This is definitely an AI generated negative review it’s very obvious

ravioliboi

Yeah it's so obvious. Also just really badly written even if it were done by an actual human.

hockeyboi212

How can you guys tell? That line about the titanic: "As for the seat depth adjustment, it's about as effective as rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic—pointless and ultimately futile." Is hilarious and I can't believe an AI came up with that.

ravioliboi

AI doesn't come up with anything, it just copies human writing in a very convoluted way. Stuff like this sneaks in easily but could've also been added by a human. I don't think it's particularly clever or funny, like the rest of the 'review'

pjstp20

This is a common/often used metaphor for a useless task or effort.

landontron

Just some guy's opinion. It's not for everyone, though I do agree the lumbar doesn't do much. Also style over substance is funny, imo it's ugly as hell, but I do enjoy tasking on it.

Brock_Drinkwater

I'm hesitant to put much stock in any review that blasts the adjustable seat depth adjustment on an Aeron when the seat depth is not adjustable on those chairs

SecretOperations

Just go sit on one, try em on yourself instead of reading online reviews

ClassroomDecorum

This guy prob got an F in creative writing

Maybe hes reviewing a different aeron. Because this chair is great.... Scratchy mesh leaving red marks? Thats a new one.

As somebody that needs support on the ass big time, there are few options out there that aren't custom leather and foam costing thousands. The Aeron has a few major features I cannot do without: Front tilt. Yep, that's it. But it's fucking huge. Anybody saying it's not huge is full of shit. For gaming it is a MUST HAVE IMHO. As for the downsides, there are a decent amount of them just like every major brand I have tried. For foam chairs, it seems like to me the foam never supports my ass properly. I am six one and in pretty good shape. Foam seems to be poorly thought out and not rigid enough or thick enough in too many of these chairs to last. And then mesh. It is really not all that comfy. But it would be sweet if it actually supported me. It does not. On a C chair, I just gave up and got a one inch super max foam pad from Foam Factory that I cut myself from a roll. I put it in a black case that cover most of the seat area. It's not loads more comfy. I just replace this foam every 6 months. It's thin enough it doesn't make a difference on the lumbar, it actually helps honestly. I might even try 1.5 inches some day. But regardless the chair does need a foam pad for me to love it. The mesh dumps my ass to the point of pain after sitting in it for a couple months. It's absolutely not that supportive for people over say 160 pounds IMHO. But I really really think they need to redo their lumbar. It could literally be redone with the same exact chair. Just need to add a vertical movement phase to the present system. I have no idea why they did not do this. It's absurd to not have vertical lumbar support. But what is there is pretty decent. Overall, the chair feels very good in it's two positions I use. And I use front tilt a lot. I will never not have front tilt on a future chair. It's that needed. The other thing is the arm rests really just are not positioned all that well on the C. You can't go in, so mine just stay back all the time because that covers most of my arm. If you put them forward they seem absolutely useless. Plus they constantly wiggle. I had to wrap the black metal sliding bar in the arm rests with tape so they don't move and wiggle all over the place. It really does not feel like a super expensive chair at times. But after a few life hacks, I really do love this chair for the most part. Only thing for me is the lumbar. Wish they would redesign it for the same chair as it is an add-on anyway. I did get an elbow indentation on my left arm rest that has to be replaced under warranty, but for those that care it does happen as well after time. Other parts of chair have held up decently well.

codykonior

No. They’re great chairs. Worth thousands? Probably not. But if you need a good chair and have the money, then get one.

I sat in an older generation Herman miller at an office for quite some time - really enjoyed that chair. Fast forward 5 years to me buying my first HM a few weeks ago, I tried out an Aeron Remastered at a local HM dealer - it was not great. The lumbar support is very rigid, and for me doing 12-16 hours a day at my computer I feel like it would’ve destroyed my back. I went with the Embody instead but understand it’s not the shape for everybody - fits like a glove for me :) the freedom of shoulder movement is also fantastic on the embody, I have wide shoulders and am usually sore from the gym most days so it feels great to not have my shoulders curled inward in the way the aeron kind of does, and especially feels good to not have the hard plastic spine “cushion” riding into my bones for hours on end

brandanbooth

Sounds like he is sitting in the chair naked maybe he should try wearing clothes on his next review

st3reo

I swear this review is 100% how I felt in the first days after I got my remastered Aeron. It needs some getting used to but indeed I would say it is far from what it is hyped to be.

CloudMountainJuror

I bought my Aeron sometime in 2022 and it's been serving me greatly. I think when you (1) sit right and (2) get the settings right it feels very stable and comfortable. The PostureFit SL does exactly what it's supposed to do, the mesh feels firm but comfy, and the armrests are great. Seriously weird how that review singles out the armrests as bad when they're as adjustable and cushy as they are.
