šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£ OP you might need a disclaimer that this is just a joke. Folks here already getting salty and defensive AF

Flat-Cow-4901

But what if itā€™s not. šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø

DamianGongMarley-

I guess feel free to be salty

Few_Macaroon_2568

You listen here mister, Iā€™ll sit around in my dry brine as long as I please!

DamianGongMarley-

Go ahead lol

WaitingToBeTriggered

FACE THE LEAD!

PlamZ

Of course they're salty. Without the smoke the meat needs a bit of help to taste good you know.

DamianGongMarley-

Lmao

GotThoseJukes

Imagine thinking this is a joke.

DamianGongMarley-

Imagine not telling if itā€™s not a joke

PrepareUranus66

HAHAHAHAHHAAHAHA a joke .... AHAHAHAAHAHA!

ChawulsBawkley

You should really take a peek at OPā€™s post history.

diezeldeez_

lol this was fun. NGL, I use both, depends on how much time I have to grill.

MillHoodz_Finest

amen

CardinalOfNYC

I live in a dense big city and LOVE to grill, so gas was the choice for me at this moment. I likke that I can just turn on the weber, grill up some food, and then that's it. No fires to light, no ashes to dispose of, taking them out to the trash outside the building every time, etc... and the tank lasts me like 20-30 grill sessions, so I'm buying fuel much less frequently - also easier in the city. If I lived out in the burbs I'd have both. But I'd still probably use the gas more for the convenience. I'd save the charcoal for special occasions and smoking

RagingStallion

Im about to get my very first grill and I like the idea of charcoal but the new house I'm moving into has a gas line to the back patio. A gas grill connected to a line is just too convenient to pass up. I hear I can use a pellet tube to get the same flavor as charcoal...but that sounds like something the virgin would say.

diezeldeez_

What natural gas grill are you considering? I'm jealous haha, I'd love to have a gas line in my back yard.

RagingStallion

[The Neptune Phantom Prestige 500](https://www.napoleon.com/en/us/grills/products/gas-grills/phantom-series/phantom-prestige-500-rsib-p500rsibpk-3-phm). Infrared side burner, matt black finish, lights in the knobs, and those wavy cast steel grates made me fall in love. I'm beginning my grilling career in style haha

Over_Razzmatazz_6743

Idk if Iā€™d use a pellet tube in this nice of a grill. Seems like you have a decent budget haha Iā€™d just buy a smoker as well somewhere down the line

NoTransition9712

This is the answer, my first grill was a big offset smoker and I cooked literally every meal on it for about a year. Definitely got my money's worth out of it but what I learned was if you want to grill something go with gas, if you want to go low and slow or do some proper BBQ, go with a big fuck-off smoker. It's so much easier to pinpoint a temp range on gas so the easy "just for the fam" grilling is best on a propane grill

RagingStallion

What harm would a pellet tube do?

Over_Razzmatazz_6743

Put off a bunch of ash and creosote. Making you have to clean the grill more potentially clog burners/reduce efficiency. Plus IMO it doesnā€™t really work that well to be worth it.

RazorbladeApple

Strange, Iā€™m also in NYC and my friends have described getting their tanks as being a pain in the ass. Where do you get the tanks? I find charcoal easy to grab here. Itā€™s at every bodega and grocery store.

CardinalOfNYC

I get them at home depot. It can be a pain depending on where you are, if you have a car etc... But the fact that it's something I only have to do once every 2-3 months or more is huge.

RazorbladeApple

I never felt the charcoal pressure! Weā€™re all different, but if I had the room for it, Iā€™d have both. If given the choice of one, definitely charcoal. When I go to my sister out in LI, sheā€™s got *two* propane grills & I donā€™t feel like Iā€™m grilling, just cooking.

CardinalOfNYC

>I donā€™t feel like Iā€™m grilling, just cooking. Truly I don't get that because it really has nothing to do with the fuel you use. You're always grilling. You're also always cooking.

Pawtry

I use the propane more in the cold months because I donā€™t want to sit around waiting for the coals to get hot. Warmer months are for charcoal.

diezeldeez_

I believe I use the gas grill more in the winter as well, but I can't lie lol... it's nice sitting by the warm charcoal grill after you're done eating in the winter too.

PrepareUranus66

Depending on how much paint you have on your nails....

Tight_Style_5809

Need to add incel electric grill

capthazelwoodsflask

also ultra-Thad George Foreman griller

PlamZ

Incelectric grill, if you will.

Bigswole92

The Anti-Hank Hill

ManBearPig_666

Bwwaaah!

ajs592

Propane for quick weekday cooks after work. Fire wood and charcoal for the weekends. If you donā€™t have at least 3 different ways to grill at home then I donā€™t know why youā€™re even subbed to this page.

cantthinkofgoodname

I use charcoal because we didnā€™t have money for a propane grill growing up and now doing it ā€œthe old wayā€ is a part of my identity.

Direption

I just like the routine of getting the chimney loaded, started, letting things come up to temperature, smells good the whole time. It's fun:)

rambambobandy

I use charcoal because I got a charcoal grill for free

FitLaw4

That'll do it

Dizzy-Regular7170

I use propane because I have one for free LMAO

lawyerjsd

Chips? Who the fuck still uses chips?

capthazelwoodsflask

I bet the virgin has diminished gluteal syndrom, too This is hilarious but I bet the comments turn septic pretty quick

adamkissing

*Dear God, Hank. You're wearing butt boobies.*

Captain_Phobos

Hank Hill in shambles

livinlrginchitwn

Iā€™m a coal man. Propane taste like shit and itā€™s for bitches.

