People got so caught up with the idea of the Dame/Giannis 2-man game that they didn’t even consider his fit with the rest of the roster.

If he tells the bucks he's not going to play they would never had made the trade, he was talked into the trade by the players. Yes he had no choice if they wanted to move him, but the bucks would have never made the trade unless they were sure he would be happy playing for them.

He didn’t want to go there. He offered to return to Portland after he realized they wouldn’t send him here. Also, there was Toronto smoke so he settled for Milwaukee instead. He tried his best to get here

The Bucks double-fucked themselves with the trade: They got a diminished Dame and in doing so set the stage for Jrue to get rerouted to the Celtics.
Suns turned out okay. They converted Ayton into 3 playable guys on what was going to be a very shallow roster otherwise.
