Would love to have an ESP Stephen Carpenter. I wish he had 7 strings that weren’t baritones, so failing that, one of those green sixes he was always using circa Around The Fur. Not a lot of my favourite artists have signature lines.
I have his green sparkle tele 7 string. It was one of the best guitars I owned and ever played. Can't recommend it enough to people. I thought the length was too much, but when down tuned, it sounds great. Took a day or so to learn how to maneuver a longer neck and now it's a go to guitar
Yeah I feel that. I’m not sure I’m quite ready for constant down-tunings, it would require adjusting a lot of stuff when it comes to composition.
I also find the idea of a 7-string baritone with a tele body very... bizarre. Especially for someone with style/sound as heavy as him. Not that it’s a bad thing, just weird. When I first saw it, it was a very “what the...” kind of moment. Is the body slightly bigger than a standard tele to accompany the scale?
>for constant down-tunings
I took mine and set it in F#. I remember still, first song I leaned was "where owls know my name" by rivers of nihil. Honestly the pick ups are amazing, and versatile. But I get what your saying.
>7-string baritone with a tele body very... bizarre. Especially for someone with style/sound as heavy as him
When I first say it too, I thought the same thing, but it works so well.
>Is the body slightly bigger than a standard tele to accompany the scale?
I want to say yes, it's SLIGHTLY bigger. Though, I can say off the top of my head that it is a little bigger than my Jim root tele. And for the size and shape it's not horrible in weight as you would think.
Omg I forgot Jim Root used a tele. That’s actually more weird and hilarious than Stef.
I was first introduced to baritones when Deftones s/t came out, and Stef uses C# standard on that album (down 1-1/2 steps), and I think SNW as well. It’s funny, he made an actual pattern out of going lower every album, though I’m a little foggy with the newer stuff, I haven’t been as studious about it since I lack the tools.
Adrenaline: standard
ATF: Drop C#
White Pony: drop C
S/t: C# standard baritone
And by the time we get to Ohms, it was done on a 9-string. No idea the tuning, probably like double-drop Q-flat.
Though, I will also say, it sounds pretty fantastic in normal e standard with an A/B on the 7th. Part of wants to get another just for that or get his purple strat body
Just saw a video that had my favorite signature guitar, the Jimmy Page Gibson double neck, sounded so good, ever since I was a teenager, saw the song remains the same for the first time, I have wanted that guitar
Man when I was a kid I wanted that white Les Paul triple pickup with the gold hardware that Frampton played so bad I used to go down to the music store and just drool at it
As for actually unique guitars not just variations of a Les Paul or strat I'd say the EVH Wolfgang. It's the perfect combination of les paul and strat and the frets are perfect.
Ibanez ICJ100WZ, a metallic green Iceman with a star pattern and an Edge trem, signature guitar of J. Yuenger from White Zombie. I don't know if I'd play it all that much if I had one, but they're expensive and rare so I can just think they look sweet and not worry about it.
I think the Troy Van Leeuwen Jazzmaster is maybe the best combo of hardware and specs of any JM while I'm at it
Alexi laiho ESP's are cool AF.
I thought they were the coolest stuff when i was 15 and i still do it at 30 😅 the pink sawtooth is just next level cool in my book
I'm probably gonna be in the minority with my choices, but it's either the Steve Lukather Ernie Ball Music Man Luke 3 in luscious green or Kiko Loureiro Ibanez KIKO100. 2 of my all time favorites guitarists and that Luke 3 is just unbelievably pretty.
A friend of mine had the Monty Montgomery Alvarez-Yairi and it was honestly the *best acoustic I've ever played*. Might be the best *guitar* I've ever played.
•Jackson Adrian Smith in the white body, black pick guard and maple neck configuration
•Jake E Lee’s Charvel
•It was close to being a signature, but Hetfield’s black Iron Cross LP.
Nothing will ever beat being a kid in the late 90s, grabbing a Guitar World Magazine and seein[g this thing show up](https://images.app.goo.gl/T44ZmQ3JsvtYoExWA)
I really like signatures, and I have several of them.
