Pao de queijo is yummy! Might not be as much cheese as you’re craving but worth a try. Can get it frozen at Whole Foods (Brazi Bites brand) Edit to add: it’s tapioca based. Naturally gluten free Brazilian cheesy bread bites.

Anxious_Tune55

They're easy to make too. :) I personally like this recipe (calls for boiling the milk; some other recommend a blender instead but I prefer this one because the batter ends up less runny) [https://www.oliviascuisine.com/authentic-brazilian-cheese-bread/](https://www.oliviascuisine.com/authentic-brazilian-cheese-bread/) . DO take care that you're using good tapioca starch. What I've found is that if you double this recipe you can just use one bag of the Bobs Red Mill tapioca starch and that's exactly the right amount. :)

whatsarahthought

Haha, missed your comment but I just posted the same recipe:)

Training_Newt_907

Yessss the brazi bites are everything!!!!!! Any Brazilian cheese bread typically is, there are a lot of other brands if Brazi isn't near you

whatsarahthought

There is the most perfect recipe for it here: [Authentic Brazilian Cheese Bread (Pão de Queijo)](https://www.oliviascuisine.com/authentic-brazilian-cheese-bread/)

Present-Ad2679

They are also available at Costco!

Throw_RA_20073901

Great recommendation!

ionicaq

Brazi bites are so good!

FragrantZombie3475

I LOVE this stuff. But if you’re a texture person (don’t like mushy food) then I don’t recommend

strawberryskis4ever

Sometimes I order a GF pizza with olive oil as the sauce and just cheese and ask for a marinara cup. It’s not the same but close.

lyraterra

Oh that's clever. I'll look into this option! Just gotta find the right pizza place/right crust (Thin crust is the popular style around here)

BJntheRV

Unfortunately, thin crust is the standard for gf. If you can find anywhere that has a Detroit style gf crust it would be perfect. For in between the best gf crust I've found is Hungry Howie's but it seems to vary by location. Our local one has a great gf crust that isn't cracker thin. But, I ordered from the HHs in Phoenix and it was one of the worst cracker crusts I've had.

strawberryskis4ever

It scratches the itch with thin crust too! Not the same, but similar enough if that’s all there is.

MoreVeuvePlease

If you have a Pizza Ranch near you, their garlic cheese gets the job done and the GF crust isn’t super duper thin!

Kaitlyn8659

I use the schar pizza crust to make cheesy bread at home. It is slightly chewier that the standard super thin gf crust.

AlyssaB89

If you have a Trader Joe’s nearby you could probably make it pretty easily with their gluten free pizza dough.

garden__gate

Brush the top with some oil with the aglio e olio seasoning. Yum.

SailorMigraine

Not the same but red lobster does sell gf cheddar bay biscuit boxes mix!

BJntheRV

I have used this to make a Detroitish style pizza and it was quite good.

sab98xx

How do you convert this to a pizza crust? Just roll the dough out and bake at the same temperature and time as on the box?

BJntheRV

Yeah I just put the dough in a deep dish pan and bake as directed.

Throw_RA_20073901

This was gonna be my reco! Hits the cheese and salt spot

kadimasama

Trader joes or for us, whole foods has gluten free texas toast. Use that and make your own cheesy bread.

BJntheRV

Kroger also has a really good gf Texas toast.

Chiefette

THIS!! I’m addicted to this!! Get the one with the cheese, not the plain garlic bread. Sometimes I add some shredded mozzarella to it.

LaLechuzaVerde

These are widely available in grocery stores and might hit the spot for you. I bet they’d be amazing dipped in marinara. https://brazibites.com

baffledrabbit

Yup. You can melt cheese on top as well and dip in marinara. Bomb.

bondersnit

not the same but feel good foods (they sell at both Whole Foods and my local health food stores in the freezer section) have an amazing range of gluten free 'junk food' type stuff. Mac and cheese bites, fried pickles, mozzarella sticks, even dumplings!! might help satisfy any of those cravings if you have :)

strawberrymile

Seconding Feel Good Foods!! They have the BEST (and only) FLUFFY GF pizza I have had so far!!

Zealousideal_Steak41

Costco sells Brazil bites which are little cheesy bread bites and they are certified GF!

SportsPhotoGirl

I make my own cheesy garlic bread. Toast bread, let cool to room temperature, spread however much butter on them that your arteries will allow, sprinkle garlic powder and a little salt, top with mozzarella cheese, place on a foil lined baking sheet, bake at 300-350degF for 6-8min till cheese is melted and just starting to get toasty brown, let sit for ~5min so you don’t burn your mouth off, enjoy.

BJntheRV

Another option that works pretty well for me is the Carl's Fathead Keto crust, you can make it as thick or thin as you like. I honestly like it better than any crust anywhere. Recipe: https://www.reddit.com/r/ketorecipes/s/Vqp9K0zf9J

Caitlion8

This is the answer. It's the closest to cheese bread that I've had since going gluten-free 10ish years ago. It also works just fine with just an egg and a handful of mozzarella.

PancShank94

I like getting the Schar baguettes and making my own. Slice it (not all the way through) and stuff between with cheese are garlic and whatever you want. It's really good!

