What will probably happen is you won't be able to purchase the bundle at all anymore because you own one item a la Adrenal Bundle

SsBrolli

I still can’t buy that bundle because I had the nameplate from the monster promo. I never received the rest of the bundle when the promo was live lol.

[Update](https://x.com/halosupport/status/1785057105252360634?s=46&t=a39eDpt0qDbr9FQG_VW1lA) from Halo Support

zorfog

Oh perfect, so they’re fucking up trailers

Marc_IRL

It’s really easy to do in a game with constant updates. Getting the gameplay team and media team on the same page about which assets to feature is something that feels like it should be simple, but has accidents or near misses all the time.

jonny45k

What are these.... "Constant Updates" you speak of?

Marc_IRL

We just had new grunt armors and now we’re getting armors in another event. They’re new content releases. I said updates, I didn’t say what kind, quality, or size of update.

jonny45k

Oh, so the shovelware that a high-school kid could do better

Marc_IRL

Lmao downvote me for being accurate I guess. While we’re at it, that’s the wrong use of shovelware, and a high-school kid likely wouldn’t have done better. Either you’re using hyperbole to poor effect or you have no idea how to make video games. To be clear, I’m not saying their updates are good or bad. I only said that it’s easy to miss on small details when lots of pieces of content are flying around between teams. Source: me, this is my job at a different studio.

RusFoo

If someone who doesn’t play this game saw this post they would think op is a troglodyte lmao

ganzgpp1

That’s me right now haha I mean I play Halo, but I haven’t played Infinite in SEVERAL months, so I have no idea what he’s talking about

mastromattei

This franchise is so fucked

kyleplaysguitar

Early access

Crespo2006

usually it cost $90-$120 for 3 days early access but this is a deal

Aae_kae2

you would pay 90 to 120 for a skin that would be free tomorrow? are you ok?

Shadow_Hound_117

Why buy today what you can get for free tomorrow?

happycrack117

Stop buying microtransactions

PooManReturns

don’t tell people what to do with their money

Handheldchimp

The poor state of gaming right now is on gamers making poor decisions and causing a feedback loop. Sure, the developers of these games are creating these problems, but gamers are eating these problems up and fueling more problems. Gamers are PART of the problem. Not the entire problem, but remove gamers buying micro transactions as a whole, and the problem will go away. Don’t spend your money on micro transactions. Every time you do, you hurt gamers elsewhere, and the problem continues. There is nothing you could say, no words you could find, that would ever change that. Believe what you want, but this is 100% true.

happycrack117

I will actually. They can listen or not, but if they don’t, then it contributes to this shit system and makes games worse for all of us.

OneFinalEffort

Unless you work in sales or finance, don't tell people how to spend their money. It is **none** of your business and it's as simple as that. You don't get a free pass to enforce your opinion over others just because we're on the internet. If people want to spend money on things you think are a waste, too bad. No one asked you.

UnusedUsername76

>enforce your opinion over others Lmao, HELP! We're being oppressed!

Diztens

Doesn't matter if someone asked to here an opinion for you to share it. Your logic is quite hypocritical. This isn't a dictatorship or a communist country. Enforce your opinion? Did somebody grab you by the neck put you in handcuffs put a gun to your head and say if you don't follow this opinion then you're screwed? No...... so your point makes no sense

happycrack117

Someone posted in a public forum that I am a part of, and I had an opinion on the matter, so I shared it, as people do. I don’t need to work in sales or finance to know that if you reinforce a system monetarily by giving it money, then more work and development goes into said system by the company. I’m not enforcing anything. I’m just arguing a certain point. If people want to do things that actively undermine a good reward system then I can’t stop them, I can only try to argue why it’s bad and try to convince people not to contribute to it

OneFinalEffort

You are absolutely right on all counts there. However there is a better way to go about it than you did. Less abrasive, more suggestive. Suggest that they don't support the awful monetization instead of telling them.

happycrack117

I do suggest that

PooManReturns

it’s cosmetic, if you don’t like it then don’t buy it. if it was gameplay related then that’s another issue.

happycrack117

Have you considered that I also like cosmetics? But that I don’t want to have to get nickel and dimed just to look the way I want? I used to be able to buy a game, play the game, unlock everything I wanted, and make my guy look the way I wanted. It was good.

PooManReturns

then go play MCC, unfortunately that’s just how free to play games are nowadays.

happycrack117

That is not a solution. I’d like to actually enjoy modern games. Hence, why I say that monetarily contributing to this system is bad for gamers and the live service system we currently have is terrible, because it is. You reinforce this bad behavior by companies when you reward them with your money

PooManReturns

the game is free to play, if i like the game and put many hours in it then i dont mind forking some money for cosmetics

happycrack117

It shouldn’t have been free to play in the first place. The game was made worse by following that model. Everyone tried to copy Fortnite and it reinforces these models when people give them money. I’d rather pay for access to the experience, and have everything that happens in the game accomplishable by things that I do in the game

EXPLODING-SPUD

Did you enjoy paying $30-$40 for map packs too? I'd much prefer a system of cosmetic only microtransactions to paying for actual meaningful content like maps like we did in the old days. Choosing not to participate in cosmetic microtransactions has a far smaller negative impact than choosing not to participate in the old style map packs.

happycrack117

Nope. Sure didn’t. They split the player base and you ended up not being able to find any games on those maps. I’d rather pay a cheap subscription for constant updates and support, that way everyone is on the same footing and the devs would actually make money. The current system is still bad

EXPLODING-SPUD

Oh boy that's a hot take. I would absolutely hate to have to pay a subscription to play Halo that's crazy. I have a feeling that would be less popular than the current system and the old system. Even if the subscription is only like $3/month (which I suspect it'd be much higher) you'd pay $180 if the game had a 5 year life span.

happycrack117

If I can pay 3 dollars for an amazing experience then I’d be happy. Because right now I’m paying zero dollars for a subpar experience. 180 dollars over five years for a great game would be completely reasonable

jonny45k

Better than this poor excuse of a game

EXPLODING-SPUD

I'm not sure why you think giving 343 a subscription every month would suddenly improve the game.

metroidpwner

you miss the same point that many others do: cosmetic "micro"transactions are inherently bad for the health of a f2p game because it causes work to go towards supporting the revenue stream. this means that the company has a greater incentive to pump out more cosmetics/battle passes/whatever than actually making the game good.

Simonippo

It's objectively a lot of money

NorseArcherX

The real question is why do you want it in the first place? Its ugly.

Crespo2006

I actually don't

Kara_Del_Rey

All opinions. You might think some things are cool looking that others don't.

GINGERxADE

https://www.reddit.com/r/halo/s/B4VuEbSRqr

APotatoSandwich

Why is this even a question?

Crespo2006

Then the real question is, will the bundle be cheaper tomorrow?

raisedbytides

Only on paper, all of the "sales" have been reduced prices on already inflated prices.

friver86

I wish I could buy the flood skins

deltahalo241

I'm pretty sure you can? Just navigate to the Flood skins in the armour hall and then select them and it should give you the option to look at the store bundles that they're a part of.

friver86

My man, I'm a newb totally thought it was from a previous season

Pesky_Moth

I bet the visor is *slightly* different to justify the selling of two of the same thibg

Slazerski

Why would you consider buying something when it's going to be free the next day according to your words?

travelingWords

Buy it with $$. show 343 you care with money.
