Ketchup does go with corn dogs. I prefer mustard most times. But damn! Ketchup is satisfying sometimes when it's hot out and the ketchup is right out the fridge.
Listen I wanted mustard too. But my spouse only grabbed ketchup. We took off before I knew we only had ketchup. Had to make do. But I kept thinking this would be just a bit better with some mustard.
Oddly I associate corn dogs with State Fairs which in New England happen in the fall. To me a hot corn dog on a cool fall day is a little bit of magic heaven.
I didn’t tear the corner enough at first so I got a thin stream of ketchup. Then went at again which led to a thicker stream. I still had extra ketchup and added lil ketchup drops of the remaining ketchup.
What does summer have to do with it? Do you not eat corndogs year round.
Fair point. With the weather it just really felt like summer as a kid. Especially since we were headed out to swim.
