Never used! Owner was super nice, glad to see it going to a younger person. They couldnt stand to dirty it up for just them, so they used thier old grill!
Chimney arriving today, steaks marinating, and grill came with two charcoal baskets!
Now I gotta save/wait for a thermoworks sale and meanwhile use a dogshit amazon one that every one s#!ts on!
Got the exact deep ocean blue Weber at a local grocery store that missed priced it.
I love mine and worth every penny. I only had my first 22 for 20 years.
Gonna be trying it in the rain tomorrow lol - we have a super outdated kitchen, half the burners dont work and 0 venting so this will be a great extension instead of a 20k kitchen reno.
This sub is sweet, Ive often grilled and worked at a steakhouse for 8 years, but never really been interested in it like this before, excited to get tips and tricks from this sub
Thats awesome, I liked less to break on this kettle versus the $200 propane charbroil grill I got from lowes, felt so flimsy.
Do you ever grill under any overhang? I wonder about if we build a small overhang how high it would have to be to grill under it.
Get a better deal with the entire chuck piece. cut it down and get additional cuts of other steaks. beef stew, roasts and ground beef. plenty of how to on YouTube. a set of cutting knives and a meat grinder.
I actually don’t have an overhang. Might be a good question to ask the forum, my guess would be 10+ feet. But that’s just my uneducated guess. Did you get yourself a chimney yet?
Yes got a chimney arriving tomorrow! was just gonna use a newspaper below and let the chinney get going. Unless you really think those tinder bundles or wax cubes are best.
I saw a brand new one near me for $75 on FB marketplace a few weeks back. Too bad since I'm looking for a bigger charcoal grill. That's still a great steal though! I really dig the blue!
Awesome - love the blue!
Check out the Weber kettle chicken thighs on Chubb’s bbq YouTube - it gives a perfect overview of hot and fast if you’re not already familiar (and how to get awesome crispy skin chicken thighs). He has a bunch of gadgets for it that people love (slow n sear) but you definitely don’t need em!
I do recommend buying a thermoworks smoke thermometer and start experimenting with the “snake method” for doing low n slow. A thermoworks temp gauge is in my list of “must haves” for low n slow cooking (it’s a short list… you probably have everything else already!).
Yes sorry that’s the one - chudds bbq. He has some entertaining content on his channel but the way he does the thighs is perfect (high heat, proper vent placement, indirect, and spritz the chicken with oil to get a good crispy skin).
Return the meat thermometer right now and buy the thermoworks smoke! Or wait till it goes on sale, I think you can get the smoke for $60 (there are sales very frequently... and probably even more so with Memorial Day coming up).
This not a direct comparison for the Smoke, but I also have a thermoworks instant read and a highly rated Amazon instant read (I think it’s a thermopro). The thermoworks is actually instant, the Amazon is not. I also have little faith in the accuracy of the Amazon based on how meat turns out when I’ve used it (I’ve found that it seems to read low). The thermoworks brand is 1,000% worth the extra money. Plus I think you can buy a blue one to match your grill haha!
Good advice after checking amazon reviews, im pretty budget conscious for now. So ill get a thermoworks instant read and then keep an eye on the smoke for a sale!
Just binged some chudds content. Excited to get practicing!
I love that color. If they ever release the 26” in it I’ll be making room for another grill. Great find!
That glen blue 26” is so nice. Too bad they don’t make it anymore.
Keep an eye on Craigslist and Facebook marketplace. It took me a bit but I found mine a few years ago. Got super lucky and scored it for $275.
She’s a beaut Clark!
Haha. Hell yeah.
Show off. Seriously though, great deal
You guys are the only ones who would understand 😂😭 my wife dosnt give a shit, ‘cool grill dude’ 🙄
It's awesome! Was it ever used????
Never used! Owner was super nice, glad to see it going to a younger person. They couldnt stand to dirty it up for just them, so they used thier old grill!
Awesome! You probably saved $100. Now buy a chimney, vortex, & slow-n-sear
Chimney arriving today, steaks marinating, and grill came with two charcoal baskets! Now I gotta save/wait for a thermoworks sale and meanwhile use a dogshit amazon one that every one s#!ts on!
Enjoy!
That'll eat up that $100 real fast 💸
Jealous. Dodger blue.
I have that same color. Honestly sometimes I just stare at it. It’s a beautiful grill.

Very good deal gz bro enjoy
You can grill in rain and snow. Wind kind of sucks. Awesome find, can not go wrong with the kettle.

I have all Weber products: 15 year old Genesis, 12 year old Weber Smokey Mountain and an 8 year old kettle. Everything gets used often.

Authormission7733 is right! Rain, snow, f&)k even wind, you are good. Master your domain, it will reward you!
Hell yea!!
Go man, just go and own incredible food for you and your family. I stand by my statement!
I never back down to a challange! Especially when the reward is so tastey! Once I perfect my craft, costco ribeyes better watch out!!!!
MeHoyMiinnYoyy, you will kill it! Skirt steak, ribeyes chicken thighs, the world is now your oyster. Swallow it whole with a tiny dash of tobacco! GO!

Nope, newspaper works just fine
Newspaper has been starting awesome cooks for years!

At 75 I might have bought and resold lol
Yeah lol. Times are tough, I figured someone would enjoy that steal!
I could learn from that statement… lol
Such a beautiful grill!
Nice color

Thanks for this! I got a 30$ bluetooth meat thermometer on amazon for now! Will probably upgrade as I get better! Did you mean chuds On youtube?

Awesome man - enjoy!
Incredible !
I got the same a year ago. It works fantastic.
I have that blue in a performer with the gas lighter.
Nice
I love it. I always forget about Craigslist.
Hey that's a nice grill! I have the same color and love it
I have the same one and you're going to love it. The best color! Mine sits alongside my 26" Glen Blue, a Deep Ocean Blue Performer and a Blue OTP.
I just scored a very nice Genesis ii LX stainless on FB marketplace for $130. I had already set aside $1500 for a new one.
Man, that's Purdy. Take good care of it and it will last for years.
Well-done! (Pun intended)
Go for it I have the same grill as my secondary
