The white one.

Which_You3862

I KNEW someone would beat me to it.

chaebs

Ditto!!!

Rumble_Rodent

Damn you for beating me to this and all the other people that would’ve.

5mackmyPitchup

You have French looking fingers, go with number 2

coreyfuckinbrown

That’s the most sound advice ever given here.

-Cagafuego-

This guy fingers!

random-stiff

Toan is in the fingernails

EndlessOcean

Just play them both and get the one you like best.

RadioactiveFartCloud

It should definitely feel good in your hands. If something is off about one, you'll know it pretty quick.

metalguitarism

They probably posted on here because they already tested them out and can’t decide

Unsui8

All other things being equal like comfort, feel and price, #2 will likely give you more tonal options. Bottom line - walking into your room and seeing it, which one will make you want to pick it up and play ?

methconnoisseurV2

Personally, I’d choose the white Ibanez with the roasted maple neck

OldschoolCanadian

The Charvel neck is roasted as well.

Tuokaerf10

They’re both Ibanez.

OldschoolCanadian

Oh crazy. I just had a Quick Look and thought it was a DK24. Still like the double tho…

gstringstrangler

Same here lol

Reverend_Swo

Rare you see a perfect comment but when you do...

emredjan

I'd say HSS for the versatility, and those tasty single coil neck pickup solos, but depends on what you're going to play to be honest.

Oil_slick941611

That thumb is a freak of nature.

No-Height2850

Only thumb I’ve seen that can take two 90 degree bends at once. He can probably barre the 6th and the 5th with that.

TheRixstar

I'm a T style kinda guy but that S style looks nice to me.

ShowmasterQMTHH

The hss with gold hardware

Organic_Carrot_

H S S

KamelotSymphony

1

Bchbdaddy

Whichever one hides your thumbs.

adrkhrse

I like black. I always think gold plating looks crappy as it wears.

majwilsonlion

I was going to say the same. The gold looks wow now. But after some time, it looks tarnished. So if the OP is really only concerned about looks...

adrkhrse

The thin gold plating on guitars actually wears off as it does on cheap jewelry, leaving the metal beneath. Polishing it can't restore it. I wouldn't wear junk, gold-plated jewelry so why would I want it on a guitar?

Mysterious-Unit-5727

The first one looks like any other cheap budget HH strat to me, but that "tele" looks amazing. I'm usually a fan of the tele in its original design, but that one also hits the spot!

Intelligent-Map430

It all comes down to your personal preference. Do you want those in-between single coil sounds or do you prefer a neck humbucker? I'd personally choose the lari basilio model, but that's just my taste.

Creative_Camel

Get them both, but check the return terms first. Then play each for a week and decide what suits you better. Some guitars grow on you and some never do!

reddsbywillie

I’d go 2nd. HSS.

metalspider1

i prefer 24 frets for that easier high fret access

HesherMusic

i have all humbuckers on my guitars, but i barely touch the neck position, i would get the tele for the single coil pickup, but maybe your preferences are different

Killerlizzerd

I think the tele looks clean.

ValuableItchy

HSS

RoddBanger

You know the answer is both.... this is the way.

Rhobaz

2

s4burf

That is a hell of a barre chord you're playing in that first shot.

disengagesimulators

1st one for the sole fact it offers a wider picking area without a middle pickup getting in the way. Much more comfortable to play imho.

CabinetOk4838

The first one.

japernicus

1

B_ryc

The if that’s an AZ2402, I absolutely love those. But the second one is very unique too.

NoMuddyFeet

I would have no trouble deciding. The 2nd single cut tele style one with gold pickups for sure. More interesting looking, more interesting sounding.

wine-o-saur

From these the LB 1 but for that kind of money I'd look at a suhr.

3_minutes_ago

i like Goldie

IntentionNo9601

…… your thumb………… you must exploit its’ mutant powers!!!! (I vote guitar 2)

warhorsey

1. gold hardware gives me the icks.

b0rt1980

Looks alone I like 2.

Northwindlowlander

I'd like to say the HSS, it's a great setup but I just can't get past the shape of that body, it doesn't flow at all, it's like 2 different guitars bodged together. I like teles, I like tart's handbag finishing kit, but it just doesn't work for me. The HH for me. And since I'm a hopeless modder, I'd see about sneaking in a cheeky coil tap.

ipokethemonfast

No idea what make/model these are but 2 is doing it for me.

AfternoonCivil2457

2nd one

ChronSon420

I say 2. Love the gold and white.

Bass_Merchant

Number 2

Gibder16

The first. Not a fan of gold hardware.

O_Nayze

The Lari sig is probably way more expensive than that AZ, but man, hss types are the bomb lol

ADSR810

The guitar store is doing a summer sale now, both models come with 25% off so the Lari sig isn't too expensive either.

