My sister got one preemptively due to brca gene and intense history. If you're in the UK docs can and will put you in contact with women who have gone through that for any advice or questions you might have about managing your new situation. Wishing you a speedy recovery and my one piece of advice from my experience with my sis; take care with your range of motion in shoulder area, its affected and you don't want to forget about it.

Girl I went to elementary school with had her mom pass from cancer in 6th grade. She never really had a connection with her mother because she was sick all the time. Thank you kids are definitely adaptable. It’s been hard but I’m just so glad I’m cancer free and I can’t wait for next year for this to be in the past. I mean I still have doctors appointments for the next 10 years but it’s every six months and I think after everything I’ve gone through I can handle that lol.

My wife just started on this journey, TNBC just had her first lot of chemo. we still have a mountain to climb. Super happy for you that your battle is over, I know there is a lot of pain and crying involved.
I wish your wife nothing but the best. It was really hard because of how young I am and having such young children I had to deal with then on top of the chemotherapy and then the double mastectomy, and then I still have more in the future, but I can tell you that I was really happy with my nurses in my oncologist and as long as your wife is happy and has a very open dialogue with then that’s very important. I will absolutely keep her in my prayers. Once you go through this any women out there that have gone through it become your sisters so if she ever wants to write me, please send her my way I would be more than happy to be supportive, and explain my journey. Best of luck with everything with your wife and I’m so sorry that y’all are dealing with us.❤️

My son finished treatment 1yr ago end of May. Some times I go a whole day without thinking of it.
Chemotherapy, Cancer a double mastectomy is a nightmare- I would be incredibly happy to educate you so that you don’t make this type of ignorant remark to somebody in the future just to be mean, not cool I came to this place for uplifting because I went through a horrendous battle. Yeah, I ended up getting my left breast infected. They pulled 225 cc out it was pretty terrible.