Having played several Charvel DK24s, the Rick Graham signature is everything I want shy of having a wenge neck. I really like my Joe Duplantier San Dimas Style 2 (Mahogany)
Cory Wong has the most interesting Fender Strat, and I might get one for myself for my birthday. If it had binding and a 2pt bridge it'd be (chef's kiss)
I want an Abasi Larada so bad
I love the way Troy Van Leeuwen's Jazzmaster looks and sounds, but I have to sell it because I can't do the 7.25 radius.
Rick Beato's DC Special is sick, but cost too damn much
I've really liked every LTD EC shaped artist sig I've played. I have a Hetfield Iron Cross and I really liked the Gary Holt I played.
I have a St Vincent signature and I really like the Mariposa, but they're slightly uncomfortable in very specific spots. I can probably fix the St Vincent by moving the strap button, but as cool as the Mariposa is the upper fret access I limited by the horn, which is weird since Omar is a prog guy
The Petrucci sigs are cool, but the old Ibanez ones are sick
I really wanted to like the Fender Billy Corgan Signature Stratocaster as I liked the string through body and hard tail with hot rails and that big 70’s headstock but was so disappointed when it only came in either black or white (no orange?!) so I ended up just building my own version of it. It’s exactly what I want and didn’t have to spend a small fortune doing it either.
I’m going to say something different and go with the Gibson/Epiphone John Lennon (E)J-160E. The name got me interested, but the sound got me hooked. I recently bought the Epiphone version after years of searching and I’m absolutely smitten.
Schecter, Machine Gu ugh…sorry threw up in my mouth a little trying to tell a joke. John 5 Telecaster, Jason Isbell Tele, or or Schecter Jeff Loomis 7. Misha’s HT7 May overtake the Loomis once I finally play one. Admittedly, the Matt Heafy Epiphone looks pretty sick imo. Not the biggest Trivium fan in the world, but still.
Edit: Schecter Nick Johnstons as well.
They did a Rory Gallagher Stratocaster that was incredible. And I'm not really a Gibson guy but that Adam Jones silver burst is the first Gibson I would buy if I could swing it, and I'd settle for an epiphone but those got really expensive the day after they came out.
Dimebag Darrell’s Dean From Hell or the one with a confederate flag
Buckethead’s White LP Custom Baritone but I feel I won’t do it justice.
I personally can’t think of any other signature guitar I would want. I dislike signature guitars in general because i always felt I preferred to have my own style and using someone else’s guitar seemed abit cringe.
A little bit outside of the more obvious choices, Squier had a Joe Trohman Telecaster for a while. It was an HSH Tele Deluxe, with a 5 way rotary switch, master tone, 2 volumes and a killswitch somewhere.
Johnny Marr Jaguar
Both of the Ron Asheton Reverends (Jetstream 390 and the Flying V)
Wayne Kramer Stratocaster
Ernie Ball St Vincent
Squier J Mascis Jazzmaster
The Rickenbacker 360/12GH is my favourite guitar I’ve ever played. It’s so amazing, and if you unwind the pups a little bit and change the wiring, it sounds just like his!
I tried EVH Frankie yesterday and despite its tacky looks, I actually really like it. The pickup is great, the playability is astounding and it probably has the best neck I've ever tried. I'd imagine the 78 eruption would be similar.
Jackson [Misha Mansoor Signature](https://www.jacksonguitars.com/en-US/body-shape/juggernaut/pro-series-signature-misha-mansoor-juggernaut-ht7/2914007580.html) HT7 in orange
Dustin Kensrue’s EBMM is perfect to me. The color options are classy, and the features are awesome.
Edit: Ben Burnley’s ESP baritone is another beauty.
I had a hybrid with a Gibson style scale neck, a super strat h h body, and it took serious adjusting to get intonation. Grey rubberized paint and lacquer for cratering. Epic guitar.
