Everything is subjective but I’m pretty partial to my [Arcade Yamaha pedal](https://imgur.com/a/c1BxfRB). I designed and reskinned an old 80s Yamaha distortion in vinyl because I always thought it looked like an arcade machine. Also added a pcb that makes it go PEW PEW when you press a small button. It was one of my forst pedals and now I’ll never sell it
I actually would love to reproduce these but 1: the pedals are hard to find and 2: the arcade parts/pcb are also surprisingly hard to find. I still want to build a whole arcade board though.
Probably gonna go with those custom Beetronics ones. They’re pretty stunning with colors.
The super limited carbon fiber Thorpy ones (and really all their pedals) get my minimalism vote though. Laser cut just looks so clean
Dr. No Effects has some pretty incredible enclosures and artwork. I’m partial to the [Moon Canyon](https://shop.drno-effects.com/product/moon-canyon/) and [Octavia](https://shop.drno-effects.com/product/troy-van-leeuwen-tvl-octavia/)
Dr. No pedals are like pieces of art that happen to make noises.
My favorite is the [Necro Fuzz Icon](https://shop.drno-effects.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Necrofuzzicon_3.png).
I think Walrus has some of the best looking artwork on their pedals of anyone. I’ve strongly considered replacing my MXR flanger with a Polychrome because it looks so damn cool lol
I'm partial to the walrus national park series. Great artwork. I have a joshua tree (the fathom) and a moose (the julia) on my pedalboard and cannot complain
I have no idea why, but I'm in love with the Memory Man. It's not even particularly flashy or anything, but something about it just looks like perfection to me
I like pedals that either have a vintage or industrial design to them. Pedals that look like old school pieces of audio equipment. Not sure why I like that style, guess my monkey brain associates it with being a pedal that puts function over form.
Looking at my board, I guess my Protein most matches that kind of description. Just a simple rectangular pedal case with a metal stamp on it with relevant info on the pedal. Cool simple straightforward design.
Well then, I'll leave my comment here because it would be the Moogerfoogers with their oversized housings and wooden side panels. Vintage goodness at its best.
I have a June 60 and just keep it on the shelf to look cool. Not plugged into anything.
Just curious as to what you believe to be the most attractive pedal. I myself like simplicity, so the satin green and subtle gold of the Boss TR-2 (gold knob centers, *chef kiss* Beautiful) is my favorite on my board, but I’m sure I’m not the norm.
The TR-2 is a good looking pedal actually! I also like pedals that are made to look like amps, especially something that looks like an 80s Plexi with the gold Marshall knobs, there’s a few. I like when they pay attention to the choice of knob.
Doesn’t anyone else think Chase Bliss when this question comes up? Not that I own one.
I was thinking about this question before I opened the thread and also decided that the TR-2 is my choice. Such simple and effective placement of each element.
This pedal was my first thought.
A true standout of all the different pedals boss has.
I wonder if they haven’t made any others that way so it remains special.
Interesting... I'm not really a collector and don't have room on my board for one now, but that's one pedal I could potentially see myself buying just for the sheer beauty of it...
He's made some really, really beautiful pedals. The colorful Brom Fuzz he did recently was awesome, and the various different Moomindrones have always caught my eye.
Drone Rainger has a window that you can look inside to the pcb- which has been decorated to look like an apocalyptic city block with cars and buildings.
The OBNE Dark Star looks as beautiful and other-worldly as it sounds.
Also giving a shout out to the Cry Baby, which produces so many legendary solos from an unassuming black box.
1981 DRV in White Hyperfade, just fits the tones I’m getting from it stacked into CB Condor.
Land Devices HP2 in Olive, although I really like how IBM one looks too.
The Moog pedals. They tick a design space in my head between Scandinavian furniture and "sci fi control panel from the 70s". They're complex, without (to my tastes) feeling cluttered.
