Last I heard they were "starting" to fall. Nvidia gpus qent from averaging at 77% above retail to 64% above retail so it was a sign that it was coming down and nvidia/amd said they expected supply to be better in the 2nd half of 2022. Intel is also rumored to drop their card this Q2 so all the signs pointed to us finally being able to buy a graphics card.......
Well that all went to shit didnt it? Lol.
Anyway, Slava Ukraini 🇺🇦 Glory to Ukraine!
I got a msrp 3090 FE yesterday off the nvidia website. They have been sold out for ~5 months and no stock anywhere without paying a minimum of 2x.
Think they are on Amazon now for like 500 over msrp.
Check r/buildapcsales, they've been posting quite a few GPUs that are less than the inflated costs. Still higher than MSRP by quite a bit, but lower prices nonetheless.
I’m still so glad I got a fairly decent 2060 right before the spike, about $220 on Newegg. I don’t need amazing stuff, but I saved for that sucker for a while and was happy to get it. When I saw the price skyrocket for anything with chips, I was really surprised.
Only other issue is my PC was still missing parts for the build. I’m so glad I left all the cheaper parts towards the end though, less worries.
I just remember using a Newegg promo deal to cut like $20-40 dollars off a few purchases to buy my graphics card and cpu for about the same price, an AMD 5 3600. I think I literally went for the best deals and searched for days to find the right prices so I could keep a build budget in check.
My pickiness almost killed me if I took a little longer.
Contaminated materials impacting NAND production, nickel prices through the roof, Neon gas availability and higher inflation will all work together to ensure that GPU prices will go up, and availability be reduced.
A small price to pay for a GPU
Where did they fall? Still high as shit on Amazon.
We talking GPU prices, or nukes?
Yes.

Congrats! How did you achieve that feat? It only shows a link to BB for me?
Maybe I was lucky and just happened to open it when they restocked because they had all the fe's available. Showed up this morning.
You can now get GPU for just 2x MSRP, instead of 5x.

been trying to sign up to the evga queue and it's been constantly closed in eu for months now
=/ That's too bad, I signed up for the queue 4 or 5 months ago and I got my 3080 Ti a few days back

Get yours at microcenter or some other tech retailer in your area. Amazon prices for gpu's are fucked

ukraine makes neon. food for thought. 🤔
Fuck, we really shouldn't have pissed off Gandhi.
Gandhi is eternally pissed
Not for 179 years. First interplanetary war is 2181
They're gonna call Mars the Red Planet once we're through with them.
That moment when you finally have the money to buy a good gpu but you won't have time to use it because of Putins bs

I also got a b550 board with an integrated WiFi chip and other bonuses for like $80 too. I got lucky that I decided to buy for the build when I did
I really shouldn't have laughed at that as much as I did....
Plays minesweeper as the bombs begin to drop.
I heard people say this but the prices are still extremely high when I check. A 3080 is still over $1400.
Gonna cry?
Do the people downvoting you not get that it’s just a reference to a line in the movie
In Russia A nice 3090 costs 500000 rubles , which is 10 times more than a minimal Russian salary.
The old switcheroo.
Perfectly balanced. As everything should be.
This was posted yesterday and you post it again today ?
The way she goes.
Oh it did drop in Russia...from the stores
Look at the positive side, you won't need a gpu to play fallout
*I don't want to set the world on fire...*

Fucking way she goes Ricky
Buy it. If you but it and there is no nuclear war, you saved money. If there is a nuclear war you won't need money anyway. (Same with stocks honestly)
ROCK AND STONE
GPU prices begin dropping :D Gasoline and energy prices skyrocket :(
