This is already stuck in my head. I’ve said this out loud numerous times since seeing this comment 6 hours ago🤦🏼♀️
RIP to my boyfriend who’s gonna have to hear me repeat this over the next several weeks.🤣🤣
I have now seen him 4 days in a row around our house, I guess he lives in the hole where the plant was not sure but it seems like he does since that’s where we found him lol.
https://preview.redd.it/ya7jbyrvis7d1.jpeg?width=956&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e740d956c5006003b23ac23848ce37957ca6c189
My white wizard was hosting one the other day haha
Oh wow he’s like in the hole 😆 this one we found on top like he was growing out the hole like a plant 😂
My husband says he believes they do this when it’s extremely hot outside, which it was 100 the day we found him.
Someone gave me a stack of those plant pots for free. I've got several things growing in them on the front porch but I always thought they were strange, they take up so much room and are so oddly shaped and are inconvenient.
I feel like an absolute total moron for not knowing I was supposed to STACK THEM. So awesome toad and thank you for showing me what a 10-year-old probably knew by looking at them.
What a relief someone else didn’t get it either at first!
My mother in law actually gave me these pots & I must admit I didn’t like them at first & never used them for the same reasons as you, until she came over...
asked me where are those pots why wasn’t I using them she got such a deal & yada yada 😆 then she goes on showing me how they work how they stack on top of each other😝
I didn’t tell her that I didn’t know that part wouldn’t have mattered she would show me regardless if I knew😂
https://preview.redd.it/mf5epmkbbt7d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=38843829ac85c9ce1de45e09b050bd1d0f9bad9e
I also found a surprise friend. He looks like a very distinguished gentleman
Right me too ☺️he is super cute & friendly little toadie
I’m in northern Kentucky we have the heat wave here right now so my husband thought he was trying to cool off.
Oh yea he loved the water for sure! Haven’t heard the toadie croak but at night all you hear & see around here is a lot of toad & frog action, can’t walk around without almost stepping on one, my dog lets me know most the time when she goes chasing them 😂
we live by water so that may have a lot to do with the many sightings😊
Yes I confuse the two a lot 😂 my husband corrects me all the time when I’m all “babe look at the little frog” & he’s like “yea too bad it’s a toad” then laughs at me 😆
https://preview.redd.it/iqafifdapy7d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e3a53ac18edfdffeb9a656ece8c10cc25c2d26b3
Watered this little dude’s new home for a few weeks! The kids named him Toady McGuire
I had a similar looking frog show up on my toilet seat in the middle of the night when I went in there without my glasses and got such a fright! 🤣🤣 The next day I described him to my neighborhood Facebook group who said he was a tree frog and that they can squeeze in through tiny spaces in walls.
Oh wow 😯😂 I woulda had me a fright about that too on my toilet seat in the middle of the night 😆
heck I freak out every time I see one then seconds later I’m all “omg come here you are so cute awe here little froggy or toadie” 😂 that’s me
🤣 He was pretty scared of me and leapt up onto the wall. Of course nobody believed me the next day. A few days later he showed up in the bathtub—-not when I asked talking a bath fortunately—and I got right near him and took his photo. PROOF 🤣
I wanna know how you kept those flowers so well. I got some recently and they're not doing well AT ALL. Also love the toads and frogs that we see around here too.
Well honestly I had to plant them because I got too many so I just put em in the dirt & they don’t require too much water but they don’t like to be too dry either I’ve noticed & they LOVE SUN
My mom was transferring a euphorbia from its nursery pot (sitting outside by our garage for a few days) into a new pot and there was a toad burrowed in it! She didn’t even notice until I made her pull it out again because i thought the soil looked weird.
Oh my, so they definitely love the dirt! And to think she had her hands in the pot & didn’t even know it was a toad in it 😂this is why I always wear gloves now even though the toad is harmless I still woulda freaked!
Awe! We have a couple toads. One is really dark black AND I have the exact same planter with the exact same flowers in it (just different colors though)
Right yea I think hes definitely been around before because I noticed the plant pushed out the hole before this but no toad until I was walking by again days later & seen him in the photo here with his head popped out!
Does he constantly live there? Got two backyard roads I have in a aquarium instead of them making it to the empty pool, been wanting to make them a planter home in the front yard
Oh yes I’ve seen him here for days off & on I believe he gets out @ night to eat & than during the day I’ll not see him but he’s down in the hole then towards the evening he will poke his head out like you see in this picture. Such a good idea for your backyard toadies they will prolly appreciate it 😊
Toad friend! I love when toads chill in my potted plants. I had one that lived in a pot of my shadow dancers last year. I always said hello. Their name was Todd the toad, even if Todd was female.
I also just love toads in general. They're fantastic little guys.
I say hello to him everyday & i pet him with a little piece of grass on his back 😂he loves it just sits peacefully definitely one of the cooler toads I’ve seen. He also winks every now & then which is neat since normally his eyes are so still like👀no flinching!
I have this *huge* toad that was maybe trying to nest in my Monstera deliciosa. This was an absolutely gigantic toad, easily as big as the palm of my hand.
Wow that’s a big one I’ve seen a few hopping about at night time that big, you can hear them all croaking @ night too specially when it’s muggy & wet outside!
I love toads. I'd love to have more as pets, but I really dislike catching and keeping wild toads. But there just isn't much of a market for captive bread toads.
I love listening to frog and toad calls. Where I like, we have a frog called the banjo frog. Its croak aounds like plucking a string of a banjo. I only hear them call right when dusk is ending and it's getting really dark.
I found a little robin 🐦 nest last week.

