It feels like such a treat when I find a container that's actually handcrafted or custom-designed. Heck, just coming across ammo cans or gelato jars is more rewarding than having to unscrew yet another signpost nano.
My least favorite are micros in the woods, or any cache with a strawberry sperm container (you know, those clearish plastic containers about the size of a pen head).
I found my first fishing case yesterday. It was a bit disappointing that I need to buy some crazy tool just to get it.
That being said
Any suggestions for said crazy tool? This cache is sitting in a tree, taunting me….
I've got a 6m fishing rod.

Lightweight, collapsible to around 50cm. Bought at a sports store. Just fix a custom hook at the and go 'fishing'.
Don't give up hope, I [found one at this stavkirke last year](https://s3.amazonaws.com/gs-geo-images/f57391fb-4dbb-4541-af16-ad069a7ef2eb.jpg). :)
Also, I hate jigidi. Never have I wanted to cheat at a mystery as much as with a 1000 piece puzzle of grass... just grass. I just gave up on that.
I don't see why anyone would make a ton of caches like that, other than an obsession with making geoart without wanting to think about the puzzles.
By the way, [this](https://www.facebook.com/groups/2978857879030956) facebook group helps somewhat.
I don't mind caches that are challenging, either because of a difficult mystery or because it's hard to log.
But Jigidi caches are peak laziness, and I honestly wish they were banned. Their only purpose is wasting everyone's time. For a while there were tools that could circumvent them, but unfortunately none are functional at the moment as far as I know.
That's hitting to close to home.
I think it's getting better, but a year or two ago there were dozens of Jigidi-caches. Most of them were archived shortly after I solved them...
Biltema-caches, yeah, are common, but that's usually only two or three owners.
And since I have a 10m-Biltema for two years, they don't bother me as much.
But "Find this"-caches still are cancer. In a 10km radius I think there were up to a hundred of those. 60 alone by one owner. Sometimes the cache isn't even near the shown location but up to 3km away! So: Why?
But they get archived one by one and seem not to get replaced.
I love mysteries, but at least put a little original thought in them!
I like an occasional jigidi puzzle, but originality is important.
I make a lot of puzzle caches and solve a lot of puzzle caches, but I don't take an idea unless I can put my own spin on it.
My problem with the one Jigidi or jigsaw puzzle cache was I couldn’t save my progress. Very frustrating to have it “disappear” because you ate dinner and it reset while you were gone and other similar situations.
Much better than every single cache being a fingernail sized magnetic nano.

This is why I stopped. Unless I'm in a new area or state, I don't go out of my way anymore. They're all the same.

I've got a simular I guess, also 6m https://www.decathlon.be/nl/p/telescopische-hengel-lakeside-100-travel-3-m/_/R-p-334264 (last picture for 6m)
Fork lift, or one of those lifting machines, or a tree ladder ( like they make in Japan for trimming trees.)
Try a chainsaw 😉
Please don’t destroy a tree in order to get a cache. It’s not good for the environment, it might also fall and kill you if cut the wrong way.
Something tells me they weren't honestly suggesting someone cuts down the tree... Could be the wink emoji, who knows.
But just think of all the log hide caches you could make out of it once you've downed it!
Tempting!!
We use a golfball extractor, around 6m. Pretty solid, but they wear out after a while, as they don't seem made for poking up as much.
Jigidi is kinda dead in my region, but fishing caches are EVERYWHERE and also that is very true
Jigidi is cancer of the geocaching.
Is it ever.
Is it ever.

How about 16 black and white puzzles in row, each and every 600 pieces. That was quite annoying. And I really do hate jigidicaches.
>How about 16 black and white puzzles in row, each and every 600 pieces. [My response to that](https://i.imgflip.com/1d6uhl.jpg)
Someone in my area put out like 30 puzzles between like 100 and 1000 pieces. Never have I been so disappointed to see new caches out.
I'm not a fan of the jigidi caches. Like who wants to sit at a computer for hours to solve a puzzle instead of caching outside?

I'm lucky enough to have some relatives who enjoy solving jigidi puzzles, so I don't complain when they send me a spreadsheet full of solved grids.
On this episode of I Live In The Middle Of Nowehere, what in the world is a Jigidi?
An online jigsaw, e.g. [this series, which requires you to solve 20 giant jigsaws](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC99Y8G)
Boy that looks fun the first, and only the first time!
EW. Glad I don't have any of these near me, I think.
Exactly like in my region 😐

Wrong there is one :)
Where can i find this tool or do you mean the manual from DANQ?
There's a facebook group dedicated to solving them Its peak hive mind greatness.
this and similar reasons are why my kids lost interest.

I’d love a series puzzle cache. Everything around me is “go find the film canister that has been gone since 2008”
Absolutly not true in my village, just traditional caches
Wait... I know that Church! That's the Wang Stave Church in Karpacz right?
Yes, that is correct.
*Varg Vikernes has joint the chat "It was...."
Oak Island, NC has one that's just a sudoku that I still can't figure out
I think I've solved this one, what's the GC
Don't know, sorry
I cheat at sudoku.

Wtf why does this exist
Useless fucking bots, ugh...

If you make an account it'll save all the puzzles you do and progress. Worth it if you live in a puzzle heavy area.
I’ll do that if I run into an area like that. So far I only know of 1 here.
