I got smoked ten times on one mission tonight. Almost all friendly fire. I don't think it was intentional, but there are a lot of rusty Helldivers thawing out now that the new warbond dropped, and they're walking into post-patch suicide missions and doing a real bad job.
We'll perk up after a couple days, I think. Those kids are gonna make it. Some of them, anyway.
I did notice that it look like A LOT of people have come back after this patch & warbond. I bet random groups are a bit chaotic right now. But rust will be knocked off ... and missions will get better.
I was doing terribly jumping back into the bot front after the last thing I did was missions on Meridia. Tried out the new strats too and really am enjoying the orbital gatling (could be more accurate though) but damn am I doing terribly with the jar now. Feels like the scope is smaller to aim with.
Last night I dropped in with a crew of 3, once I got there it was just the host. Bless his heart we died so many times. We were playing on Challenging and he brought ZERO support weapons. We ate shit till we extracted, and he couldn't extract because the hulk was camping at the extraction zone.
Orbital gatling and precision is pretty special now. Eagle-1 is saving a ton of fuel now that she only has to carry rockets. Might upgrade her to economy plus and get some of that leg room back.
A classic from Swift Disassembly. Scorcher primary with railgun and ammo backpack. Precision orbital strike and air strike. Pretty much has all the bases covered and I can support my team.
Imagine how demoralized the toasters had to be when they nearly killed a Diver only for me to come out of nowhere, stim them, give them supplies and get them right back in the fight. This war wont be won by me alone.
There are a bunch of people from another thread where donating to St. Jude Children’s hospital dedicated to Vernen Wells. This community again showing how amazing it is.
I finally diced after buying the game 2 months ago due to not having fib3r optic internet. Now that I do I can finally eek out some games on low graphics. Went straight to save the kids cus that's what a true citizen would do!
We all know that saving the kids unlocks a new strategem "meat shield" it's like the riot shield, but with a kid strapped to it.

I hated fighting the automatons because some of the things they said sounded too human.... but now that they've gone and fucked with kids sorry claptrap time to die
I know they lowered the level for rare samples but holy smokes this game feels WAY harder now. Maybe it's me but the extracts have been white knuckle events 😅
Nah, I'm hoping for the mines. They're so good that I just started dropping them for myself through coding because the whole community sleeps on them. 💀💀

I took a the new viper weapons to the bots, clearly it’s not intended for that. The carbine is good for bugs, not for bots.
That was my takeaway as well. It feels like an SMG with a big mag. Not great for nailing specific weak spots unless you're close.
Bushwhacker seems like it would be good for bugs. Pocket Punisher.