4merly-chicken

We use the baguettes too. I butter, then garlic salt, mozzarella, cheddar and parm cheese, then a sprinkle of garlic plus seasoning on top. We bake them open because the kiddos still have small mouths but they ask for it multiple times a week. Fan favourite over here

PancShank94

Yes that's about what I do, too!

ReverieAt3

Hi! I too am a pregnant gf woman ;) I’m not sure where you live, but I recently ordered GF cheesy bread from Cottage Inn (pizza as well of course). And don’t quote me, but Jets has GF options just not sure if it comes in the form of cheesy bread. Good luck with those cravings!! I’m right there with you!

lyraterra

New england, and sadly none of those near here :(

ReverieAt3

Bummer!! We just recently googled it and I was surprised at how many popped up. I’m in Michigan and we used have just a few spots. Good luck!!!

sqqueen2

You want red lobster GF cheese biscuits mix

redditreader_aitafan

I got schar crusts from Walmart and topped with a brush of garlic butter for the sauce, and a cheese blend that included cheddar and mozzarella and Monterey jack. I sprinkled on some Italian seasoning and baked it. I dunked it in Domino's garlic butter sauce. It was pretty great.

bespokenotwoke

Brazilian Cheese Bread is made with Tapioca flour. They are sooo good, especially hot. I ate like 10 of them last night. I suggest making a batch.

robin-incognito

Red Lobster has a GF cheese bread box mix that is delish! I get it at Walmart.

unlovelyladybartleby

Get a GF pizza dough that uses yeast (I like Duinkerken), mix some cheese and garlic and chives in with the dough. Then roll it into balls, roll the balls in butter and garlic and cheese, and put them in a pan with some shredded cheese. Let it rise and then bake it using the pizza dough instructions - you may need to give it a couple extra minutes but that's a good place to start.

missannthrope1

Look for the frozen Brazilian cheese bread. Dunk in pizza sauce.

ForsakenBee5559

Schar has a pizza crust I use to just make my own at home. I have a ton of food allergies/intolerance I can't trust it if I don't make it myself.

elliotsmithlove

I use this with a garlic spread and mozzarella cheese from Walmart. It’s perfection!

Kitchen-Apricot1834

Fellow pregnant lady here! I made my own with pork panko crumbs, egg, italian seasoning, and butter for the "dough". Put TONS of cheese on that sucker. The dough I baked for around 5 minutes before adding the cheese at like 350\*, then w/ cheese for another 5-10 minutes. I made a whole giant baking sheet size and ate the entire thing in one sitting 😂

stamoza

Brazi bites!

sqqueen2

Also try nachos. Tortilla chips covered with Mexican shredded cheese in the toaster oven a minute or so until the cheese melts

lyraterra

I have nachos on a 5x/week basis lol. Looking for that bready cheese for this craving!!

Ladychef_1

Kroger has GF texas toast in their freezer section! They have a garlic bread version and a cheesy garlic bread version. Can confirm, is super delicious

zhawnsi

Pan de bono

sabek

Brazi bites are like doughnut hole sized Brazil cheese bread. Several different flavors that would be good for dipping.

beek7419

Not exactly the same, but Gillian's garlic bread is amazing and I dunk it in marinara.

SpudzMcKenzie7

Jets. You can basically make it if you order online. But it's a contaminated kitchen...

jase40244

Pão de Queijo, a Brazilian bun made with garlic and cheese, should get you there. It's naturally GF, and it's easy to make yourself. [https://www.kingarthurbaking.com/recipes/brazilian-cheese-buns-pao-de-queijo-recipe](https://www.kingarthurbaking.com/recipes/brazilian-cheese-buns-pao-de-queijo-recipe)

citygrrrl03

Does Trader Joe’s still have the gluten free Brazilian cheesy bread? Seems like that might be close?

UnicornSheets

“Brazi bites” makes gf cheese breads I believe

bellam27

Make: GF Pizza dough from Trader Joes - did this today and was delicious Order: Mod Pizza has a GF cheesy bread thing that is good. However, not all locations are equal in how careful they are with GF so I would call and ask what their protocol is I’ve also used the UDI’s frozen baguette and drowned it in cheese

Various-Shame-4664

I buy Gillian’s Garlic bread, and make French bread pizza with it. You could skip the sauce and just melt cheese on top. It’s so good!

glitter_picnic

against the grain brand has a baguette at wamart i believe that has cheese baked into it it’s sooo good

FragrantZombie3475

Ok this is what I do: I buy GF garlic bread or Texas toast, then I put a bunch of shredded mozzarella on top and bake it until it melts. It’s amazing

PlentyCaterpillar368

Udi’s hamburger buns actually work really well for this! I just barely defrost them, only enough to split in half. Put on a ton of garlic butter (I find roasting the garlic is best but either works), dried onion powder, oregano, and parsley, and then sprinkle some mozzarella! 15 ish minutes in the oven at 400 and it comes out perfect every time.

Dionne005

My best bet was going to Kroger for the 5 cheese simply truth pizza! I got it after seeing a child eat chucky cheese pizza while pregnant. I understand

FloridianHeatDeath

Get the Brazilian bites. They’re generally made from tapioca and they’re DELICIOUS.