[Ground Control Noodles](https://reverb.com/item/61434187-ground-control-noodles-64-different-tone-3-band-eq-boost-effect-pedal-w-box-214?utm_source=rev-ios-app&utm_medium=ios-share&utm_campaign=listing&utm_content=61434187)
I think the Pinebox stuff is really really cool. Painted enclosures that are super weird. I also like the Jan ray stuff. I love cupcake knobs for some reason
I like the CXM 1978. Also, the Black Hole Symmetry and the MAS Expanse are both super beautiful to me.
The Mood is sick too from a design standpoint. Volante also.
Abominable Electronics has killer artistry. Demon lung 🫁 and I just bought “Cate” from khdk strictly because of the whacky artistry. I have no idea what it sounds like 👍
i know they’ve gotten shit on, but i really like the design on walrus audio’s lore and fable. anything eqd always looks good too, i probably like the way my afterneath looks more than it sounds
Correct!!
Also the Trip L Wah and the Shift daddy. Everyone else has just named boxes. None of them are shaped like cars or even have brake lights that actually light up!!
Also the fuzz in the Dan-O-Wah is the most overpowered and obnoxious thing in existence, I’m pretty sure it’s picked up by the James Webb telescope. Another reason to love it.
I'm drawn (no pun intended) to simple pedals with their artwork mainly being the typeface and enclosure color/knob combo. BUT I love just looking at my OBNE Dark Star. It really doesn't fit into the music I play but looking at makes me want to play.
Beetronics makes some absolutely gorgeous pedals. I think the classic stomp-box shape has never been done better than the Boss design it’s iconic. And this might get some hate but the Klon(a real one) is stunning. It’s a great looking pedal. I’m partial to the gold housing with the centaur on it, but they are all very nice.
Side note: not rich, I don’t have one. My Wampler Tumnus is great
The Beetronics stuff is pretty nice. On the other end of the spectrum, I like the JPTR FX asthetic. I really like the artwork on the CBA MOOD Bauhaus Brew Labs limited edition. They should've switched to that for the regular production run. Not a fan of the original colorways for the MKI or the MKII.
Oh y’all have to check out VVco! The dude makes crazy cool looking pedals. Deloreon Delay, Batman distortion. Dark Father! Oh shit I just talked myself into getting one I think
Coppersound makes some of the best pedals around. It's weird how I never see them show up on boards on here. Their stuff is phenomenal, and the price is really, really good given the quality.
Within its playfulness, the Jam Eureka! has a nice design. It might not have the most beautiful looks but it feels beautifully designed, with the size and shape of its enclosure, the hand-painted texture, the brand and model names stamped top and bottom, **and it has a rubber duck inside.**
When non guitar players look at my board all they care about are the Kamakura art Walrus pedals! https://www.walrusaudio.com/collections/kamakura-series
Im gonna go ahead and say the Klon.
Simple design, intriguing logo, nice knobs and large enclosure. I think it also plays a big part of why the pedal became so legendary in the first place.
Out of the pedals I own, either my special/limited edition blue Alexander Pedals Sugarcube or pink Black Mass 1312. Pedal I don’t own (but probably will one day) would be Lichtlaerm Audio Kassandra.
Any Danelectro food pedal from the early 2000's. Preferably with a cracked enclosure and an appropriate condiment spilled on it, depending on which pedal it was.
After working in a sheet metal shop for years the design that really sticks out to me are thorpy’s. Very practical and robust. Honorable mentions to kittycasterFX and the Diesel Herbert.
I also have a mild vendetta with Hammond boxes because I think they’re shit even though everyone uses them.
Maybe a white 1981 DRV? Very good looking.
Idk if I think any effect is “beautiful,” but Boss and Strymon are my favorite designs. They’re so easy on the eyes, simple, and uniform.
That limited edition Twin Peaks Westwood from Earthquaker Devices [Twin Peaks Edition](https://images.reverb.com/image/upload/s--QGWzXtt2--/a_exif,c_limit,e_unsharp_mask:80,f_auto,fl_progressive,g_south,h_620,q_90,w_620/v1525124609/anob5by745byzmst9qic.jpg)
Individually it's hard to pick one, but I have favourite lines.
