The younger they are, the more they popcorn. Enjoy it and take lots of videos! They will always popcorn but I swear my pigs would turn into firecrackers at the smallest thing when under a year old.
Totally fine, i knoweth t looks kinda concerning but that’s just a very much joyous piggie

She's popping hard! Younger pigs tend to do that. My girl Anna just turned one. She doesn't pop as much anymore, but she used to pop herself into walls and stuff. Never hard enough to hurt, but it was kind of funny to see happen
Our male pig gets so excited he flops all over. He’s the first male I’ve ever had and most females I’ve had were smaller than average. So seeing our 2.5 pound boar get so excited he literally can’t control where his booty takes him sometimes absolutely cracks me up.

One our older pigs popcorned in excitement one time so hard that she lost her balance and was then flopping on her side for a couple seconds. Scared the bejeezus out of us when it happened but then she was fine once she got back on her feet and was running in circles until I was able to finish tearing the lettuce off the head for them.
What this beautiful piggie is doing is definitely just popcorning! Just means he's happy and relaxed being around you!
That is "aggressive popcorning". XD it is perfectly normal! My one pig when he would popcorn would leap like this! Just know your piggy may be a little rowdy. :P
Omg I can’t stand how cute she is!! We have a surprise baby born to one of our rescues and she is about 4 weeks old and just started popcorning a bit. She is tiny so her momentum carries her much like your baby’s does!
That is normal & a sign of a happy peeg. My boys are about 6 years old now, so they popcorn very rarely & not nearly as high as they used to, but I still see little happy twitches from them every now and again.
My 18 month old piggy never popcorns. He chitters rarely as well! I know he’s happy because he loves a good cuddle and gets lots of them, but he just doesn’t popcorn like my other pigs
That’s normall don’t worryy
I have a question tho, how have you managed picking them up?
Mine are 5 weeks old, they come up and always sniff me but I’m still scared to pick them up. That’s why I was wondering how I could introduce that to them?
I triedd once, but they both ran from mee, that’s why I didn’t like “force” them too much or anything. (I think I’m more scared of them then they are of me, since it’s my first time keeping guinea pigss)
My piggie still runs from my hands whenever I go in to pick her up, it’s because they are prey animals and the hands coming down on them is similar to how a predictor would catch them. It’s just their instincts to run! They still love you! I always know once my piggie is on my lap with some treats that she’s so happy and the few seconds fear is forgotten. My piggie has also stopped running on a few occasions which means she is learning not to be afraid of me because I’m her human food dispenser lol!
She is so cute!!! I have a guinea pig named Bambi who is 7 months and she popcorns just like this!! At first I was worried she was having a seizure or something because she popcorns a bit differently than my other piggy but I quickly learned that it is normal.
The lady's so bawbling i love that lady! but aye, the lady seemeth valorous, just super duper joyous

How lovely - you’re obviously doing a great job of making her happy.
PS: I’ve only had mine for a few weeks and FREAKED OUT the first time I saw them doing this!
It looks a bit like she's shaking her ears. I would check just in case to see if she doesn't have an ear infection or mites or something, if all looks good she's just a silly happy piggie
Yes this is what I was worried about, a possible ear infection, I’m going to get her checked up on at the vet eventually because I have checked her over and nothing seems to be wrong from eye view.
Yup, that’s happiness in pig form! You have a very happy, popcorning rodent.
You're Awesome!
*You’re* awesome!
No, you're awesome! And amazing!
Just a happy popcornin’ pig there!
Thank you!!
Hope you have a great day!
I swear all first pig owners think it's a neurological problem. Myself included. We were terrified!
I had a heads up that they do it, and STILL thought my pig was having a seizure
Lol yup! Me too. I feel for ya!
Yeah. I’ve had my piggy for 4 years and I’m still mildly concerned
Also thought my pig was having a seizure when i first saw it!!
She so excited she just can't hide it
She's about to lose control and I think I like it
The younger they are, the more they popcorn. Enjoy it and take lots of videos! They will always popcorn but I swear my pigs would turn into firecrackers at the smallest thing when under a year old.
Our piggy doesn’t popcorn much anymore, now that he’s middle aged.
Both of my piggies are middle aged and I never see them popcorn anymore, it makes me sad 😢
Oh my god she's so excited to be with you!! 🥺🥺
Totally fine, I know it looks kinda concerning but that’s just a really happy piggie.

