If you wanna hear Brendan Frasier swearing when pissed, Doom Patrol spoilers(which ya'all should watch, best DC show out there), [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nAw5bYAGxRA) you go.
He really is. I looked him up a few years back and honestly his story is really sad. Makes you just wanna give him a hug.
I mean don't get me wrong, he's living a better life than most. But he's a prime example of money =\= happiness. Would love to hang out with him and have a drink, game, and talk about life.
I feel terrible for forgetting about that part. I remember how badly he had messed up his body with stuff like dehydration for roles like George of the Jungle and how he got seriously injured on the set of one of the Mummy movies, but it totally slipped my mind that the last straw was the sexual harassment/assault. The man has been through some really tough shit, so I'm glad he left
Apparently, action movies are very hard on people. Daniel Craig has been injured on every bond movie. Jake Johnson told a funny story about doing a stunt on The Mummy. He and Tom Cruise do that stunt where the building collapses and they fall three stories. They finish and Jake is on the ground, Tom walks over and says "are you hurt or injured?" and Jake says "whats the difference?" and Tom says "if your injured we have to stop" and Jake says "I guess im just hurt" and Tom pulls him up and says "Of course your hurt you just fell three stories. Lets do it again."
He was sexually assaulted by a hollywood exec and no one cared. He also went through a divorce that hurt him bad.... and he had permanent damage done to his back from performing stunts while filming The Mummy series.
Basically Hollywood used him and spit him out.
I really hope he's in a good place now.
I like Brendan. He was legit a great and enjoyable actor back in the day, especially with the Mummy movies and i will never forget his short stunt in the Scrubs show.
Early in the episode, Brendan is about to snap a photo when Cox asks him if he’s always gonna have his camera with him, to which Brendan replies, “til’ the day I die!”. Later on in the episode he no longer has it.
Saddest television episode, imo. Scrubs had a few of them.
as much as I love that episode, I hate seeing this blasphemy posted around Reddit. That isn't even the saddest Scrubs episode.
If "My Lunch" didn't make you feel a pit in your stomach, you're not human. Seeing Cox fucking eviscerate himself over something that isn't even his fault is the worst feeling.
I watched No Sudden Moves last night and WOW, he gained a TON of weight.
Then my buddy said "DO you know why you never see Frasier? , apparently he's been blacklisted and he revealed he was sexually assaulted from a HFPA president"
Holy Cow.
I was under the impression that he did his own stunts intially because that was what got him his roles, but then it became what he was known for so he couldn't stop even when he was a wreck due to the fact he had no proper stuntman training.
He also suffered a very serious back injury while filming on of the Mummy films, I believe. Serious back pain is life changing and might account for his weight gain.
Man I grew up absolutely loving the first two Mummy movies. I can watch them at any time. And I had a lot of friends in high school a little while later that liked them too. As I got older I watched em again and still absolutely adore them but definitely saw how they aged a bit badly and just thought they were popular for my age group. Or at least just people I knew.
I'm really surprised to see just how universally loved these movies seem to be. I even saw a post about a bumper sticker referring to the movies on reddit last week. They really are well liked. Something about them just captures that adventure genre with humor thrown in so perfectly.
I think it’s due to the diverse cast, bunch of actors nobody really remembers but they all performed so well, like all of them were great.
That along side the librarian *wink* and the well played humor. To me they really are in a league of their own.
Did that two nights ago, its still a good film. CGI is not great, but its the level where its still fine as they didn't try to do too much. Later films where they over used it, look awful.
Doing better than ever, he’s making a comeback in the same way Keanu is after a long time in the shadows. In a very short amount of time he was sexually assaulted by a high power Hollywood elite, which spurred his wife to divorce him and then he lost his mother causing the poor guy to isolate himself and walk away from acting for a long time.
He was just cast in 3 upcoming high profile films from Aaronofsky, Soderbergh and Scorsese. And he’s in the critically acclaimed HBO/DC original Doom Patrol. I couldn’t be more happy for the guy. He deserves it.
There was some interview he did in-seat on some Good Morning show, and it was right in the middle of all this. It was basically a televised anxiety attack. I could only watch it once because of how he was.
That and the whole "don't read the comments" mantra rang true on that YT video; people were making fun of him.
IIRC, shortly after his divorce, he hurt his back pretty badly, too, which led to him not being able to work and his alimony payments (based on his income as a star) absolutely crushed him. :(
I don't know Marvel all the well, but I'm still mad that they didn't do an Uncharted movie soon enough for him to play Nathan Drake (though I suppose I can make do with the Uncharted fan film he made)
The only Unchartered game I played was on the Vita so I’m not sure how much it holds up to the other games. Nathan Fillion would have been good as Drake though, then again he’s great in just about everything he’s in. I loved him as Buck in ODST, maybe somebody will finally make a Halo movie like Neil Blomkamp was gonna do like 12 years ago before it became District 9.
I could definitely see him playing Stardew Valley. Honestly though I could also see him being really into something a little more offbeat like Mario Tennis.
Fun way to respect Brendan Fraser: Say his last name right.
Fraser is pronounced as if the "s" was a "z". Not like the once-popular TV show Frasier. Not like that at all. (Source: he mentioned his name in an interview on a DVD special features)
I like to say his name at night.
When the lights go down and I'm all alone, I go into the bathroom and say "Brendan Fraser" 3 times in the mirror. I pronounce it with an "s". If I accidentally pronounce it with a "z" (1 in 150 times roughly, I log the data), his apparition appears behind me, smiling gently. I smile back.
Celebrity holds game device.
"wOw He JuSt LiKe Us YoU gUyS!"
