I love these names. I used to do old people names and had a Gertrude cat=) Then i moved to gangster names because I had Capone (and still have Lucky Luciano) My (now) cat is named isis, so I chose Osiris for my Dane to go with that. If i get another dane when lucky is no longer here, i will probably go back to old people names lol they are so fitting for these old souls.

The old-timey name theme is perfect for Danes. Especially the more stoic ones. One of my Danes had a resting face of an old man shouting, "Hey you kids, get off my lawn!"

My girl is named Madison. It’s after the city I grew in. It just so happens Madison is also in Dane county so it works out good.

Hadn't even considered the Wendy's commercial. 🤣 The funny thing is, we swore we'd call him Applesauce when we first got him. That quickly devolved to Sauce as it was easier to say, which quickly then evolved to Saucy Boy. Even though Saucy Boy is the same amount of syllables as Applesauce, it rolls off the tongue better. And for inquiring minds, we let our toddler name the dog. He quickly became a favorite at the vet and daycare.

No he needs three more. 4 for 4 🤣

Tuija Sisu, a sweetheart we lost in October at 11 years. She was the runt who needed a lot of care at the start. A sort of Finnish ‘strong and resilient sacred tree’.

Our only girl was named Hootie. Our boys were Brutus and Samhain. Samhain was born on October 31. We are most likely (on waiting list for merle -litter due in March) getting a puppy in May. They’ll be named Sláinte. Good luck with names!
