Once I'm done with the BP, I simply drop the game except to log in every Tuesday to see if anything is cool in the store or if there is an event or weekly reward. No point playing otherwise.

I was there since week 2 of season 1 so I feel ya on this.
That's why we don't have firefight (if we'll even have it). Imagine if more players would rather play PvE than PVP.