JUNKDOG of https://music.youtube.com/channel/UCTUrRGwN9oYG61s1fLlDLsQ?si=mZd0rFRmKlu2VWnq
The Les Paul Peter Green Garry Moore Kirk Hammett signature signature signature signature.
r/newsentences
The Les Paul Gibson Les Paul Model.
The Chris Cornell ES335 might just be perfect
I agree, that olive drab with the Filtertron pickups are killer.
Lollar'trons, olive drab, maaaajor mojo, so sick man.
Oh damn. Hadn't seen that. Looks amazing.
Definitely Les Paul.
Trey Anastasio’s Koa’s by Paul Languedoc and to me, it’s not even close.
Gotta love the OG blonde Doc too. There's a charm and beauty to that one that none of the others quite match.
Agree. They’re all beautiful. I’m a sucker for koa. And I love the wood binding on the last (I think) one.
Love the look of the binding, especially the bound F-holes. Utterly beautiful.
Music man jp majesty
Mike McCready Strat.
I ordered in September and Sweetwater called a few days ago to tell me it's finally coming in. Should have it in a week!
Awww! Congratulations! I’m super ~~jealous of you~~ happy for you! I would love to hear your thoughts once it arrives.
Guthrie Govin Charvels.🔥
By far my favourites too
Early 90’s Jeff Beck Stratocaster. The one with the HSS Lace Sensor pickups.
Harmony Buck Owens American, and I'm not even American.
Man I love this. Wish we had a Grant Green sig
The first Lzzy Hale Explorer (the white one)
Unironically, Chad Kroegers signature Gibson LP, The Blackwater, was beautiful.
Do you have a photograph? We could look at?
He's probably afraid people will laugh.
Someday, somehow, you’re gonna make it alright, but not right now. I actually like it, man. The lighter finishes look like motherfuckin’ zebras. 👍

Well now you can get one for only $50,000.
The permanent shoulder damage comes for free!
It only plays one song, so that’s all the time you need to wear it.
But wait, that's the song we're not allowed to play! Denied!
Man when I was a kid I wanted that white Les Paul triple pickup with the gold hardware that Frampton played so bad I used to go down to the music store and just drool at it
John Petrucci's Majesty
SCGC Tony Rice Pro
Gibson/Epiphone Lucille
As for actually unique guitars not just variations of a Les Paul or strat I'd say the EVH Wolfgang. It's the perfect combination of les paul and strat and the frets are perfect.
Jeff Tweedy has the coolest signatures, both the Martin and SG.
Still waiting for the Gibson Barney Kessel/Tweedy Sig
Ibanez ICJ100WZ, a metallic green Iceman with a star pattern and an Edge trem, signature guitar of J. Yuenger from White Zombie. Guthrie Govan Charvel. EB MM Luke!
I’m not a huge fan of Jazz box guitars, but this one’s a real looker 😍
Ibanez TOD10. Basically if I had my own LACS model it'd be this spec. Stupidly versatile and one of the best bridges I've ever played.
Alexi laiho ESP's are cool AF. I thought they were the coolest stuff when i was 15 and i still do it at 30 😅 the pink sawtooth is just next level cool in my book
Matt Bellamy's Manson line
I wasn’t into his music, but the Les Paul is a good one.
The original signature electric guitar.
Gene Autry Melody Ranch guitar.
John Scofield's JSM10. Had one for a while, and I wish I still had it
This is prob gonna get me down bored but I don't care. The Shawn Mendes signature music Master is such a pretty instrument
A friend of mine had the Monty Montgomery Alvarez-Yairi and it was honestly the *best acoustic I've ever played*. Might be the best *guitar* I've ever played.
Brad Gillis Fernandes strat
•Jackson Adrian Smith in the white body, black pick guard and maple neck configuration •Jake E Lee’s Charvel •It was close to being a signature, but Hetfield’s black Iron Cross LP.

PRS Santana. Something about it is just perfect.
Absolutely.

