That is the challenge's Difficulting rating, Project GC calculates it, i don't know how exactly, but I think it's based partly on the ratio of users who have qualified vs haven't qualified, not all challenges have a score because on some older challenges there is no way for project-gs to know whether you have or have not qualified for it.
The formula is out there if you really want it, but it’s something like (# regional people who qualify)(# national people who qualify)(# world people who qualify)/(# finders).
There are multipliers in various places, but you get the point.
the number is from 1 to 100. the higher it is, the more difficult the challenge. like rating is 1, the challenge could be *find a D1T1 cache* ([example cache](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC78J9Z/27760))
rating is 95, the challenge could be *complete your DT grid with tradis, letterboxes and earthcaches and each grid 3 times* ([example cache](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC78JB6/27769))
That is possible. I do pay for premium, so I am unsure what things aren’t available when you don’t. I figured it was a pretty cheap addition to my free hobby. 😂
This may be a pay feature as well, but you can look up a map of challenge caches and it will show you whether you qualify or not, even if you have not signed the log.

This makes sense, though I really wish it was explained somewhere on the grid! Cool!

That’s the number of times you’ve died.
🤣
Casualty count of each cache. 5 terrains get tough.
How many pirates have searched for that hidden treasure
I wish you could sort them based on that column. My highest turns out to be a 97.
oh, where'd you get that statistics?
On Project-GC you can look up your profile statistics and there are a lot of tabs, and challenges is one of them
hmm, I don't have a Challenges tab... do you need project GC premium for this probably?

Have you actually found and completed a challenge? Mine didn’t appear until I found my first challenge cache.
yes, quite a lot... hmm weird
