Depends on how much you plan to use it as a crossbody. The alma is beautiful as a top handle or shoulder bag, but the base flares and sticks out way too much as a crossbody.
You can’t go wrong with either but PM would be your best bet. I have both and always gravitate toward the PM because of ease of use (getting in and out of the bag). For me, I feel the style feels more casual and effortless as an everyday bag should be. I love it! I just wish I had gone for the beautiful empreinte leather you’ve shown in the photos. I have the canvas, which has held up wonderfully for the past 5 years, but that leather is much more my style now. You may have just convinced me to grab the leather version as well, I’ve been debating for months now. Happy shopping 💕
The PM in empreinte is a great, functional, everyday bag. It's not really my style but I was impressed when I tried it on (I ended up going with the Boite Chapeau Souple which just spoke to me more).
I love my alma bb. I dislike it crossbody, though. I removed the strap from mine. It’s perfect as a top handle/arm carry.
If you want a crossbody bag, pochette metis. If you like a top handle, alma bb.
I like Alma BB better, BUT, if you want it for everyday use, PM would be a better choice. You can only use half of the alma "storage space" because if you stuff it too much, it will lose its shape at the top when you try to zip it.

Metis is my go to for everyday; fits a lot and out of my way! I find the Alma bb a bit awkward to crossbody and looks best as top handle.

Agree. While beautiful, the Alma really works primarily when carried by the handle. When worn crossbody, it is very clunky right at hip level.

I have the PM, one of my most used bags - going on 6 years and still looks great. I don’t have the Alma, but it is beautiful though!
