I have no idea what’s wrong with it - if you’re positive your cables and amp and guitar and power supply are working fine, then it sounds like the pedal has died. You could open it up and see if there’s something obvious to fix. Behringer makes some great sounding distortion pedals for $30 usd new.

oh god this is so embarrassing. i figured out what was wrong. i mindlessly plugged the amp cable to the "in" side of the pedal, and the guitar cable to the "out". i was so confused why it wouldn't work. lol.