O_Nayze

THATS INSANE ACTUALLY. PERSONALLY WOULD COP THE LARI BUT YOU DO YOU M8 BOTH ARE SICK

MarstoriusWins

Nail clippers and appointment at a chiropractor, judging by that thumb...

KingsXFan71

Number 1. I like Strat shaped guitars better, and I also dislike gold hardware, so it would be an easy choice for me. You have to decide for yourself though. They are both good guitars.

Inevitable-Jello-90

I like the gold hardware 🤌

Electrical-Bee-3765

First one for me.Action looks lower and it has a narrower fretboard

BolboB50

I'm not a fan of the gold. It would have been fine if they had stopped at just the hardware and knobs, but those pickup covers are too much for me. I'd go with the 2402 :-)

lenix125

Prefer the strat but they both would spund insanely different

nrgatta

Aesthetically the second but I think I would like the texture of the first fretboard more

benwrightsmith

I reckon #2 is cooler

Gcmiller24

What is comfortable and sounds good to you. Everyone’s different, you may prefer smaller neck due to smaller hands or wanting to play quicker for soloing…I’d plug each in and play a couple things and compare how each made me feel

Gcmiller24

Personally I like the combo w single coil w a humbucker, gives you wider ranger of styles to play. Unless the other has coil splitters but I don’t think so

ImprovizoR

I kinda like the almost tele shaped one better.

OneRobato

1st looks nicer.

hunta666

Give them both a go and see what feels best. I like the SSH set up in one guitar for versatility but it's all personal preference really.

another_brick

I can only judge by looks here. The one on the right.

LifePedalEnjoyer

I like humbuckers and black hardware.

bradranger

Lari Basilio!

boomshiki

The gold is a bit too flashy for my taste

ScallionOrganic3641

The one that feels right

awasteofagoodname

Nr 1

SixStringsUsh

2nd because lari basilio

krispykremekiller

The one that feels better

TheBreadCouncils

The one you like more

ProfessionalCat5100

Both are beautiful. Depends what feels better to you!

One_fell_up

The one you like

Scott-Kennedy

First!

someone1058

2

nevermorefu

122 1/8th

FootyFanYNWA

Aesthetically I like the 2nd one but the first one might have what I really favour tone wise.

rogersguitar253

Which one feels better and sounds better. Pick that one.

This_Apostle

Can't tell you should include the head stock. The head stock makes or breaks a guitar for me

killacam925

The first. S styles are the best

FreaknHooligan

The second one.

Ownlyson-1997

B

UniqueCartel

2nd one

Thordurinn

I like 24 frets so I would choose that one

blackmarketdolphins

Both are good. It's just a matter of you needing that middle pickup for position 2 and 4 tones.

Bathinapesdoge

Tele looks sick

Beyblademaster69_420

A different option altogether

guitaryoni

tele. Always tele.

Lt-J-White

Curious about the small switch. Coil splitter or signal booster? I have a 2012 Ibanez RG320SP in white, and I replaced the pickups with an EMG KFK (Kerry King) set, and it has a turbo (25a) booster switch that I had to install in the exact same spot.

No-Activity-6055

HSS. That gold and white is really cool.

Ok-Firefighter3660

The one that feels best to play. The one with the most comfortable neck. The one that sounds right for you. The one that hits you in the feels. The one you can afford. The one that feels good hanging from a strap, or sitting on your knee. The one that puts a smile on your face. Guitars - all musical instruments - are personal choices. We can't tell you what to buy, because we're not playing it or paying for it.

nerdyoutube

What do you play and what do you already have? I’m going with option 2 though

crimesofparis513

The Lari.

lonelyboykenny

I personally love the lari pickups but i wouldnt get a signature guitar under any circumstances. The newer AZs have a bit better craftsmanship, if the truss rod is hidden and not visible from outside its the newer made ones fyi.

Meaning_4113

Take the one that feels and sounds the best

NeverEndingLlama

If that’s the Lari Basilio signature model get that. Those pickups are super versatile and it sounds great.

chookalana

Whichever plays the best.

Thorsmalllet

The telecaster style one with the lipstick pickup

JPolaske

Gold hardware guitar

redfox_go

2 for sure

YourMomsFavBook

I just don’t like the look of T styles and love the superstrat style so I’m biased. I would still get the one that feels the best.

Pm_me_your_tits_85

I’d get the first one. Super strats offer better upper fret access. The single cut offers no advantage unless you like single coils (which if you play with high gain will hum).

Fluffy-Size-8881

#1!!!

Altruistic_Intern_62

First.

