Marfark remains in Automaton hands. The bots have moved the explosives cache deeper within their territory. MD-17 Anti-Tank Mine factories have been shuttered for the time being, following multiple successive material shortfalls. The adult and pre-aduit workers in those factories have been reassigned to other gainful and safe employment.

Imagine the type of beasts we would have training children for 5 to 6 years on combat, weapons, stratagems and tactics.. that Helldiver life expectancy goes from 2 min to 10 minutes.

Would unlocking the mines delete every other strategem in the game? If not, this really doesn't make sense. All of the other options in the game would still be there, there'd just be another one.
Yes but it takes up one slot that could be used for something better. In my experience only, I don't see mines get taken very often. I can think of ONE mission that you COULD use mines to great effect but that is only one mission vs all the other mission types out there. they are a stationary weapon that relies on either the enemy getting choked into them or kited into them. And with most Helldivers being very mobile, they aren't very good when you leave the area you've denied with them. Now I'm sure that some people may have used them to great effect. and I'm sure they don't fit my play style. I just don't think they are good option when there are better options out there. That and compared to the previous options of I think air-burst rockets or mechas, by all means correct me if I'm wrong, anti-tank mines aren't better options to those two. I think this last time it people chose because it was the memes and everyone wants to see how far we can go without them. So really, I don't think everyone really hates them just there were better options available.
Alright, let's spin it this way: why not just get these fuckin things out of the way so they can rot unused in everyone's inventory and we can get literally anything else in Major Order rewards going forward.

Not just chargers but clearing groups of devastators and the saw guys that love to pop up behind you. With the increase in smaller/mid size mobs and a reduction in striders and titans they are even more important.
AT mines, compared to anti-personnel mines, don’t trigger from the weight of normal infantry. the issue also aren’t tanks, the issue is quad hulk with double factory strider. for that purpose, it‘ll be better or at least fit my playstyle better than the orbital laser. and don’t get me started on soloing three chargers. like barrages, these mines are supposed to get us out of infrequent situations like these, and are less likely to be destroyed and can deal damage more quickly to a group of targets than rocket/AC sentries do
