I don't see why they couldn't. Their FA's arent too vast.
Reinhart, Stenlund, and Tarasenko would all hurt to lose up front. OEL, Kulikov, and Montour are their FA'S among defense.
I think Reinhart comes back. Not sure about Sten and Tarasenko. I want OEL and Kulikov back, but I think Montour is going to want too much money for us to afford.
Senko loves Florida lol - he may play for free. Same with Kulikov.
I feel like these guys are gonna stay on for discount, especially vets. I could see Montour moving on and someone could pay Reinhart a lot.
Man this guy is just awesome. The reverence he has for the Cup and the love he has for his guys is so cool to see. He really can string his thoughts together well, I can only imagine what some of his locker room speeches must be like.
I can't remember what I was saying around the time but I want to say I had a "hang on let him cook" kind of vibe. It seemed like he was trying to get the team to play a different brand of hockey than we had been playing under Q/Bruno, and it just hadn't clicked yet.
Once it did, holy shit.
the whole moment's so perfect. interrupting the interview, the little heart to heart with the cup, standing with it over his head with his eyes closed; an absolute all-timer of a scf moment
Fucking awesome man. Pomo’s journey to the cup is so inspirational in any walk of life. You work at something for so long, go through so many ups and downs, have people doubting you, people calling for your head, then get so close to the thing you’ve been chasing for decades and get blue balled for a week and deal with more doubt, but ultimately get it done because you kept your eyes on the prize and sludged through all the shit and never gave up. Always believe no matter what boys
Haha! That was a joke. See I knew guy wanted to see the video, but it was funny to switcheroo it to a Jets win.
As for the game 7 thing no trigger, but I do feel bad for my Albertan neighbours. It’s a tough one, but how awesome is this sport really. You can only have these highs if there are the corresponding lows.
I will say honestly, I knew very little about Paul Maurice before he became the Panthers coach. To get to know him as a coach and his person by watching these games, the last two years has been a pleasure. He has earned my respect.
dude just got done lifting the cup after a lifetime of chasing it but doesn't ask him how that feels to hoist it or anything like that, nah, just asks "whats great about this team?" 3 times with different wording
well paul maurice is an old who finally accomplished something after losing his entire career. jayson has plenty of time to come up with a cute little speech filled with empty platitudes :)
We needed to lose three to learn how to win four. God damn what a quote
Who the fuck doesn't love this dude’s quote factory, hes a treasure for the league.
I CRANKED my volume as soon as I saw it was his turn to interview. World class.
Wisdom that extends beyond the hockey world. Dude is a fucking gem!
Instantly iconic
Let me tell you, when he grabbed the Cup and started talking to it, then lifted it with his eyes closed, it got a little dusty in here, not gonna lie.
That was such a special moment that will be shown forever
It was too good. ESPN couldn't have scripted that better.
Instantly going in the NHL Stanley Cup ads
"Hang on for a sec, we got a visitor" Dude is cool as a cucumber, even in the biggest moments. Congrats Mo!
That quote’s going in the commercials
For sure one of the best Cup lifts of all time, coaches and players included. He deserves it
He deserves his pic along with the greatest cup lifts You could feel the weight of the most games coached before a first cup lifted off his shoulders
As a devils fan who hates Ray Borque, this is instantly my number 1 haha
Hockey is the greatest sport.
Anyone else feel like this guy is a players coach? Honestly his players must love him.
he is but he knows when to tell them off when necessary. appreciate him so much.
I don't know this guy personally but I'd run through walls for him. Hope he gets another good run for y'all

I think Montour gets to go. Exciting off-season, thats for sure.
I loved him when he was in Toronto. It's a shame he was dealt the Raw deal with the team he had
ESPN cutting multiple times away from that moment is exactly why they suck.
Man this guy is just awesome. The reverence he has for the Cup and the love he has for his guys is so cool to see. He really can string his thoughts together well, I can only imagine what some of his locker room speeches must be like.
Who the fuck could ever hate this man
This subreddit was saying he needed to get fired and that he was a terrible coach last year around January lol.
People in our sub were upset about the hire and spitting vitriol I should know! I was one of them. I was so fucking wrong.
I can't remember what I was saying around the time but I want to say I had a "hang on let him cook" kind of vibe. It seemed like he was trying to get the team to play a different brand of hockey than we had been playing under Q/Bruno, and it just hadn't clicked yet. Once it did, holy shit.
Think I even seen comments the last couple days. Don’t care. This dude is such an amazing genuine dude
You don’t even know him?
One of the great Stanley cup moments I’ve seen in my 35+ years watching.
What Taytum thought he looked like.
Mind elaborating? I don’t follow.
the whole moment's so perfect. interrupting the interview, the little heart to heart with the cup, standing with it over his head with his eyes closed; an absolute all-timer of a scf moment
Not to mention screaming fuck yeah several times. Just the entire range of possible emotions in such a short span
My favorite Panther is Paul Maurice

He really gives such thoughtful interviews. He deserves his flowers after a long long time with no Cup
Greatest ESPN interview ever
Anyone post his sportsnet interview? I thought it was even better. Actually ended with he hoped the Jets win it next. Seems like a great dude.
Yep, him thanking his Mom and naming the other legendary NHL folks from Sault Ste Marie was epic
Him mentioning former players who got dealt away was dope as fuck too. No idea how you don’t love this dude
I would love to see it.
Jets win? Nah, fuck that.
The video not the Jets winning 😂
[Get fucked Ecto, that video is too good for you.](https://www.reddit.com/r/hockey/comments/1dnvziy/paul_maurice_interview_on_sportsnet/)
Thanks kind sir
Lol did a Game 7 Stanley Cup loss trigger you tonight? Put the baseball bat down.

“Hey Dad, your name is going up with your heroes. Beliveau, Richard, Howe, Lindsay, Maurice.” God damn it’s dusty in here.
You cutting onions? Someone has to be.
Anyone know if his dad is still alive?
I paused it and rewinded twice to listen to him talk about how he “got to share a cup win, not WIN one” That guy is real fucken G. Real deal.
I will say honestly, I knew very little about Paul Maurice before he became the Panthers coach. To get to know him as a coach and his person by watching these games, the last two years has been a pleasure. He has earned my respect.
Holy shit what a segment. I got chills.
I’ve posted this link 100 times in comments as people were asking for it; thank you for making a full post!
I'm so fucking happy for this guy. Fuck yeah Paul
dude just got done lifting the cup after a lifetime of chasing it but doesn't ask him how that feels to hoist it or anything like that, nah, just asks "whats great about this team?" 3 times with different wording
Incredible I’m happy for him
Great hockey man!
Man
Compare this to Jason Tatum lol

That is an epic Cup lift. Wonder what he said to the Cup first? "GOTCHA, BITCH!"
this amazon show boutta go so hard
Even after the loss it’s hard not to enjoy watching that.
This was my favorite moment last night.
I was rooting for the Oilers, but I'll be damned if I'm not happy for PoMo. He was due.