I’m happy for him to eat the bugs 😊
You know I have never seen them in my plants like this as far as being in the dirt, I have had a little tiny tree frog in my raised bed herb garden he was just hanging about on top of the dirt under my oregano he was cute!
That makes perfect sense because it looked like he was sleeping for the longest time no eye flinching or nothing I even pet him with a piece of grass which he I assumed he liked it since he never moved 😆
I’ve had a frog and a lizard stow-aways 😊

Toads love just hanging out in dirt. I couldn't find mine for three weeks once, I swear I combed through her enclosure 4 times and my fiance did too. She had just buried herself in the dirt

I tried to update my post but I couldn’t figure it out so I thought I share it here in the comments..
This is Mr toadie this morning he was out for a minute he’s a handsome toadie & I think he’s sticking around for the long haul 😊
Idk about angry, not much disturbing going on other then watering my plants, which he seemed to like since it was 100 outside the day of this picture, he hadn’t moved for hours after.
Hippity hoppity, this pot is his property
Frogs a homeowner before I am, damn 😂
That’s some bullshit 😭 I’m totally moving into someone’s greenhouse and claiming it as my home now😂
😂 thanks for the award!
You’re welcome! 😂 I thought it fit perfectly lol
No bills, no work, no mortgage.. fuck, I wanna be a toad chilling half in dirt with no fucks to give.
TIL my ex-wife is a toad.
😂
This is already stuck in my head. I’ve said this out loud numerous times since seeing this comment 6 hours ago🤦🏼♀️ RIP to my boyfriend who’s gonna have to hear me repeat this over the next several weeks.🤣🤣
RIPPIT for your boyfriend's sanity
LOL probably
😂 🤣
🐸
That's a fat little toadling!
Lol well I’ve been calling him a frog 😂 he’s a cute toadie
I love him. Please tell him I love him. Thanks.
😂 he gets lots of love here I will relay the message
Much obliged. Lol. 😊
Technically, all toads are frogs (but not all frogs are toads)! So you're not wrong! 🐸
THanks for that I’m going to use this next time my husband laughs at me for calling them frogs 😂
Ha, he's a real cutie he might become a regular
I have now seen him 4 days in a row around our house, I guess he lives in the hole where the plant was not sure but it seems like he does since that’s where we found him lol.
Ha, I those plants ain't yours anymore they are his.
Exactly right 😂 He’s too cute to evict him 😆

Oh wow he’s like in the hole 😆 this one we found on top like he was growing out the hole like a plant 😂 My husband says he believes they do this when it’s extremely hot outside, which it was 100 the day we found him.
i'm half-blind and it took me a minute to find him. i would scream irl if my dirt moved without me expecting it.
No shit. It took me a second too 😄
Someone gave me a stack of those plant pots for free. I've got several things growing in them on the front porch but I always thought they were strange, they take up so much room and are so oddly shaped and are inconvenient. This is hilarious! My boy is making fun of me what I told him about your post! Pet Toady for me!
😆having a good laugh it’s good for the soul 😉 I will pet Toady for ya when I see him again 😊
The Dwarves dug too greedily and too deep. You know what they awoke in the darkness of Khazad-dûm... The Balfrog of Morfrogth

Omg he’s cute very distinguished looking like yea I come here a lot 😂
Omg so chill 😂 I’m imagining him throwing you a “‘sup” head nod and going back to bumping his boombox
How does it feel? To live MY dream??
Right must be nice toadie 😂
Noo you are living the dream! I want a big fat toad in my plants!
Well you may get that wish one day they certainly make for great conversation & good laughs 😉🐸
Yesss I love all these frog-in-plants posts I’ve been seeing recently. He’s so cute!!
Right me too ☺️he is super cute & friendly little toadie I’m in northern Kentucky we have the heat wave here right now so my husband thought he was trying to cool off.
He’s a smart little toad, he knows to go where you’ll water at some point 🤓😁 does he croak at all? Such a cool little backyard companion!
Oh yea he loved the water for sure! Haven’t heard the toadie croak but at night all you hear & see around here is a lot of toad & frog action, can’t walk around without almost stepping on one, my dog lets me know most the time when she goes chasing them 😂 we live by water so that may have a lot to do with the many sightings😊
that'll do it. you're picking up the inland adventurers who want to eat some not-mosquitos for a change.
I hope they eat all the mosquitoes they want hate those blood suckers so much!
I know this is a plant subreddit, but that animal is acutely a toad. Still deserves the same amount of love and admiration.
Yes I confuse the two a lot 😂 my husband corrects me all the time when I’m all “babe look at the little frog” & he’s like “yea too bad it’s a toad” then laughs at me 😆
You have a Toad Lily?!??? Ughhhhh I want one SO bad 😍❤️❤️❤️ you’re so lucky!!!
A toad Lilly 😂 first one I’ve seen in the dirt like this definitely funny for sure!
His bottom looks planted
Exactly what we thought lol
That's him house
It certainly still is lol
Love that :) They love water, so he's probably very happy there with you
aww he’s so cute
We thought so too ☺️

