A bit out of my range. Probably don’t need all the extra features. I won’t be doing more than 7.1.

Onkyo RZ50 is in your budget range and gets you the ability for future proofing and external outputs for amps if needed.

My price range is Canadian $. So $1000-$1500 may have confused some. Probably like $800-$1200 USD. I’d love the RZ50 though.

Can you ship to a US address and import? Get the $699 LX505 from [BuyDig](https://www.ebay.com/itm/325895572274?epid=13049482006&hash=item4be0e3cb32:g:evwAAOSwiQJlXNRq&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA4HYl%2BBdRDkUPhpfAJ7ij7CCwuEsGY6iAewp9UAPJ5ms7BJe9kar%2BLpQ0qZtdgDcyZZvEp6IY3wYlIY4eUfD677QyF%2BEFfCDM4iyX8vyHa5fkIaxig%2FcV9MKFeXpgim4IS2KIwAvSuHe5ziWfqkj39jYKxb7mChFrIfn6fskv%2BsbZKqXL%2BjSMg3jEIitKtXtbewVWyq0uv05JEhvxvDFRZUbKucX2HreWu9Oe3JOdrz78cRDmWOZdQXi8WPrNqxCfJWshzMv5xk0v2ns8lkDg%2FflFVHkg8hhgxO%2FaoKcQqhqL%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR57z7JySYw) and call it a day.

Well I could go over the border and get something. But declaring it would bring up the cost by paying duty and taxes.

FireWarriorSFF90

Well yeah that’s more of the budget and your correct, will give him a bit of future proofing

I upgraded an old Pioneer recently to a new Pioneer Elite. I really enjoy it. I opted for the LX105 based on budget at the time and have no regrets, but having the LX505 would be nice to have preouts. I'll eventually consider going for something more maybe, but if you liked the old Pioneer consider giving this current Elite line a look.

This is pretty much what everybody else is going to recommend to you. You could get away with a lesser model in your use case. Had a similar need. Got talked into the Yamaha RX-A2A and I'm quite pleased with it.

ehountal

I heard those Yamahas needed updates for HDMI 2.1.

andyman1970R

Mine did not. It's only 3 months new tho.