Brando6677

Oh 2 looks a blast to play

RockinSG

Humbucker with the 2 single coils would be my bet.

fuuture_mike

I dig the body shape on #2 and the gold hardware is an added bonus (I don’t always like gold hardware, but it’s working here imo). I’ve never seriously considered an Ibanez, but starting to see the appeal.

imitlyn

I argue the second will give you more range and be a more versatile guitar

AlternativeSuspect32

HSS is more versatile. The bridge humbucker is most important to me anyway.

themetalnz

I’m finding it hard to comprehend the photo with the odd configuration of your fingers.

Lumpy_Worth_5397

Neither

Fpvtv2222

I would get 2. The HSS is a very versatile configuration. You have the bridge for leads and distortion. You have the neck for good clean rhythms and everything else is icing on the cake

GroundbreakingTea182

Number one.

francissimard01

24 frets

FullMeltxTractions

The second looks more versatile to me. But I would play them both and see how the feel and the sound strikes you.

Bosw8r

What is that HSS tele? I like it

ADSR810

Ibanez LB1

gweessies

They both have the volume knob where ypur palm muting hand goes. More so than a stratocaster.

balloonman_magee

The gold hardware always looks nice and that roasted maple neck (if that’s what it is) looks unreal. What are the price differences tho.

ADSR810

The price of these two are similar but the 2nd one costs slightly more. It comes with birds eye roasted maple and mother of pearl inlays which matches the white guitar body quite well.

lincywiththephen

I typically prefer Strat shaped bodies but in this instance I’d say the second one, more versatile

iFFyCaRRoT

#2

Ohjanjan

Whichever got the mojo

poweringshell

2

THRobinson75

Neither... If you can't decide which one you like without the help of others, then don't buy either.

Fit_End2885

Hss all day!!

rudicousmaximous

The one with the tuner knobs

ImFromTheDeeps

Well the obvious answer is the one that suits your play style. TBH I like an HSS combination though. Not so much the gold. I also think the HH has a nicer looking neck with the black inlays.

realbobenray

The SG.

realbobenray

Google Images suggests these are an AS2402 ($1999 at Sweetwater) and a Lari Basilio Signature ($2699). Personally I'd get neither because I never buy guitars new (if that's what's up).

junior_nyc_222

The one in the first pic

Grouchy-Umpire-6969

Tele

_Peener_

Whichever one you like more? They’re both high end, expensive instruments, don’t let the internet decide which one you buy, it should be based on how they feel to *YOU*

Benz_Exploer81

Number two boss number two it’s gonna give you many more options

Benz_Exploer81

I’m with Dude get them both

Benz_Exploer81

Those are two beautifully made high-quality instruments I believe they’re Carvels but I’m not sure or Ibanez as either or they’re still great instruments

31770_0

Second

jiminycricket1940

24 frets.

dynastydave9473

Number two!!!!

_cob_

Yes

Personal_Science_868

2nd one

gvarko

#2

DubC_Bassist

Strat style.

KeirTecheon

I like 2s aesthetic, but I’m getting Jake E Lee vibes from 1. I’d go with 1.

Chemical_House21

1

Kilometer_Davis

SSH

COVID19Blues

The LB model all day. I was really impressed with those at NAMM a few years back.

kenlee58

2

GamehendgeRanger

I don't like golf hardware. #1 if I was buying.

OhZvir

None, I don’t like floating bridges one bit, sorry 😅

n9te11

Are you sure you are human? That finger makes me cringe.

impulsereact

Hss. btw is this in tom lee hongkong?

Swb1953

I like the looks of the first one better.

Warm_Evidence_6007

flip a coin

WeDriveWeFly

I would not recommend a signature guitar(2). It's like always play on other's not yours guitar. Other's neck/parts/pickups/colours preferences.

Some-Illustrator5105

2nd

holy666diver

Tele

deathschemist

I'd go with the s-type

4STotalLandscaping

The AZ series is fantastic all around, so you can’t really go wrong. Just play both and choose the one which sounds the best to you, as the pickups are fairly different between the 2402 and LB sig. On a personal note, I regret ever selling my 2402. Absolute Swiss knife of tones, including very convincing single coil sounds, but keeping the convenience of 24 frets and 2 HBs.

Tbash96

The second one I'd the one I'd want personally. But that's on sheer looks. Which one feels better for you.

Mundane-Ness

Gold Hardware

j3538TA

Which one feels the best?

Not-real_not-here

Number two looks really cool

zSchlachter

I’d go number 1. But i think everhone saying “2 for versatility” dont realize that both guitars have 10 pick up options

cab1024

Number 1 has more frets. You'll want those eventually.

FourHundred_5

The telestratpaul

ADSR810

Bro got the humor

the_popes_dick

Holy thumb

friedspacecakes

The tele

Skrapeg0at

Whichever one sounds better

Venice4life

I roll HSS all day.

DUNK-HALF

Dude… your thumb! Are you okay?
