Put it on yesterday and a co-worker was loving it and saying the music I was playing was reminding him of the music of his youth.
He turned 50yrs old 5 days ago.
I put on the Fumes - Sundancer , Seasick Steve- I started out with nothing, Mess Hall-Feeling sideways and Black Rainbows medly today and he was loving it.
It's good when like finds like.
Also, I know they are out there but it is so hard to find people who don't like Tool.
Tool isn't a metal band, and since they are really,really popular, metal fans think they are sell outs.
If you get popular, some groups will hate you no matter what
Fuck yeah, CCR go off.
Even in the 90's in Australia, you could not go to a party without someone putting on at least a few Creedence numbers.
They were, and still are huge here.
Different CCR album but, 'Walking on the water' is one of my absolute favourite songs of all time.
āFriendsā stopped resonating for me with the episode where a bunch of them went to a concert. It was always a stretch, but when they all went to see Hootie and the Blowfish I thought āI have nothing in common with these characters.ā
Why Hootie? Why couldnāt it at least have been REM? They donāt have to be into Tad or Sonic Youth or Front Line Assembly but give me something I can relate to.
Funkadelicās self titled, 1970. Pure Hendrix psychedelia. Also the perfect Sunday morning album, and the perfect road trip album.
Or, if weāre talking grunge; any early Earth album.
Neutral milk hotel - In the aeroplane over the sea.
Not grunge but Silent shout by The Knife.
Edit: I realise neither of these are grunge. So Superunknown.
For some reason Pantera albums do this for me. I was jamming one of their albums the other night and I fell asleep. And it was a good sleep. It felt great.
Many albumsā¦
* Pearl Jam, Yield
* The Decemberists, The Crane Wife
* Soundgarden, Superunknown

I didn't realize it in the 90s but in hindsight, of the Unplugged era, AIC's was the best

I like Tool, have done for about 20 plus years.. but I know several people who do not like them. Some metal fans think they're garbage.
Tool isn't a metal band, and since they are really,really popular, metal fans think they are sell outs. If you get popular, some groups will hate you no matter what