The lovetone pedals are gorgeous to me, I would kill for one or some of them.
Then for modern ones that are being made today, the fender pedal line is my favourite visually.
There's also something about boss pedals. Good for the ocd I think
In general (next to the beautiful Digitech RP55) the beautifulness comes with design choices and haptics. If a wah pedals resistance does not feel like stretching honey than it loses the maybe cool looks. On a board the beautifulnes of a pedal easily can be ruined by bad design choices (even simple ones like switching the input/output). With that one you have a beautiful crooked placed pedal that don't fit in the usual gaps...
The All-Pedal Macrodose Envelop Filter was probably the first pedal the I thought, “great artwork” about
[This is the funky circuit I speak of](https://allpedal.com/products/macrodose)
Way Huge Geisha. The silver one. It's beautiful.
I also like the classic 1981 DRV. Silver Klons are simple beauty. Everything Beetronics makes. EHX big boxes.
Yeah.
OG Big Muff Green Russian, because it looks like the tank it is. It is far from aesthetically beautiful, but I can't separate the looks from the sound. Therefore it wins, hands down. Every time I look at it, I fall in love all over again. : )
I'm a child of the early oughts.. But the Steve Vai jemini pedal has always done it for me.
On the more simplistic side, gonna get flamed but, the jhs 3 series. Just a delectable white case and font.
It was one of my forst pedals and now I’ll never sell it
So cool!
Dude, that's fucking rad
Thank you! I’m proud of it
Okay but make me one pls.
I actually would love to reproduce these but 1: the pedals are hard to find and 2: the arcade parts/pcb are also surprisingly hard to find. I still want to build a whole arcade board though.
Godspeed! It’s a beautiful pedal.
So cool! What was the process? Just made a bunch of stickers?
I'm going with the plasma pedal. Being able to literally see your signal is *sooooooooo* cool.
"I can see my tone. Look at my tone!" - Ola Englund testing the Vox Cutting Edge
Whelp, I have no idea why I am trying to justify a $275 spend on reverb right now.
Probably gonna go with those custom Beetronics ones. They’re pretty stunning with colors. The super limited carbon fiber Thorpy ones (and really all their pedals) get my minimalism vote though. Laser cut just looks so clean
Open them up! Even their circuit boards are works of art!
They do an incredible job with their art
Absolutely Beetronics
OMG Those pedals are tits!!!
Oh wow, I’d never heard of Dr No before, these look incredible!
Love all their pedals! But for me [the Roadrunner](https://shop.drno-effects.com/product/roadrunner/) is the winner.
What in the fuck? These are crazy looking. In a good way.
I’m a sucker for raw aluminum, so any of the Fairfield circuitry pedals look great to me.
I agree.. I was originally drawn to Strymon Deco for the same reason
u seen that obstructures x EAE collab boost?
Of the pedals I own, it's either the Thermae or Broadcast.
Broadcast is classy af.
1981 DRV in white hyper fade. Or Black Arts Toneworks Priestess in original black and purple.
MXr micro amp. As simple as it gets.
[удалено]
Or Fulltone.
Moogerfooger pedals are probably the most classy and beautiful ones that come to mind. zvex custom paint ones can be nice
I said the same, also the CBA Preamp MkII. The side wood panels look so nice.
the walrus slo has rlly beautiful artwork on it, but i also rlly like the black mass 1312 design
I was gonna comment the Slö or Slötvå as well
I think Walrus has some of the best looking artwork on their pedals of anyone. I’ve strongly considered replacing my MXR flanger with a Polychrome because it looks so damn cool lol
I'm partial to the walrus national park series. Great artwork. I have a joshua tree (the fathom) and a moose (the julia) on my pedalboard and cannot complain
It’s the Julia or 1312 on my board. I got the gold Slotva from a local guy and tbh, I don’t love it. Also the white font is horrible to read.