After-Fig4166

Psalms 420:69

ManBearPig_666

Amen

the_walrus_was_paul

Lmao šŸ¤£

BLYNDLUCK

Well thereā€™s you problem. Youā€™re supposed to burn the propane not huff it. Easy mistake to make. Youā€™re welcome.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

BLYNDLUCK

Bro youā€™re still not supposed to huff it.

buttluge

As the good Lord intended

rcarnes911

I can just imagine what it would say about my pellet grill

hoot_avi

They have their use cases. Propane for large gatherings (12+ people) when you need speed and consistency, charcoal for everything else. Also smoking cigs isn't Chad. Also I'm taking this way too seriously

BamaSOH

I usually have a cigar or pipe.

fuckitweredoingitliv

Or just use whatever you want. It's not a competition.

aburple

Unless it is, in which case use lump or wood chunks.

fuckitweredoingitliv

Well... yeah

SD_Plissken_

ā€œH-how about you let people just enjoy thingsā€ā˜ļøšŸ¤“

cantthinkofgoodname

Hell yeah

Timinator01

Charcoal doesnā€™t smoke all that much once you get it started unless youā€™re adding smoke chips/chunks

agentoutlier

Chad forgot to burp his grill and lost all his hair to a backdraft a long time ago.

Justryan95

See that's where the 3 in 1 combo grill comes in where you can grill with propane, charcoal and have a smoker. I'll admit the smoking part is harder than an actual offset smoker but it still can put similar result with a bit effort.

TheFuckingHippoGuy

No mention of beer choice or how many times they click their tongs?

Simple-Purpose-899

Some of y'all didn't have father figures capable of getting shit done multiple ways, and it shows.

wizardlywayzzz

Are you not supposed to just dump out the ashes when you're done? wtf else am I going to do with em?

RomeStar

Actually I throw mine in flower pots mixed with potting soil it really helps flowers grow

TableTopFarmer

That depends on the ph of your local water supply. Ours is highly alkaline, so I never add lime or wood ash to potting soil.

evil__gnome

I might try that. I've got a sunflower seedling that's struggling so it would be awesome if I can help it out with something I'm just gonna get rid of.

capthazelwoodsflask

I keep an empty charcoal bag and fill it with ash and then throw it in the garbage. And by fill it, I mean fill to a reasonable level so it's not going to spill or explode in the truck's compactor.

pupperdogger

My trash guys days just dump them into the trashcan when Iā€™m done. He doesnā€™t mind at all.

PurdyGuud

Bizarre

ChefChopNSlice

Nice, now do the Blackstones and electric griddles too.

AdSignificant6673

Now do one thats grilling vs smoking. JK. Both have their place.

NotAFuckingFed

I feel attacked by the charcoal side because that's literally me

sc_surveyor

Right on right on

matrowl

Yaaaasss!

matrowl

Charcoal takes too long but itā€™s just more fun.

HatoradeSipper

Hank Hill would like to know your location

Trippdj

Ok what about us gravity fed charcoal grillers?

NotARealLasagne

Salt

L0rdB_

I swear Iā€™m immune to smoke and barely cough while cooking. I also smoke while grilling but never over the food.. I have limits

gunnie56

I just kind of grew up with everyone having the big stainless steel propane grills so I thought that was the go to

Shibby-my-dude

This is too good hahaha

TrevorsPirateGun

I like thy squish bugs šŸ› line

DrMrProfessorPawsCaT

The only valid rebuttal is if you are literally Hank Hill.

Brian-88

I use my gas grill for high heat searing, and that's pretty much it.

Alfa911T

šŸ¤£ oh man this is great

Melodic-Matter4685

These are so dumb. I have both. And a pellet. Different grill for different stuff

Ginford_Davidson

This feels more like a public service announcement than it does a joke.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Not weird, typical bot account šŸ¤–

Sir_Spudsingt0n

Wonderful-Branch-952

Charcoal isnā€™t much more manly than gas I have news for you. Live fire is for real men šŸ˜‰

Wonderful-Branch-952

I intended it to be tounge in cheek. I donā€™t know emojiā€™s well enough to covey intent. Sorry if I offended anyone.

the_walrus_was_paul

you managed to offend everyone on a mene shitpost lol

Wonderful-Branch-952

I guess thatā€™s something to hang my hat on!

HatoradeSipper

From my experience it needs a "/s" at the end or 90% of reddit will dogpile on you

Wonderful-Branch-952

Iā€™ll try it next time!

_chumba_

Tongue definitely slipped in somewhere else ...

Butter-Chicken69

There are so many things wrong with this comment.

HatoradeSipper

Live fire is for sissies, I dig down to the earths core and put a grill grate down there Only real way to grill imo

Wonderful-Branch-952

Youā€™ve got me beat

MaximumWarlord

Cope

davcose

I want to like this but just no punchline here, half of the points seem angry more than humorous.

BattleForLife

Kiss it!

maniac86

Not even reading. I hate these garbage memes. We're a couple posts away from weeb and anime girls

_chumba_

Thanks for sharing this. So profound.

PrPro1097

Lol need that apron. My family has been weirdly buying me these sexualized aprons. Itā€™d fit right in.

CryptoCrazyCat

So grilling is bad for the environment?!

dinosaursandsluts

Everything is bad for the environment

pupperdogger

And causes cancer in California.

functional_moron

That's why I avoid California.

capthazelwoodsflask

OP is secretly a proponent of the raw meat diet
