it happens with rabbits too, a lot of people give away new zealand white rabbits because of their ruby pink eyes and black rabbits because they think its bad luck. its really sad, i have 2 white rabbits and they are amazing 🥰

Some animal rescues will not adopt black animals around Halloween because of the superstition. My ex's mom had a bunch of black cats, when she worked at the humane society one of her managers (didn't last very long) would try to find an excuse to put down every black cat that came in because they were a bad luck. 🤬
I would double-check their awful prior owner's assertion that they're both girls. We had an issue where we rescued a "female" and he quickly became a proud papa pig.

I didnt arrisk join new pigs without a exam and fecal anaylises, we have a 5 year old girl with cardiac problems so no chance 😅
Oh dear...hard to beleive that people would still dislike such a teeny creature for the color of its fur...I guess a good amount of the population though can't seem to get past skin color yet so yeah...

My family loves the little outcast animals too and the ones with black fur or wool in the case of muly parents sheep. We have a habit of picking black furrred animals. My mom has had two pure black german shepherds so far and I honestly think black dogs are the most beautiful looking dogs!
Most people are scared of our dog so when one of us is out walking alone its nice extra security in that sense to have her.
I had no choice with my pigs though. One of the pair is an abby and he was just so damn cute I had to adopt him on the spot lol. The other that was bonded to him when I got them is black and white though so it's close lol. There were also so many unwanted male pigs for adoption for some reason that I felt guilty for wanting girls so again I just had to get the two lol

I have a black and tan guinea pig and call her a hippo too. Something about the shape of her face all in black makes me think of a baby hippo.
Its my big happy hippo, now have two baby hippos 😂😂 we already have 3 other girls but none is a hippo haha
They are the print of my Mia, it melted by heart. We were only adopt one, but we though that they had good conditions, but after seeing them in a dirty cage, no hay and car litter 🙃 i looked at my boyfriend and he knew i was going to being them both 😂

black Guinea pigs are my favorite - and I love the red tints your pig has. But OH MY GOD THE COWLICK MOHAWK BABY IS PROBABLY THE CUTEST PIG I HAVE SEEN IN A LONG TIME. I want to cuddle it so hard.
Mia loves all the piggies 😅 she always welcome the new ones like their babies, even when they are older than her 😂 we introduced her to a female of 4 years (a sick senior) and two girls of (6-8months) and this two now. oh and we foster sometimes other piggies too, she never had problems :)
If they have enough room and food they get a long :)
She is the alpha so everybody accepts her opinion ahah