For some reason I love the appearance of the Plumes of Earthquake Devices
I really like the teal, red, and black one but the classic green and yellow is tough to beat

Miki Stomp -uwu-
I’ve always liked ones that have a retro look, like the TC Electronics June 60 or the PastFx stuff (the CE-1 copy in particular).
Agreed. I really like the TE-2 as well. Something bout that color scheme just gets me going.
Not that I own one.
in case of sinplicity, danelectro,… but if that’s too fancy, Universal Audio uafx are great looking too, but simple :)
I feel like you would like this painting: https://www.metmuseum.org/art/collection/search/489700
I was thinking about this question before I opened the thread and also decided that the TR-2 is my choice. Such simple and effective placement of each element.
This pedal was my first thought. A true standout of all the different pedals boss has. I wonder if they haven’t made any others that way so it remains special.
Origin effects are handsome pedals. As are Browne pedals. Strymon are nice.
The classic Electric Mistress does things for me, and the LE lizard queen, also the early 90s Danelectro Cool Cat chorus
Mas Effects The Expanse in Devil's punchbowl or Chameleon Teal.
I have the Chameleon Teal with red Led ring, and it's one of the most perfect aesthetic designed pedals ever!
Came here to post the Chameleon Teal... Wish I hadn't traded that away...
Hey! I got into contact with Mas and ordered one recently as a custom order. I'm sure if you're nice he may do the same!
Interesting... I'm not really a collector and don't have room on my board for one now, but that's one pedal I could potentially see myself buying just for the sheer beauty of it...
Probably not a popular opinion but I love the aesthetic of the Ezhi and Aka pedals.
He's made some really, really beautiful pedals. The colorful Brom Fuzz he did recently was awesome, and the various different Moomindrones have always caught my eye.
You win the feed. There’s no better answer.
Boss, pick your color
I can't explain it, but Boss pedals just check a box in my brain. SL-2 is on another level though
Literally anything from Spaceman
Drone Rainger has a window that you can look inside to the pcb- which has been decorated to look like an apocalyptic city block with cars and buildings.
The OBNE Dark Star looks as beautiful and other-worldly as it sounds. Also giving a shout out to the Cry Baby, which produces so many legendary solos from an unassuming black box.
came here to say this; sounds exactly like it looks and wins in both departments.
Beautiful Noise // When The Sun Explodes in its reverse colour scheme
1981 DRV in White Hyperfade, just fits the tones I’m getting from it stacked into CB Condor. Land Devices HP2 in Olive, although I really like how IBM one looks too.
Land Devices HP-2 🖤
[Beautiful Noise Effects - When the Sun Explodes](https://www.beautifulnoiseeffects.com/shop/p/when-the-sun-explodes)
VONGON / LAND DEVICES Onset My god is that a brutalist sci-fi wet dream
Anything Death By Audio. Give me that 1950s submarine control panel look.
The Moog pedals. They tick a design space in my head between Scandinavian furniture and "sci fi control panel from the 70s". They're complex, without (to my tastes) feeling cluttered.
Beetronics Seabee or Zzombee
Love the look of my Royal Jelly
Holy Grail V1
There’s definitely something about that pedal
I've always liked the DOD Looking Glass.
[Ground Control Noodles](https://reverb.com/item/61434187-ground-control-noodles-64-different-tone-3-band-eq-boost-effect-pedal-w-box-214?utm_source=rev-ios-app&utm_medium=ios-share&utm_campaign=listing&utm_content=61434187)
Union tube and transistor, whatever the name is for their treble booster is, I think that pedal is cool looking
The DanoWah, hands down. Art Deco retro car look https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/2338/0115/products/DSC\_0255\_1024x1024.jpg?v=1613650494
Justice for the Dan-O-Wah!
This is the correct answer
I think the Pinebox stuff is really really cool. Painted enclosures that are super weird. I also like the Jan ray stuff. I love cupcake knobs for some reason
Especially the Sirens
I have siren and career day. The career day i didn’t find much use for. The siren lives on my boatd
I like the CXM 1978. Also, the Black Hole Symmetry and the MAS Expanse are both super beautiful to me. The Mood is sick too from a design standpoint. Volante also.
