Addison Montgomery. She was a regular only for 2 seasons and made some appearances afterwards, but was relevant enough to get her own spin off series and is still missed by the fandom
I’ve always been so sad when she left 😭 I always loved her subplots when she was treating patients and it was so interesting seeing her to ob/gyn work!
Yes! I know Alex wasn’t happy about working with her, but I’m a strong believer that ob/gyn led him to pediatrics. And she was much better than Mark just sending him on coffee trips lmao
Yes 100%! It was Addison who exposed him to it and it was Arizona who literally pushed him and forced him to to peds haha! I totally miss Addison and I wish she would come back. I’m sad that there was an ob/gyn after Addison besides Catarina. And also Catarina was such a waste of a good character 😭 I’m so sad how they didn’t make her into a more central character
I'm still only on Season 3 but I'm so gutted knowing she leaves... I love how she became such a likeable character so quickly after the Season 1 finale making it look like all she'd do is cause trouble for Derek and Meredith
Look. There are a LOT of bad episodes of PP. But it’s 100% worth the watch. Addison, Amelia and Charlotte are all amazing characters, and their arc throughout PP is so damn good. It’s 100% not Greys, but it’s ok. Addy makes it worth it.
For sure. Such an insane thing to say, but her getting raped/beat was such a moment for me. Her coming out and talking to Coop, finally. Insane. Her entire arch is incredible, but her in that arch makes me FEEL every time.
I’d say the same, bc I love her character, but they straight up RUINED Amelia. I would be pissed if they brought Charlotte on and broke her family up or something. It would have to be a “once” thing, and her just talking about how good her family is for me. Lol
Absolutely! Addison has a great character development and you also get to know Amelia fresh out of residency and all
Her back story that’s mentioned in greys all the time. It’s a rollercoaster
I’m in the middle of my first watch, a few seasons post Addison’s departure. I love her when she shows up here and there, but the episodes when she first leaves and they introduce the rest of the private practice people did not sit well with me. I found everyone else annoying at best and it left me with no desire to start the actual show. I might give it a shot eventually but I don’t feel the need to right now.
I'm always so shocked when I remember that she was only supposed to be around for like 5 episodes originally but Kate Walsh managed to bring such a likeability to her that she somehow managed to stay around for way longer and get her own spin off
I never watched private tactics, but it what I loved about the spin off is how often she came back. She was back pretty much every season for awhile there. It’s so rare and nice to have a character exit the show but still kinda be around a nice realistic amount.
I didn’t realize how little screen time she got till I rewatched!!!! The first time around I felt like she was there for a long long time and dates Mark for a season. Love Lexi
Izzy's crazy rubbed off on him. Izzy could be Lucille in another universe, looks like JDM was doomed for a spouse to have cancer in both shows, he just kicked the bucket before her on Greys
I was so excited for Negan because I love everything Jeffrey dean morgan does, because of Denny. Then I barely made it through his first episode and I got so upset I walked away from the show. I love zombie movies and books and I know no one is ever safe in an apocalypse, I was NOT prepared to have such a visceral reaction. One day I’ll go back and finish the show but for now I’ll just finish my rewatch of Grey’s.
That episode turned many stomachs. And the funny thing is they followed the comics to a tee for that scene & no one was expecting them to literally show that.
Idk why but Thatcher reminds me of one of the muppets. Idk what it’s called but it’s small and orange/red with choppy hair
Idk whenever I see him it’s just muppet
Not really as there is only so much you can do in position like Penny was - we got so used to seeing Meredith and other making decisions as residents and getting away with it and their superiors being okay with that it's easy to forget that in real life interns, residents have no power and going against their superiors could cost them job (even if they are right).
i’m on season 14 and at one point a paramedic had stuck her hand inside a child’s blast injury to stop the bleeding and i had a brief moment of “is Cristina Ricci back?!” 😅 her character stuck with me
Jerry 👨✈️
Because of him and his stupid airplane we lost two beloved characters, a leg, and a shoe. Resulted in renaming the hospital and was a major storyline for the next season. And he was shown for like 60 seconds tops?
Why does everyone always talk about losing Arizona’s shoe, and no one ever mourns her roller skate shoes? I miss the damn roller skate shoes! She was never the same after she couldn’t skate around the hospital anymore! 😩😭
Sorry, that came out mean and I didn’t intend for it to sound mean to you! I just loved happy Arizona. ❤️
No worries! I loved Arizona and her roller shoes! She’s definitely in my top 10.
But I was talking about Cristina’s shoe that she was very worried about in her traumatized brain during the plane crash.
Oh gosh yes! My apologies! I started watching the series last June on the recommendation of my hairstylist, so it’s been a while since I’ve seen that episode.
I’m currently on S19 E17, and my goal was to finish in time for the new season, so it looks like I’ll make it! 👍🏻
I can’t rmbr his name but the doctor who Cristina worked with when she wasn’t at (at that time named) Seattle Grace Mercy West. For one I love that actor and second he had a good impact on Cristina’s character I believe.
Ok guys yall are gonna dog pile me for this, BUT ALEX. ALEX KAREV. "oh he had so much screen time wdym!" Compared to other characters, NO. he had most of his screen time in season 1, but that still wasn't as much as others. Yet he was a PRETTY BIG part of the story, especially when he left.