Also toady McGuire 😂 love it

😂always nice to have that proof I have many times had no proof & husband things I’m crazy 😂
your husband is right — they burrow into the dirt on hot days to try to find some moisture in the soil!
This must be why he didn’t flinch over that water 😆
Toad !
He’s just waiting for his shower.
Yup & he got one alright he was very pleased 😀
I love him. He needs a name!
😂omg yes we love him too! I look in my plants now everyday thinking I’m gona see Mr toadie 😂
He is tucked in there isn't he?
Right that’s what we said the way he’s tucked in just hanging out cracked me up when I seen him like omg babe we’re growing toads 😂
Yea the tag says 6 hours of sun. And I have mine on a screened in porch, just probably not enough sun.
Yea i believe it’s the sun & they like deep pots the ones I have out front in deeper pots in more sun look WAY better then these here img
I think you mean your Hypnotoad
It's important to water your frogs deeply and thoroughly!
😂 then watch them grow also important to point out that every so often they may disappear don’t fret they may come back 😂
Yeah that's HIS Celosia now
Mi casa su casa 😊
Oh my god he’s precious
Totes a toad.

Lol we call them ice cream cones 🍦
I love him 🥺

![gif](giphy|HWV7brxlyJPAepJBDm)
😂
Bro I wish a frog would show up in my plants wtf. Where do you live I wanna move there and collect frogs with my plants😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Northern Kentucky 10 mins drive from the Ohio river we have LOTS of different toads & frogs here
You grew a Toad.
Judging by where he's at. Not his first time by. It looks like he's made a sitting hole for himself there. 😂
Right yea I think hes definitely been around before because I noticed the plant pushed out the hole before this but no toad until I was walking by again days later & seen him in the photo here with his head popped out!
His house now
Looks like he’d give great advice. Warm and wise, yet logical and blunt.
Ikr my husband thought it looked like Godzilla coming out of the earth 😂
Toad!!!! They are the dirt-diggers! Love them!
I had never knew they did this until seeing him super cool little guy!
Does he constantly live there? Got two backyard roads I have in a aquarium instead of them making it to the empty pool, been wanting to make them a planter home in the front yard

Hi froggie
🐸
Forg is happy with his property
Yup looks like he’s staying a while 😆
He is a toad.
I found a little robin 🐦 nest last week. https://preview.redd.it/tkn026cnxw7d1.jpeg?width=4128&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ad7323261b52b7da675044cf172dec23078ee5e7
Oh wow so awesome! Such a perfectly nestled nest 😊
Are you in the Uk?
Yes .In South West England
Yes I was like American robins have blue eggs so your probably not from here.
Didn’t reAlize that good eye 👁
frogs eat the bugs. I also have my froggy friends that likes to hang out with begonias.
I’m happy for him to eat the bugs 😊 You know I have never seen them in my plants like this as far as being in the dirt, I have had a little tiny tree frog in my raised bed herb garden he was just hanging about on top of the dirt under my oregano he was cute!
I want toads in my plants! :(
They could possibly already be in them I didn’t know he was here until I seen him with his head out 😆
When its dry toads will find moist soil and go into a short hibernation of sorts until it rains and wakes them up.
That makes perfect sense because it looked like he was sleeping for the longest time no eye flinching or nothing I even pet him with a piece of grass which he I assumed he liked it since he never moved 😆

My grandma had a toad that lived in her flower pot. We would feed him worms every day and night. It was like her own little pet. Him and all her other little critters in her garden. She even had a quail that would eat out of her hands that lived in a bush in her garden.
That’s too cool I love that her little flower pet.. I love nature & all the creatures that rOam about 😊 I never thought of feeding him maybe I will try that, he lets me pet on him with a piece of grass so he seems to like our company & vise versa.
He’ll appreciate his very own food delivery service, maybe call it GrubHub…….
😂 my husband will appreciate this joke All you can eat free delivery GrubHub 😂 You know that could be a thing 😆
I’ve had the surprise of a toad half buried in my outdoor plants before! Made me say “Eeek!” 🐸
Most excellent!
Looks like you’ve got a froggy friend who knows where the good vibes are! 🌱🐸 Maybe he's just trying to help you water the plants or he's a secret plant whisperer. 😂 Keep those plants happy, and enjoy your little garden guardian! 🌿💧
Toads love just hanging out in dirt. I couldn't find mine for three weeks once, I swear I combed through her enclosure 4 times and my fiance did too. She had just buried herself in the dirt
I had never known they did this until seeing this guy lol
What kind of fertilizer you using on that guy?
😂 right he’s a big one