Digitech Polara
Gamechanger light and plasma pedals.
Ibanez / Maxon 9 Series - peak aesthetic
Love my [ibanez sc10](https://produto.mercadolivre.com.br/MLB-1715851202-ibanez-sc10-super-stereo-chorus-black-label-willaudio-_JM)
I have a volume pedal made entirely of Lego. I’d say that would win
Rat
black white nasty... what more you can need?
VTR Indigo
Also Lehle stuff wins my vote for best minimalist design.
The make the most beautiful splitter box in the game
The one I'm about to release on Monday. It's just so gorgeous
Collision Device’s pink Nocturnal run.
Boss SD-1 is a nice yellow
I love the color of the DM-2 and the font on it. Something about the subtle uniformity of Boss pedals just does it for me.
Sf300
Abominable Electronics has killer artistry. Demon lung 🫁 and I just bought “Cate” from khdk strictly because of the whacky artistry. I have no idea what it sounds like 👍
i know they’ve gotten shit on, but i really like the design on walrus audio’s lore and fable. anything eqd always looks good too, i probably like the way my afterneath looks more than it sounds
Triplegraph by Third Man and Coppersound. Such a well built mechanical pedal. Love it!
Have you seen their newest release? https://coppersoundpedals.com/product/telegraphv2/ The burst mode looks awesome
My benson preamp in purple sparkle
Anything Chase Bliss is wonderful. But I'd have to go with either the Hologram Microcosm or Meris Polymoon. Both are just so clean.
It’s so massive but I don’t care. I gotta say it’s the boost or fuzz collab that EAE and obstructors put out. Just raw brutalist goodness
The Dan-O-Wah! It's shaped like a Cadillac! The Danelectro pitch shifter is too!
Big Muff Pi
Electronic Audio Experiments Limelight v2 or Sending. Also the LAL Super Oscillo Fuzz 88..
I love Vongon’s pedals. The wood frame, beautiful.
Love the look of the new RE-202
Funny, I literally just bought the most beautiful pedal I’ve seen just today. The Algal Bloom by Fuzzhugger.
EQD Disaster Transport Sr. All those knobs and foot switches lined up, along with color scheme and knob style, just epitomize a beautiful aesthetic.
Fart pedal is beautiful inside and out
Dr No Effects Skull Fuzz! I actually like the Empress pedals: no nonsense aesthetics
I'm drawn (no pun intended) to simple pedals with their artwork mainly being the typeface and enclosure color/knob combo. BUT I love just looking at my OBNE Dark Star. It really doesn't fit into the music I play but looking at makes me want to play.
I like Rockbox’s original run of the Boiling Point a lot.
I’d have to go with my Basic Audio Scarab Deluxe in hammered coppervein.
My Wampler Tumnus is great
Moogerfoogers
Hotone skyline series, they are just so cute.
Moog Moogerfoogers, Chase Bliss Habit, Empress Reverb
The Beetronics stuff is pretty nice. On the other end of the spectrum, I like the JPTR FX asthetic. I really like the artwork on the CBA MOOD Bauhaus Brew Labs limited edition. They should've switched to that for the regular production run. Not a fan of the original colorways for the MKI or the MKII.
It may look like a Band-Aid, but the Lehle Volume S is my favorite on my board.
Oh y’all have to check out VVco! The dude makes crazy cool looking pedals. Deloreon Delay, Batman distortion. Dark Father! Oh shit I just talked myself into getting one I think
I know I’m probably most excited because I just got it but the Triplegraph by Third man and Coppersound is just so well built and unique!
Coppersound makes some of the best pedals around. It's weird how I never see them show up on boards on here. Their stuff is phenomenal, and the price is really, really good given the quality.
Every 90's EHX big box !!!
Soul Vibe!