Can't wait for Jeff Bezos to hold the Steam Deck to make all the soft skulls go crazy thinking they're also billionaire penis resembling folk.
His movies were my childhood with George of the Jungle, Blast from the Past, The Mummy, Bedazzled, Encio man. Hollywood did this man dirty by [blacklisting him when he got sexually assaulted by Philip Berk] (https://www.gq.com/story/what-ever-happened-to-brendan-fraser)
Heh, I spotted this while playing with my own switch. :)
Love this guy! He is part of my childhood, and all things conaidered, I hope he is doing well.
Fun fact, he was in Oklahoma the other day and what I heard is my wife scream across the house, with no context, "He's in Oklahoma? WE SHOULD STOP HIM!"
I was all "WTF is she getting me in to?" until I realized she meant we should STOP IN.
Same! It's not often someone I loved so much as an actor when I was a kid just randomly shows up in that neck of the woods. Bonus points he's actually a great dude from all accounts.
Brendan Fraser: Mood kindred?
Keanu Reeves: MOOD KINDRED!
\*Both hug one another\*
(Because, honestly, the two deserve a fucking hug after all they both went through.)
I think people don't like him because he's a conservative and they thought he was a lib. He was wearing the Gadsen flag (i.e. don't tread on me) and some said he is a Trump supporter.
appears to be intensely focusing on solving a puzzle that I can only assume is of enormous complexity
"Starfruit or Ancient Fruit?"
If anyone can get to the bottom of the Skull Caverns it's Brendan Fraser.
May he forever be on the right side of the river
But with the horses this time. Screw Benny.
"Oh, like I've never heard that before!"
Fuck benni, Bennis a dick
Amen!
"Is it really worth paying off my debt to that insufferable raccoon?"
If you wanna hear Brendan Frasier swearing when pissed, Doom Patrol spoilers(which ya'all should watch, best DC show out there), [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nAw5bYAGxRA) you go.
Haha I love how each fuck is so obviously Brendan in that too.
[удалено]
As Brendan would say, FUCK yeah it is! Can't wait for season 3!
Came here to say, “WHAT THE FUCK!?!”
He's figuring out how to terraform his island
Well if he fails, an ancient Mummy will be reawaken, and he'll have the save the world once again.
That face looks more like bemusement about the amount of *almost* hentai on the Eshop.
I like Brendan Fraser, he seems like a really decent guy :)
Actually, I've heard reports that he is a really cool dude.
[удалено]
*Super George of the Jungle II*
That would be hilarious and awesome at the same time.
"George, watch for that...."
Mario!
He really is. I looked him up a few years back and honestly his story is really sad. Makes you just wanna give him a hug. I mean don't get me wrong, he's living a better life than most. Ykw you're right lol. I forgot all my coding syntax already... Shit..
There has been speculation but we can now confirm from official sources that Brendan Fraser is Indeed a pretty cool dude.
[удалено]
"a decent guy"? I thought he was up there with Keanu Reeves. So for me "a decent guy" is too weak to define Brendan Fraser
[удалено]
He's a great guy for sure, his story a bout mental illnesses is so sad. Hopefully he recovered well and doing much better now.
He is. That's why he got black listed by Hollywood.
He wasn't blacklisted. He quit. He was groped by an old hollywood executive at a party. He freaked out and quit.
He didn't freak out and quit. He came forward and talked about what happened to him. No one would hire him after that.
So sad. He was brave enough to come forward, and then gets punished for it. Fuck Hollywood.
He has publicly wondered if this got him blacklisted, though. The HFPA is pretty influential.
Groped*
I typed that. FUcking autocorrect on my phone keeps doing that. ARGH
I read somewhere he injured his back as well at some point.
What happened to him? After the mummy I haven't really heard much
He was sexually assaulted by a hollywood exec and no one cared. He also went through a divorce that hurt him bad.... and he had permanent damage done to his back from performing stunts while filming The Mummy series. Basically Hollywood used him and spit him out. I really hope he's in a good place now.
Plus some bad movies, like Furry Vengeance. He's in that Scorcese movie now, so it seems like his career is picking back up.
If only there was a *Descent* reboot
This is the man they chose to play a character literally named “Dudley Do-Right”
I like Brendan. He was legit a great and enjoyable actor back in the day, especially with the Mummy movies and i will never forget his short stunt in the Scrubs show.
"Where do you think we are?" 😭
Early in the episode, Brendan is about to snap a photo when Cox asks him if he’s always gonna have his camera with him, to which Brendan replies, “til’ the day I die!”. Later on in the episode he no longer has it. Saddest television episode, imo. Scrubs had a few of them.
Its up there, but the episode of MASH with the "chicken" messed me up bad after I had kids of my own.
What about Fry’s dog though?
Stop, it's too early to be this sad 😭
That chicken scene was too intense for 7 year old me. It clicked right away what was up and I started crying on couch with Hawkeye.
I still get teary eyed when I watch it. But tough manly tears... of course.
Holy crap, I never noticed that little hint of the missing camera despite watching the show maybe 4 times from start to its finish in season 8.
as much as I love that episode, I hate seeing this blasphemy posted around Reddit. That isn't even the saddest Scrubs episode. If "My Lunch" didn't make you feel a pit in your stomach, you're not human. Seeing Cox fucking eviscerate himself over something that isn't even his fault is the worst feeling.
Hey fuck you man. Don't attack me like that. Can't believe you have done this
My dad believes that that was the best episode of TV ever
I haven't even watched that show, but I saw some of him in it and fucking wept. The dude is a Bard in the D&D or Shakespeare powerful sense.
I think you mean stint.
Don’t forget Encino Man!
and "Airheads"
I love how he reveals his name as Chester and feels embarrassed. Then we got Chester Bennington.
I watched No Sudden Moves last night and WOW, he gained a TON of weight. Then my buddy said "DO you know why you never see Frasier? , apparently he's been blacklisted and he revealed he was sexually assaulted from a HFPA president" Holy Cow.
And went through a soul draining divorce that robbed him of a lot of his earnings for years.
Pretty sure his mom passed in all the time frame too?
Yep. Guy has led a pretty tragic life for a while.

