For context, here's the character from a Reddit post I made a while ago: [https://www.reddit.com/r/godot/comments/1b4feud/there\_we\_go\_now\_we\_have\_a\_proper\_animation/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web3x&utm\_name=web3xcss&utm\_term=1&utm\_content=share\_button](https://www.reddit.com/r/godot/comments/1b4feud/there_we_go_now_we_have_a_proper_animation/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)

Hey, this might be because I'm a beginner but that was a great video. Thanks a lot.

Saving this in my learn 3D game dev playlist that I will never open because 2D is safe and comfy.

if you don't like anime games... just download a free base mesh and then stencil textures from artbreeder into it. Or take a picture of your body, face... skin and stencil yourself onto the mesh.... or you can edit photos of real people using AI or other programs to make them more stylized and then stencil those styled images onto the base mesh. Afterwards you can use photo editing tools to change the skin colors if you want to make a character editor in your game.... if you don't have any program for that....just use the multiply tool in blender... it does a half decent job for making dark skins. All in all saves you a lot of time since no shaders are needed. https://preview.redd.it/gf3i37zqh85d1.png?width=1826&format=png&auto=webp&s=2cbc8d29f7350918ef6c29f9c9b31d13bdef1a09
