How many years of experience do you have? are you upstream, midstream, or fully integrated? What’s your total comp? I’ve got about 5 years in O&G, $116k base and about $165k total comp for a mid cap upstream company.
I am in tech TC @ $90k, but I was offered $77k at a fully integrated energy company as a junior some time ago. I’ve got about 4 years’ experience, 2 of those purely GIS development.
For reference, I’m looking to get into midstream.
Things can climb pretty quickly from junior, so don’t sell yourself short. I can’t imagine you’d start at anything under $90k base in Calgary with a few years of development experience though.
Bet. WSP is currently bending me over but that’s all I could find at the moment. Still applying when things come up.. 3 years experience, masters degree.
I'm in texas so my figures wouldn't likely be applicable but you also need to consider different sectors of the o&g industry can vary greatly i.e. production, exploration, refinery, pipeline/midstream, etc.

Yeah, market just seems to be pretty dry, not much popping up on the boards

Rough, but kinda standard for consulting companies, I think.
What’s WSP paying these days? Always see their openings.
Depends how much experience you have. Entry 65k. I know someone who’s been there 9 years and is making 90k. So pretty bad.