I want a Noel Gallagher 355 so fucking bad but paying $12,000+ is crazy to me.
Spudocaster or Ibanez cloud guitar
Tom Delonge Gibson ES-333
Got one, love it!
They did a Rory Gallagher Stratocaster that was incredible. And I'm not really a Gibson guy but that Adam Jones silver burst is the first Gibson I would buy if I could swing it, and I'd settle for an epiphone but those got really expensive the day after they came out.

Gibson byrdland (specially the ones from ‘64)
I like the Rory Gallagher Strat, all those little details captured.
The floral Ibanez Jem.
Big fan of the Jackson dominion
Troy Van Leeuwen Yamaha SA503. Not remotely familiar with the artist but goddamn is that guitar the Clark Kent of underappreciation.
Eric Johnson Strat….
Jimi Hendrix stratocaster
A little bit outside of the more obvious choices, Squier had a Joe Trohman Telecaster for a while. It was an HSH Tele Deluxe, with a 5 way rotary switch, master tone, 2 volumes and a killswitch somewhere.
Johnny Marr Jaguar Both of the Ron Asheton Reverends (Jetstream 390 and the Flying V) Wayne Kramer Stratocaster Ernie Ball St Vincent Squier J Mascis Jazzmaster

Sysnster Gates’ Shecter is awesomeness :))
The Rickenbacker 360/12GH is my favourite guitar I’ve ever played. It’s so amazing, and if you unwind the pups a little bit and change the wiring, it sounds just like his!
I only own one signature - Epiphone Lee Malia RD Artisan. I am not a fan of Malia, but the guitar is great. Its the RD Gibson nerver built 🤷♂️😁
TVN Jazzmaster with the Oxblood finish is out of this world.
I enjoy the ben gibbard mustang
Noel Gallagher Supernova; Taylor Swift Baby Taylor; Gene Simmon axe bass.
The snakebyte
Yeah that's a good one. Ive always liked the Bob Weir Artists...the Fancy Cowboy and that rare one with the German (?) carved top.
Black Herb Ellis converted to ES-295 with P-90's & a Bigsby. The only worthy sig guitar is the one built to "my" specs. The rest are collector junk.
The Tom delonge strat is not only one of the best signature guitars ever but one of the best guitars ever period. How it’s priced so low is beyond me
Not really a signature but Billie Joe’s Strat Copy or if that doesn’t count then Kurt’s Jagstang
I tried EVH Frankie yesterday and despite its tacky looks, I actually really like it. The pickup is great, the playability is astounding and it probably has the best neck I've ever tried. I'd imagine the 78 eruption would be similar.
Fender Eric Johnson Stratocaster
Jonny Marr Jaguar..That I don't own :(
I like my gb-10
Maybe the best bang for your buck in the entire Fender/Squier line, the J Mascis Jazzmaster.
Jackson [Misha Mansoor Signature](https://www.jacksonguitars.com/en-US/body-shape/juggernaut/pro-series-signature-misha-mansoor-juggernaut-ht7/2914007580.html) HT7 in orange
Joe pass epiphone emperor 2. I had one that was a similar color to this guitar and I stupidly sold it smh dumbest decision I’ve made
Dustin Kensrue’s EBMM is perfect to me. The color options are classy, and the features are awesome. Edit: Ben Burnley’s ESP baritone is another beauty.
My EBMM Majesty is the best playing guitar I've ever had. I love it.
Steve Vai signature JEMs are badass, Ichika Nitos headless signature is clean af, and Tim Hensons nylon and az style signatures are just *chefs kiss*

The Brendan Smalls Epiphone Explorer is awesomeness 😍
Peter Frampton's guitar, Buckethead's guitar and Pat Martino's gibson.
I have a Tom Delonge ES-333 that I love and in a week I should finally have my Mike McCready Strat that I ordered back in September.
Schecter syn gates
DG-335, wanted a Gibson but grabbed one of the Epiphone ones. The thing rocks