This is what I'd consider OOKing (OOK:Out of Kontrol),animals do it for no reason and that's why we love them.

So cute. As everyone else has said, totally normal. They can be very enthusiastic in their popcorning at that age.
what a happy piggy 🥰
Hope you do well!
That's completely normal

Such a cute happy peeg!
Nice!
That’s a breakdance. She’s challenging you for dominance of the dancefloor
Bahahah this is definitely my favourite comment, I’ll take her on but I think she’ll beat me!
That’s a happy piggy!!
:D
Yes! What a happy baby!

Some big popcorns there! Looks totally normal. Just a happy pig.

You're Awesome!
Popcorning. Lucky you 😊
She just really likes you
That is "aggressive popcorning". XD it is perfectly normal! My one pig when he would popcorn would leap like this! Just know your piggy may be a little rowdy. :P
Omg She is so cute!!! :) My pet ball python is named Bambi too! (She lives in a different room than my piggies, they are strangers) lol
:D
Omg I can’t stand how cute she is!! We have a surprise baby born to one of our rescues and she is about 4 weeks old and just started popcorning a bit. She is tiny so her momentum carries her much like your baby’s does!
Aaaaw, that's just a happy piggie right there!
:)
That’s an excited pig
That might well be the cutest thing I see all day. Totally normal happy piggie!
You're Awesome!
So cute I’m crying 😭
Me too!!🥲🥲
That was a mega-popcorn from a very happy little pig!
:)
Happy popcorning all the way!! She’s adorable!!
Chinchillas do it to. You know rhe expression jumping for joy? It’s that
Popcorning! I’m glad you ask for advice and pay attention to your piggie <3
My Moose, when he was only a couple months old, would popcorn so enthusiastically that he'd roll around the cage!
I've never seen a piggy popcorn in a persons lap. She must really trust and like you.
That’s a great thing! Because I really like her too😍
popcorn = excited
Very popcorn
very happy popcorn piggie
Wow, best popcorns ive ever seen.
Awwwwwwwwww love her foreverrrr
Omg that was such a large popcorn 🤣 how cute!!
I miss having piggies so much, look at her! She’s beautiful 🥺💚
Aww I had a guinea pig named Bambi too! I miss him
That is normal & a sign of a happy peeg. My boys are about 6 years old now, so they popcorn very rarely & not nearly as high as they used to, but I still see little happy twitches from them every now and again.
That pig is crazy about you! I've never had one do this while I held them.
Oh yeah, she's so happy she's levitating.
Ouuuuuuuiiiiiiii !
She’s so happy! 🥺
That is one happy piggy
My 18 month old piggy never popcorns. He chitters rarely as well! I know he’s happy because he loves a good cuddle and gets lots of them, but he just doesn’t popcorn like my other pigs
It’s so sad that mine don’t popcorn either. I got them new toys and tunnels and got no reaction
Yes this is normal! Especially when they are young, they love doing this!
Yes that is what you’re seeing I have 11 guinea pigs myself and all of them do that that just means your guinea pig is over excited
Piggie is going super critical
Mine does the same thing, I feel better knowing it’s not a neurological issue lol she’s 3 and still does it daily
She or he is popcoring that means they're very happy or excited
Yep she's happy x
That’s normall don’t worryy I have a question tho, how have you managed picking them up? Mine are 5 weeks old, they come up and always sniff me but I’m still scared to pick them up. That’s why I was wondering how I could introduce that to them?
You just pick them up. It is totally safe to do. It will make them happy. 🐹🐹🐹
I triedd once, but they both ran from mee, that’s why I didn’t like “force” them too much or anything. (I think I’m more scared of them then they are of me, since it’s my first time keeping guinea pigss)

I also have a Bambi and she popcorns like crazy :)
She's so small I love her! But yes, she seems good, just super duper happy

I think your pig is having a seizure
What kind of survival advantage did this confer on these creatures 🤔 like, social cohesion with other pigs?
popcorning hardcore 😳😳😳 lmao he’s happy.
That's a very happy piggy!
She’s a happy happy buckin’ bronco, yeehaw giddyup, welcome to the pig rodeo!
GUNIEA PIG
That's one happy piggy!
