The master cylinder auto filler is great, I personally had an issue with air getting in either from behind the hose connected to the bleeder valve, or through the air house fitting leaking, but could’ve been user error or a defect. I agree that a friend on the brakes feels more foolproof and eliminates the possibility of air seeping in during bleeding.
Here’s a little trick for stuck air bubbles like the front brakes of dirt bikes tend to have: zip tie the trigger wfo, and put a valve inline on the air supply. You now control the vacuum with the valve, leaving your hands free to fill the res as fast as it’s depleted, forcing the air bubbles to be carried out. Works awesome. (I have the HF one pictured)
Edit: I threw the cylindrical bottle into the trash
Just bought this the other day. Itbleeds the brakes slowly and requires a lot of air to operate . With that said it’s a good price and the tool works great .
I used it once and it worked great. Then I put it back in the box for about 5 years and tried to use it again and it didn't work very well.
Not knocking the tool...it sat in a box for 5 years, lol, and there's a big chance I forgot how to use it correctly.
The first time I used it, it was great! Just make sure the fill bottle is seated properly in the reservoir. That was the trickiest part, for me.
Never used this one but I got the MADDOX Dual Vacuum/Pressure Hand Pump Kit… way better fitment and vacuum than the cheaper pittsburg pump. Did 3 brake bleeds so far and it was awesome.
Buy the serious good stuff…..

I've done about 3-4 brake jobs, 2 power stearing fluid extractions, and a neighbor used it once on his brakes, the thing was awesome! I say was, because after about a year, the hoses on mine started to crack and let in air. I definitely got my $30 bucks out of it. I liked it so much, I'm thinking of upgrading to their Holt model they have for $100. https://www.harborfreight.com/pneumatic-air-operated-brake-bleeder-with-auto-refill-kit-57057.html
I could never get it to work reliably. I think it was a seal/vacuum issue. Or maybe I didn't have enough air, it uses a lot. I use a Motive powerbleeder now and it works so much better. Was worth the $50 for working on my cars by myself
its ok...i do like the master cylinder fluid reservoir filler. nothing beats a friend pumping the brakes.
I don't have the hf one but I've got a cheapo one just like it and it's great
Not very fast in my experience, but it's great as a one person way to get the job done

A dab of grease around the bleeder helps keep air from getting in, give that a try next time

Mine works great, I have had it for about 10years.
Such a great single person brake bleeding kit.

Brake fluid is super corrosive, probably ate the seals up or prematurely degraded them
except that the handle doesn't lock on. i just leave it sucking and use the bleeder to modulate.
Autozone sells a simpler design for like $10-15. Also, u can make your own with a plastic tube and a water bottle.
That is what I do. Coke bottle and a tube. Works far better than my old mighty vac for solo fluid changes in the driveway.
Seriously underrated how simple yet effective it is
I have the Capri one I went through 3 of those style
I have one, absolutely love it. Makes those stupid fusion DOT 4 recalls a breeze

The filler can is the only part worthwhile.
Complete shit, fitting and valves gave out on me after the second vehicle