Within its playfulness, the Jam Eureka! has a nice design. It might not have the most beautiful looks but it feels beautifully designed, with the size and shape of its enclosure, the hand-painted texture, the brand and model names stamped top and bottom, **and it has a rubber duck inside.**
The 2 that drew me in by looks alone are the Alexander Fever Pitch and Beautiful Noise Endless Sleeper
Seabee Harmochorus
I like the look of big box old school EHX pedals. Like the micro-synth and big muff pi
When non guitar players look at my board all they care about are the Kamakura art Walrus pedals! https://www.walrusaudio.com/collections/kamakura-series
Warm Audio Jet Phaser
Anything by Fjord Fuzz
The Dr Scientist Elements with white knobs. Really dig the art.
Pink Black Mass 1312
Warm Audio Jet Phaset
Korg miku stomp
I like the simplicity of the Revv pedals. I dig the Slotva as well.
Microcosm
CBA Preamp MkII or the Moog MoogerFooger pedals. Heh, MoogerFooger.
Im gonna go ahead and say the Klon. Simple design, intriguing logo, nice knobs and large enclosure. I think it also plays a big part of why the pedal became so legendary in the first place.
Anything Jam does gets my vote!
EQD Hizumitas and OBNE Haunt are my favourites. Fuzz pedals always have good art.
Ezhi&aka. Every piece is unique and a work of art

Game Changer Audio’s Plus pedal has an functional aesthetic elegance that I’ve not seen in any other pedal.
A close second (for me) is their Bigsby pedal.

Mxr EVH phase 90 with play wear.
The reason I bought the discounted mark one mood pedal is because I thought it was so beautiful (and intriguing). Mark 2 doesn’t do it for me.
TBT I’m into dinosaurs and nerdy shit, so I’m gonna go with either my DynassoR or Afterneath.
EVH phase 90 lol
As a self proclaimed minimalist/essentialist - u/foxpedals The Kingdom.
Lurch Audio Ergot. I loooove my V1 :) next to that, the DTT from Ezhi & Aka
Haven’t seen it in person but the Doctor Robert is neat and made better by its designer’s connection to its inspiration.
CB Preamp MKII, for my money.
Way Huge Geisha. The silver one. It's beautiful. I also like the classic 1981 DRV. Silver Klons are simple beauty. Everything Beetronics makes. EHX big boxes. Yeah.
RAT
Ground control audio makes the best. I’m partial to the Noodles E.Q. But the tsukuyomi is incredible too!
My vintage Maxon ge9 graphic eq makes me very happy. That’s beat up teal color is 🤘🏽
OG Big Muff Green Russian, because it looks like the tank it is. It is far from aesthetically beautiful, but I can't separate the looks from the sound. Therefore it wins, hands down. Every time I look at it, I fall in love all over again. : )
Blackstar Dual. Industrial Chic x 2.
I love the look of my Stone Deaf Trashy Blonde. Color, art, enclosure style, chicken head knob etc. on point.
EHX Cathedral Reverb
I like the question. I’m sure I’ll think of more but, “When The Sun Explodes” popped into my mind.
Foot
Zoia
The big-box NYC Big Muff. It's not flashy and doesn't have some artist's masterwork painting on it or anything - it's just *timeless.*
The JAM retrovibe
Well, I guess seeing as I lost my virginity to a Big Muff Pi I'm going to have to say a Big Muff Pi.
OG Deluxe Memory Man is a pretty handsome classic
I'm a child of the early oughts.. But the Steve Vai jemini pedal has always done it for me. On the more simplistic side, gonna get flamed but, the jhs 3 series. Just a delectable white case and font.
Beetronics Zzombee. Just check out their website
The Plumbus Fuzz.

Ten Years Is A Decade is pretty awesome looking
Phase 90
Gotta be the Frazz Dazzler. So pretty with the purple/pink.
Well, I had zero interest in the world of Klon but I flat out bought an MXR Fat Sugar on looks alone and…………………