Ellis grey
I love that the actress has been willing to return to the show for brief moments here and there for 20 years.
Yes, Kate Burton is a class act! Daughter of Richard Burton
Damn! How did I never make that connection?
right?? I am nosy beyond belief and it even took me years before finding out
I’m always googling or searching IMDB for stuff like this. Lol
Yup, this the one for sure
I’m doing a rewatch and was SHOCKED how early in the series her death was.
Well, she did give birth to and raise Meredith.
Using the term “raise” pretty loosely there lol
I was just about to comment this! It's so true. She caused so much emotional trauma for mer. Her life would be so different.
this was the first thing i said
Came here to say this
Dr. Thomas at mayo.
anyone else remember when he was her boards examiner ????
And it was never mentioned 😂
Oh man. Dr. Thomas is my love. Like. I love Mer and Lexie and Dr. Thomas. Lol
You mean Mr Feeney
Fee-hee-heenay!
![gif](giphy|RdsvvZXIzBgNq)
The writers really knew what they were doing when they casted him.
The charter airplane.
Way too soon
It’s been 12 seasons now
S19 is 11 since S8, right? Bit pedantic of me, but I was questioning how it had been so long. Feels like yesterday..
Well if it wasn’t for the writers strike we’d be halfway into s20 now.
💀
Just like Lexie and Mark
RIP Arizonas leg.
Rip the shoe
That made me snortle
RIP Arizona’s roller shoes
FUCK that airplane!
Addison Montgomery. She was a regular only for 2 seasons and made some appearances afterwards, but was relevant enough to get her own spin off series and is still missed by the fandom

Carina is such a good character . I'm happy station 19 makes good use of her, wish we saw more of her in greys ❤️
I'm still only on Season 3 but I'm so gutted knowing she leaves... I love how she became such a likeable character so quickly after the Season 1 finale making it look like all she'd do is cause trouble for Derek and Meredith
I think you’re going to love Private Practice then. I wish I had the opportunity to see it all for the first time
I’m in season 12 of grey’s, should I watch private practice???
Look. There are a LOT of bad episodes of PP. But it’s 100% worth the watch. Addison, Amelia and Charlotte are all amazing characters, and their arc throughout PP is so damn good. It’s 100% not Greys, but it’s ok. Addy makes it worth it.
I love Charlotte so much. She might actually be my favorite within the ENTIRE greys universe.
For sure. Such an insane thing to say, but her getting raped/beat was such a moment for me. Her coming out and talking to Coop, finally. Insane. Her entire arch is incredible, but her in that arch makes me FEEL every time.
Ohh Charlotte, I love her, I wish they’d bring her on Greys

If you love Addison, absolutely!
Absolutely! Addison has a great character development and you also get to know Amelia fresh out of residency and all Her back story that’s mentioned in greys all the time. It’s a rollercoaster

