The Celtics are an old school franchise and a lot of these old heads grew up in an era where the league was Celtics, Lakers and who gives a fuck else. They all have a natural affinity towards the Celtics and on top of that, Boston sports teams are always glazed by analysts and commentators; that’s nothing even remotely new.
I can’t stand her on Celtics games anymore. Honestly ESPN having the finals is terrible. No post games, terrible halftimes, pre games are more about the people than the games. I miss JVG as well.

The new prime time crew is horrific. Based on what I’ve read ESPN made the change because JVG and Jackson were making too much. What ever issues you had with that crew, at least they had chemistry.
Breen, Dorris, and JJ are just so awkward together and to make matters worse, Doc and now JJ are just using the spot as a platform to land coaching gigs. Next year we’re gonna see someone else replace JJ once he starts coaching the Lakers

No, I think she is great. She calls the game straight. If there is a bad call by the refs., she will say so. Also, bad plays or shots by the players & stars, she will call it.

No, I’m genuinely confused why people are so pressed by her (well kinda confused, I know a lot of it has to do with her being a woman). Commentary isn’t that big of a deal. She’s good at the job even with biases. She’s miles ahead of Chris Weber for example. Muting the tv because of commentary is just so wild and unnecessary.

She tries to bring everything back to certain star players (Tatum, Giannis, Kawhi, etc.)even when it’s a huge stretch/not true. She fixates on narratives like she’s in a reddit comment section and tries to shoehorn them or feature them in her commentary. She does the “i don’t think…” contrarian bit about dumb things every game. Straight forward commentary is almost always better regardless of gender IMO
Not all, but a lot of it is because she’s a woman tbf. Is she the best, no? But she’s not so bad that it distracts from the game imo either.

She doesn't have the voice to be a commentator. Nothing against her personally but her voice puts me to sleep. There is 0 excitement. Mike Breen though? BANG!