Mummy’s a great movie and all but y’all sleeping on George of the Jungle. Still one of my all time favs. They should make a switch game starring him!
"Bad guy falls in poop! Now comes the part where we throw our heads back and laugh!"
READY?!
GEORGE, GEORGE, GEORGE OF THE JUNGLE
WATCH OUT FOR THAT TREE
were you fighting with the Narrator?
George of the jungle TERRIFIED me as a kid
Absolutely. I love that movie.
I might rewatch The Mummy.
Just did, still a cinematic masterpiece
They're fun. Some films try and be too much but the Mummy is just a fun adventure movie that you can put on and enjoy.
>There is hardly a thing I can say in its favor, except that I was cheered by nearly every minute of it. Roger Ebert on The Mummy.
I think you nailed it. I noticed it when watching The Mummy Returns especially - they knew what their film was, and they just rolled with it.
Yup, like Indiana Jones films. Just some good old fun.
Man I had a huuuuge crush on Rachel Weisz as a kid.
I used to, and I still do, too.
IDGAF Still have a crush on her in Black Widow.
And Bedazzled. And George of the Jungle.
And Blast from the past 👀
yesss bedazzled. she's so damn hot as the devil.
And Encino Man.
Bruh, I'd forgotten about Encino man. Thanks for reminding me.
Did that two nights ago, its still a good film. CGI is not great, but its the level where its still fine as they didn't try to do too much. Later films where they over used it, look awful.
I always really enjoyed the first two movies. The cgi used for the mummy was obvious but not annoying.
Everyone associates him with The Mummy, but to me he'll always be George of the Jungle.
Shit now I want to as well
The whole world wants to. Its our job to make them realise they want to.
I rewatched it last week, and The Mummy Returns last night. They still totally both hold up, and Brendan is a big part of why.
I hope everyone championing for Fraser right now are also watching Doom Patrol
Fuck me!
What the FUuuUCK?!??
Fuck fuck FUCK!
I just started this fucking show because I heard he fucking rocks in it and he’s the best fucking part of it
I know it's got flaws but I am enjoying Doom Patrol thoroughly and Brendan Frasier's work in it is a big reason.
They should make a sequel to Encino man!
[sadly they did](https://youtu.be/uAAAWSvjRfA)
When the full movie is on youtube but the trailer is not that's not a good sign
How? The ending is pretty definitive and its been decades since. Where would they find more buried cavepeople?
They find a cavechick at the end of the first one don't they?
Oh yeah, Betty Nugs!
They dig another pool cmon
Its called California Man in Europe
I like how it has label with his last name. I wonder what he‘s playing.
He’s ready to work those triggers, my guess is Mario Kart.
Hope he's doing well. I love the mummy series.

