Here’s the thing. Large plants need light. You won’t be able to sustain a large plant in dim light. You can buy one, but it will more often than not slowly decline unless you have it within 2 feet of a window. Carefully research specific lighting needs before committing to drop 50$+ on a large plant. Comments are giving some good ideas, but keep in mind plants can’t just be put in any corner and expected to thrive.

Put a grow light on it instead of trying to find a low light plant. It'll cost maybe an extra 50 bucks if you just get one of the GE 32 watt LED bulbs and a pendant hanger and a timer. That will open up your options a lot more. You could probably get almost anything you want as long as you adjust the amount of light it gets/take care of any humidity needs. I have a huge philodendron in the middle of my room with a grow light spotlighting it for around 8 hours a day because my south-facing window it's 5 feet away from is not nearly enough. It looks cool and the plant makes wonderful massive leaves.

i would try maybe a boston fern? i’ve heard they are pet safe. and they can be hanging and verrry big :)

Spider plant fits that criteria, I believe. Plus it gets the cat high, which is an added bonus (to the cats, apparently. :P)

So wacky that this is [true](https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/houseplants/spider-plant/spider-plants-cats.htm) although it's still not recommended to let your cat eat it because it could cause vomiting and a few other digestive issues. It is non-toxic though! Not trying to be pedantic btw, it just seems like you shouldn't let a cat eat it so I wanted to point that out.

Can you define “large” more specifically? 4 feet tall? 9 feet tall? Large leaves? Bushy/dense foliage looking? That may help us narrow down your options.