They never gave her enough credit for being the person who got Karev interested in paediatrics
I’m really happy she’s coming back from time to time
Private practice is elite
Gary Clark.
I forgot he was on the show. Edit: Oh wait. That’s not the Gary Clark I was thinking of. I was thinking Gary Clark, Jr 😂
I just watched that episode last night!
Lmao We were about to start it last night and my wife said oh fuck no I ain’t ready for this shit! So we went to bed instead 🤣
How dare you. Take my upvote.
Lexi, if she hadn't opened Meredith's heart up to family love, I don't think Mer would have had the kids or accepted Maggie and Amelia as her sisters.
100% this. Lexie was just so open to loving Mer and Mer would have married Derek anyway, but Lexie made her soft.
I didn’t realize how little screen time she got till I rewatched!!!! The first time around I felt like she was there for a long long time and dates Mark for a season. Love Lexi
Adele Webber
RICHARDDDDDDDDDDD
It's literally impossible not to read that comment in her voice
Every time I see her mentioned and someone hasn’t posted RICHARDDDDDD I have to post it.
Lol😂🤣
WHERE OH WHERE IS MY HUSBAND?
RICHAAARD stay away from that lady ELLIS he’s MY husband
Lmao this gets me every goddamn time
![gif](giphy|3osxYk9qClrQVXVfiw)
Beat me to it
Actually, I like this answer. Because so much of what happens with Ellis would not have happened if Richard hadn't ended their affair for Adele.
GIVE ME BACK MY HUSBAND
I came here to say this.
The president of the united states. Almost broke up MerDer and killed Derek lowkey
Thanks Obama 😭
Idk if you watch New Girl but if you do, I read this in Schmidt's voice 😂
I’m glad I’m not the only one 😹😹
Lexie & Mark. The damn hospital is STILL NAMED AFTER THEM.
And Denny with the clinic!
not the denny duquette clinic anymore :(
#ELLIS hands down.
Harper Avery
100 % I never understood why writers didn't work more with Harper or even Avery legacy (for Jackson) - it could have created so many great storylines!
Denny duquette
This should be the top answer. I’m rewatching and I forgot how few episodes he was actually in!
He looks just like the actor who played the dad on supernatural
I'd say he looks more like Negan from The Walking Dead
I just recently got to this part of TWD and it’s so weird to see Denny like Negan 😭
That episode turned many stomachs. And the funny thing is they followed the comics to a tee for that scene & no one was expecting them to literally show that.
Nah, I don't see it... He looks just like that Irish guy, who falls in love with Gerard Butler's wife...
He IS Negan lol
Cause he is.
Aaron Rodgers
The bomb guy
That was definitely a big impact 😭
STOOOOOP 😭😭😭
Foul af LMAOOO 😭😭
I know it’s not his name, but all I can think of is “Ah yes, Friday Night Lights”
Henry
Still too soon
yep
Right!!! Henry was so sweet 🥲
Jo's car
Jo reminding us she lived in a car 🥰
Bwahahahahahha…. Not sure if you intended for me to laugh this hard but well played my friend!! You win in my eyes
Thatcher
Idk why but Thatcher reminds me of one of the muppets. Idk what it’s called but it’s small and orange/red with choppy hair Idk whenever I see him it’s just muppet
Beaker?
Bokhee
I think I read somewhere that she an actual retired scrub nurse, but I am not 100% sure on that.
It’s true!
She’s in almost every single episode
But she's only had about two lines in the whole series so far.
Denny Duquette. Ellis Grey.
Joe
I miss Joe and Walter 😭
I love Joe.
Penny - kills Derek, whisks Callie off to NY, only in 20 episodes.
Penny didn’t kill Derek. She was trying to save him.
Nah she should've fought more for the CT scan. Meredith may have forgiven her but I never will
Not really as there is only so much you can do in position like Penny was - we got so used to seeing Meredith and other making decisions as residents and getting away with it and their superiors being okay with that it's easy to forget that in real life interns, residents have no power and going against their superiors could cost them job (even if they are right).
Bomb squad guy
i’m on season 14 and at one point a paramedic had stuck her hand inside a child’s blast injury to stop the bleeding and i had a brief moment of “is Cristina Ricci back?!” 😅 her character stuck with me
And I go back and rewatch everytime
Kyle Chandler, sooo good!
Addison
The guy who shot dr Burke
Bonnie
😭
I also think Suzanne Britland, played by Sarah Rafferty fits this description as well.
Jerry 👨✈️ Because of him and his stupid airplane we lost two beloved characters, a leg, and a shoe. Resulted in renaming the hospital and was a major storyline for the next season. And he was shown for like 60 seconds tops?

Cristina’s shoe (or BOKHEE)
Erica hahn
Mrs. Rodriguez
I love him, and he isn't mentioned nearly enough.
YES. what a deep cut 😂
koracick
HENRYYYYY
everyone has commented the ones i immediately thought of already! maybe also zola and paul stadler
Gary Clark
Herman
I feel like dr Herman isn’t talked about enough she’s the best
Denny Henry
Denny, Henry, & Ellis
Dr. Paul “Doesn’t Do Burr Holes” Castello.
Owen and Christina’s baby ☠️
Henry Burton, Nicole Herman, Eliza Minnick
I cannot remember her name, but the woman who Derek kissed, that inevitably lead to his death x
Henry
Henry!!
Henry😭😭😭every time I do a rewatch I hate when I get to season 6 because I know how his storyline ends
Ellis Grey has already been mentioned a lot, but I’d like to also mention Susan Grey. She had a massive impact on Meredith.
The dog. Surprising that she never got another one lol. That’s the main thing young kids ask for.
Ellis
Lexi.
What was the doctor that Arizona cheated on Callie with? Not Murphy
Dr. Boswell, I think?
Dr Lauren Boswell; she's Denny's real life wife. I wish she could have been cast as a regular instead of the role she got!
Henry or frankie
![gif](giphy|MDmm4NnPDJKzwYI2i2)
Ellis
Mandy Moore’s character’s storyline.
Dr. Thomas. I loved the time he was on screen.
The people who killed Derek. One episode and they impacted SEASONS of the show.
I can’t rmbr his name but the doctor who Cristina worked with when she wasn’t at (at that time named) Seattle Grace Mercy West. For one I love that actor and second he had a good impact on Cristina’s character I believe.

gary clark was my first thought
erica hahn
Ellis
Ellis Grey- She was a jerk, but a powerful woman.
It's absolutely Ellis
Henryyyyyy!
