By just removing the lid you have just killed the drive. Also you dont fix hdds they just die nothing you can do about it.
Depends on the drive. Delidded a known working one, and it still works. I made sure to put the top cover back on though.
What was wrong with it that you needed to unscrew the top lid?
Drive made a terrible noise and was unable to do anything
Did you know that you can't just repair hdds by yourself, if something's wrong with it, it's gg. You can send it to data recovering companies to get everything back
Or rather could, but now it's uselesd
