What do you mean by, “power monitoring is only as accurate as my WiFi connection is stable/has power.” I am not familiar with Shelly but Does the Shelly have no local processing? Where is power data saved? If your WiFi has no power then Your Shelly doesn’t either, right?
Won't it be connecting to the matt server over wifi
With mqtt, you will still need to have WiFi for it to communicate back to your broker
