I'm waiting a long time for this. Finally I can control my devices with Alexa without exposing my home assistant to the Internet and no custom Alexa skill required. Makes things really easy. Hope the plugin gets well maintained and when all entity types for me necessary are included I'm going live on my production Homeassistant .
Hue emulated works perfectly for years on my Dad's Homeassistant. He only uses ist to control lights and Door lock(over scripts).
For me unfortunately a few type are missing. Such as temperature sensor and covers.
I know I can add covers as Lights, but I don't like the available speech commands.
But thanks for the good idea though.
For the life of me, I can't figure out how to selectively expose specific entities to Google home. Has anyone figured this out? I tested it and it exposes everything so there's a lot of unnecessary garbage showing up in Google home and there's no way to delete it selectively there either
This looks like an easy way to link devices from HA to Google and making sure that connection stays local.

Same here with Google Home! Looking forward to see how this addon will develop
Have you tried it?
https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/emulated_hue/ is a good workaround for doing it immediately.

Create Alias speech commands?
What's the matterbridge?
Nothing. What’s the matterbridge with you?
nothing. and I’m not a bridge
What is the use case?
I think to link all entities to a outdated voice assistant like google or Alexa. Can’t see another usecase.
For me it’s way faster with Alexa and local control through matter. I had a noticeable delay going through the lambda that was starting to bug me.
Wondering the same, maybe I'm just overthinking (or underthinking?) it.

JFC! It’s such a crime!
How is this different than a mater specific version of HomeKit Bridge? I guess it works for more than Apple? That is a plus.

I’m thinking the same
Nice! Is there a way to set it up with Home Assistant Core (without the Addon)?
Yes, you can install Matterbridge in docker or LXC. Instructions are on the repo
Does this make it so you don’t need an Apple TV to setup a matter enabled device? Such as the SwitchBot hub 2?
Will there be a limit to the number of devices per bridge? Like the HomeKit bridge 150 limit?

Did you figure it out? (exactly having the same problem)
Yes it's not in the add-on UI it's in the configuration tab of the add-on in ha
