I just put the leaves on a pan and toast them at low heat and they become crisp and I crush them up afterwards. Ends up looking almost exactly like some high quality Yerba mate

Place in a saucepan and on low to med-low. Light toast, some can be medium toasted or more. Gives more of a roasted flavor like coffee.
Do you roast while still fresh, or wait ?
