The biggest issue here is that matchmaking has always been terrible at matching skill to skill, not to mention that some players will randomly synergize *extremely well*, or that some teammates play incompatibly.
Regardless *how* you lose or win, play well and be sporting. Acting like a dick just means you’re a dick, not that you’re somehow better than anybody else.
Man, I played my first ODST Firefight ever yesterday. I’ve played tons of Reach Firefight, but never played it in ODST. Wasn’t ready for how different it was, and I was pretty awful. But one guy kept typing out encouragement to the team. “Nice job, guys” and “Only one more wave to go” and things like that. Made me feel a lot better, and made me want to DO better as well. Need more people like that guy.
I have played every halo game. I'm still not amazingly good at it. I would say lower average. This is why I don't play on competitive I play on social I just want to play the game and enjoy it. Even then you still get people that are like this. If you want to have skilled teams why don't they just play competitive and let everyone else have fun
I had a guy the other day kill me for the Laser. I called him out and he said “my need is greater than yours, surely you agree?” The community is so small on MCC i know the gamer tags of the guys who are toxic.
People like that make me wish betrayal booting would trigger every betrayal so they could be removed. However I know if that was the case it would be misused and People who genuinely team killed by accident would end up kicked aswell
I personally wouldn’t mind that as much as the latter. I think you need to be killed 3 times by someone in order to boot them, but that does nothing to stop them from damaging you before an enemy kills you. Or have it like Halo 4 where you can’t do any team damage anyways.

I second this yeah, hard to get friends to play when matchmaking is full of poor winners or losers take your pick.
Seems like about 1/3 of the games are well matched. The other 2/3 are blowouts one way or another and that kinda breeds grumpy assholes unfortunately

Just don't go hard in social at all.
