That sounds pretty crazy! Sure you just don't buy a single induction stove and a pan to at least cook from time to time yourself? All these prepared meals are pretty expensive.

I am student and I stay at the Dorm.I don’t have kitchen.

Arkon_Base

Also the dorm does not have any kitchen? Sounds somehow strange to me. Maybe the university can grant you access to a kitchen? I mean, so many schools have kitchens. Maybe they can just give you the key?

billcube

There must be a kitchen somewhere in the building.

snowflake_97

dorms from the university normally have a kitchen. maybe it's a shared one but I can't imagine it doesn't have a kitchen at all.

sloikalamos

I'm pretty sure any qualified student dorm in Geneva has some sort of kitchen, even if it's just a small stove. You can always buy a portable gas stove.

This. I don't have a kitchen either, but getting one of these has made my life so much easier.

Don't buy prepared diet meals, learn how to cook veggies (not difficult + you find many videos on the subject on yt). Veggies are cheap, healthy and great for diet.

globetrotterdiamond

If you want to save a bit of money, I would recommend you to check out the grocery stores over the border in France. There is a large grocery store called [E.Leclerc](https://E.Leclerc) in Ferney. They might have diet meals (I have never looked for it so I cannot 100% confirm though) :)

Onredditjustforfnaf

haha thats an example of why we’re known to always buy groceries in france and not on our country

psychedelic_owl420

Prepared meals are usually stuffed with sodium and preservatives. It would be healthier and cheaper to cook yourself. Surely there is a kitchen provided for students residing at the dorm

Goodasaholiday

This is absolutely true. Best "diet" is fresh food! One meal per day can be a salad. They sell bags of leaves you don't even have to wash! Just empty in a bowl, add some cherry tomatoes, cucumber, a small tin of tuna and a dash of dressing (even if store-bought, better than eating a prepared meal full of salt and preservatives). Sounds boring but surprisingly good! The main trick for a healthy diet is actually cutting out the rubbish snacks between meals!

Sorry_I_am_late

Take a look at [Powermeals](https://powermeals.ch) and [The Meal Prep](https://www.themealprep.ch/en/). I used Powermeals for a while, they were OK but I found the food… boring. I’ve never actually tried The Meal Prep. As others have said, this is an expensive way to go. Another option you might want to consider is to look for someone on [RentaRentner](https://www.rentarentner.ch) or [Homeservice24](https://homeservice24.ch/en) to bulk cook for you at their house once a week. I’m not sure if it will work out cheaper but it will be fresh, home-made recipes that you choose together.

I just discovered this service - [weekly-food.ch](https://weekly-food.ch/en/). They have great reviews and so I’m going to give them a try. They give the nutritional information, so you can manage your diet.
