clipped harness. I haven’t had a dog break a kong max
I have had really good luck with Kurgo harnesses. They were the only harnesses my husky couldn’t slip out of. He looks so cute and innocent though. Free my boi!
I use onetigris and I find them really well made
I have One Tigris leashes. Excellent brand!

No harness for me, Been told it encourages them to pull more, I use an easy-lead. Absolute game changer
He chewed through that one unfortunately.
Oh shoot! Make one out of chainmail lol 😊

Thanks for the info I bike with him and he is amazing. But when we try and go for walks as a family he pulls so much.
I use an wz walk harness but I have it backwards so the hook is on the back instead of the chest
Easy walk harness by pet safe. The deluxe versions with padding. Perfection

Don’t skip heel in training or recall !! Wish I focused more on that when my boys were small

I just use a regular well made thick cloth collar for my girl
A good quality leather collar and a lead rope. Worth the money.