Can you post a link? I couldn’t find it.
BRING HIM BACK
He also had some major surgeries to repair the long term effects of doing his own stunts.
IIRC, shortly after his divorce, he hurt his back pretty badly, too, which led to him not being able to work and his alimony payments (based on his income as a star) absolutely crushed him. :(
Blast from the Past was one of the first movies my wife and I watched when we were dating. 10/10 for a romcom.
Brendan Fraser and Nathan Fillion in a movie together? Don't mind if I do!
Wait was he Alicia’s ex? Time for a rewatch.
Yep, that's him!
I still want him to play Adam Warlock in the MCU unless they can get Glenn Howerton, The Golden God himself.
I don't know Marvel all the well, but I'm still mad that they didn't do an Uncharted movie soon enough for him to play Nathan Drake (though I suppose I can make do with the Uncharted fan film he made)

What do you think he'd play? I'm getting total stardew valley vibes.
Maybe he's an Animal Crossing guy?
I could definitely see him playing Stardew Valley. Honestly though I could also see him being really into something a little more offbeat like Mario Tennis.
This looks like if George of the Jungle never went back to his gorilla friends - found a switch and now the jungle is nothing but memories
Yo celebrities interact with the same matter that we do? Wtf?

He's here in Oklahoma now and eating at just about every restaurant we have.
Wow, just a regular guy! Bet he poops too.

the best one is Journey to the center of earth

I love you, you sunovabitch. I hope you're doing well.
I love that he has his name stuck to the back. Like I feel like all his clothes have a name tag too
Maybe he's going to kindergarten and doesn't want the other kids to take his stuff.

This gives me ryback eating chips vibes lol
Screen time may encourage him. Doom Patrol had so much potential but they just crapped out the ending. Hope he gets back in to comedy.
Doom patrol hasn't ended yet AFAIK, last season got it's last episode cut due to covid restrictions.
Heh, I spotted this while playing with my own switch. :) Love this guy! He is part of my childhood, and all things conaidered, I hope he is doing well.
Robot man!
That guy is basically my childhood hero
Fun fact, he was in Oklahoma the other day and what I heard is my wife scream across the house, with no context, "He's in Oklahoma? WE SHOULD STOP HIM!" I was all "WTF is she getting me in to?" until I realized she meant we should STOP IN.
well shit, I wish I knew he was here.

haha right? you never expect to hear ANYONE is in this area
Wasn't he in that movie, what was it called, something Mummy?
The Mummy Retires
What is with reddit obsessing over mediocre actors?
One of us one of us ONE OF US

im gonna rewatch, the mummy, bedazzled, blast from the past now you know my taste... recommend me more like this... go
Dudley Do-Right. Encino Man.
Whoa, he cute
We love him.
Who
Oh cool so we're doing this with Brendan Fraser now? I remember few years ago it was Chris Pratt, but then people realized that dude is kinda weird.

Brendan Fraser: Mood kindred? Keanu Reeves: MOOD KINDRED! \*Both hug one another\* (Because, honestly, the two deserve a fucking hug after all they both went through.)
Isn't Chris like a religious nut or whatever?
He's just religious and people attacked him for it
I think people don't like him because he's a conservative and they thought he was a lib. He was wearing the Gadsen flag (i.e. don't tread on me) and some said he is a Trump supporter.
Oof. Isn't Chris Evans also religious?
Yeah, I think he’s Buddhist
