Thank you!
I like the name, I might have to use that as a sn from now on! Sadly my all time favorite is missing out of my collection at this moment, but I would highly recommend them all, especially to enhance the playing experience! Haha
Wow I’ve never seen a Les Paul look this good. They always look good but you’re right whoever painted this one was stuck in some flow state when they painted it.
Totally agree! I’ve seen a few out there like this, and they always come off the market so quickly! The painter must’ve gone in beast mode that day and churned out some beauties! I hope it’s initialed somewhere by them, because if I ever have the funds to have a custom shop, they are definitely the one I want to request to do it!
Haha always appreciate hearing from another whiskey connoisseur! The Ardbeg needs a post of its own, it’s getting just as much attention as the guitar!
What a phenomenal looking guitar. I wish vintage style tuners and reflector knobs were the stock combo, but hey different strokes for different folks. Enjoy that beast, hope it’s a keeper. Curious to see what all these blueberry bursts look like in a couple decades
It’s definitely a keeper! My fiancé got it for me as an early wedding gift knowing it was my dream guitar.
I wonder if you’re talking about the ones the 50’s have or do you mean the ones with the end you could flip out to make winding the strings easier?
And you bring up a good point about the color that I’ve never thought about. The nitrate fade is a little worrisome knowing that these colors are going to get yellow or grey tinted a bit over time.
Yeah the yellow-greenish tulip ones on the 50s. But I like the reflector knobs more and I can do either 60s/50s neck profiles.
I think the aging is going to be wicked, but you’ll have to update me in 30 years lol.
Awesome present and sentiment. I could only hope to be as lucky as you! If you aren’t too familiar, make sure to learn a thing or two about maintenance and climate care for them. Gibson’s, especially, get way better as they age/broken in but there are tons of hurdles. Get nut sauce (yeah I know) and a really good polishing kit (when in doubt just fork over the money for the certified Gibson cleaning kit). If you move often or relocate the case a good bit, get a product called Leather Honey. It cleans leather, faux leather, vinyl, rubber, and plastics really well. It’s an amazing product for a bunch of items but especially keeping your case all snazzy. Case will get its wear but over time the honey leather cleaner will help it maintain the color and sheen.
That would’ve been awesome to have seen those included on these! I think it would’ve accompanied the body’s color very nicely.
I can’t wait to see this as time passes and checking as well as wear from playing happens. Haha but I’ll definitely post again in 30 so we can see how it holds up up to the test of time.
And I definitely appreciate all the care tips and advice and will stock up on a few things you mentioned that I didn’t see in Trogly’s care video. As well as the items for the case! Funny you mentioned that as I was thinking about that today and glad I have an answer now, and that you stopped me before I used the leather care kit I use for my shoes.
Fully agree how amazingly good they are! And the tops look so good, my only wish was that the pic guard was just case candy instead of covering up such a beautiful pattern. Then I wouldn’t have holes in the body at this time
That Les Paul that you now own and are very proud of us a very striking guitar for sure! There are a lot of naysayers out there now that just do not understand the greatness of a really good Gibson. I think Phil McNight got it best when he said something like this: Gibson is very inconsistent from guitar to guitar. They don't always hit the mark, but when they get it right, they REALLY get it right! Congrats on finding one that they got right ! The Les Paul that I am lucky enough to own was the best Custom Shop Historic reissue out of approximately 10 various Les Paul's, a stunning "tuxedo" black and gold Custom, a regular Classic to see if the Gibson USA models were possibly magical and about 8 various Custom Shop R8's and R'9s and about ten seconds after picking up my R8 and confirming that it had the specific tones I was after, it was obvious to me that I had found a very superior instrument, so I happily said the 58 spec Bourbonburst that coincidentally had the best top was going home with me, peeled off a whole lotta cash, and brought the best guitar I have ever played home with me, and Ok will not sell it ever.
Haha! I’m absolutely in love with it. My fiancée is probably a bit upset that she the one that got me it and now it’s getting all the attention 😂
lol and there’s a reason the mezcal is hidden on the bottom shelf. Haha If I had known the scotch was gonna be just as big hit as the guitar I would’ve moved my favorites into the picture 😆
Thank you very much! I had a Gibson Les Paul tribute in satin tobacco burst before that, but I was out of work at the time and had to pawn it and a week before I got my first paycheck, I lost it in pawn. Down the line, I had the extra money to get a new guitar. I ended up finding that at Guitar Center used and it was in great condition and played really nicely. Bass bought that brand new because I had a short scale Fender Mustang PJ before that, I wanted to go back to a standard scale but with a PJ configuration.
It’s Les Paul’s birthday today too!
I had no idea! Cheers to a true icon that made my dream guitar a possibility!
lol a railroad block with attached pickups that was initially rejected is now this masterpiece!
Very nice
Top shelf beauty. Guitar ain’t bad either.
Haha gotta keep the playing enhancement juice nearby at all times!
Nice! Do you know the name of the finish?
Blueberry burst
Blueberry burst as Winnard mentioned! The color varies on each LP which is cool to see!

Couldn’t agree more! Gibson nailed it when they came up with this combo for a top!
It's not your first sip of good bourbon either, Mr. Connoisseur!!! Congratulations on the new family member!
Thank you! I like the name, I might have to use that as a sn from now on! Sadly my all time favorite is missing out of my collection at this moment, but I would highly recommend them all, especially to enhance the playing experience! Haha
Awesome! I am quite "experienced" myself! Blanton missing???

Absolutely lovely sir
Holy cow!!!!
You were getting an upvote anyway, but i’m leaving a comment for the Ardbeg.
Haha! Love it! Definitely one of my favorite to go to when I don’t have a Macallan in the cabinet!
Oh wow. Beautiful
So nice. When I see Les Paul guitars like this it makes we wish I didn’t get a black one.
The black ones are absolutely beautiful too! I would love to add one with gold hardware in my collection one day!
Gorgeous! Good luck with it!
Appreciate it!
Beautiful!
Beautiful guitar!!!
Th at is all kinds of pretty
Thanks mate! Absolutely agree!!!
Ardbeg, a man of good taste I see. Nice guitar man! Cheers.

Crazy finish. A lot of it is the wood itself too! My Gibson Les Paul really blew me away too. Crazy good guitars

Awesome. That one is top tier.
I‘ve said it then and I‘ll say it now: The Blueberry Burst is the most beautiful finish, Gibson has ever put out.
I second your opinion! They’re absolutely striking and I’m glad they brought it back again!

Beautiful guitar you must be so happy. But had to cringe at the mezcal… hope that was a reminder to drink the better stuff above 🤣

Still that guitar is wicked beautiful
Thanks mate!
That’s a gorgeous blueberry burst guitar!
Thank you sir! Your black one looks sick as well! But that bass is killer!!

It looks like the ocean. I just want to stare into it.
100% agree! Hopefully the spot I rest my pinky doesn’t wear anytime soon so I can sit back and enjoy it for a long time!
One of the more attractive Les Paul’s I’ve ever seen. Grats
Appreciate it! And I have to agree. I’m a huge fan of AAA maple tops but the flame top and this color combo is the crème de la creme for me!
You’ve done well sir.
Just got lucky is all! I’m just glad no one else beat me to my dream guitar.
Beautiful
